I loved Deo giving a little fist bump to his opponents for their strikes. You never see that on PBA television but I thought it was cool. Woulda been nice to see him get a few back.
He obviously grew up in the era of participation trophy's. I don't want to see players being all chummy chummy with each other. Apparently his opponents didn't want to either.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact that this kid is living in the moment. He is complimenting and high fiving the other bowlers and that true sportsmanship isn't seen anymore on the tour... kudos kiddo. Your future is bright ❤
Deo does the most fives and bumps I've ever seen. These vet pros are savages for competition with no communication in the match with the opponent. Good fun Deo is all new to this anyway.
I grew up bowling with BJ here in NC. He was one of the most unbelievable bowlers I’d ever seen… at like 12 years old BWAHAHAHA. He’s always been exceptional, much love to BJ
Bowling can be so dumb sometimes. Bj never missed the pocket, has a higher rev rate, but doesn’t have the carry Alec does-who went heavy 4 times. Bj loses via bad luck.
@@BrianGreenwood1352 A total ridiculous statement. Every sport has moments like that, even Olympic sports. Lots of sports should not be in the Olympics, but ten pin bowling definitely should be considered an Olympic Sport.
not really, BJ tried to use more of his speed and forward ball roll to carry, but realistically thats just not the optimal angle for the ball to drive through the 5 to take out the 8. There was no luck factor in his solid 8 leaves. The luck factor was more so the light mixers that struck for Keplinger. If BJ hits the 16.5 board, it was an 8 pin. 17.5 high flush it was a strike.
Deo bowls in my league. He’s one of the nicest guys you can ever meet. Cool guy to talk to. We gave him a standing ovation when he walked in after winning the Cheetah championship.
I love to see new guys... 2 hands or not.. I love the way they still shake or fist bump after each turn... The sportsmanship of this young guys is something we dont see from seasons pros..
thanks for showing the first 3 frames of the final match for some reason either my cable provider or FS1 it froze on the keeps commercial for like 2 minutes before going back to bowling and starting at Marshall Kent 3rd frame
Fox Sports, Thank you for uploading the Stepladder Finals of the Cheetah Championship. Also, It was awesome that Alec Keplinger, Deo Benard, and Mike Schlabach made their 1st appearance in the Cheetah Championship.
Mikey is a perfect example of mind over matter. Bowling is 90% Mental. This pattern came down to a carry contest in most matches, but Mikey buried himself in the 2nd frame bc he was so nervous. It's harder than it looks to eliminate the crowd, your family, the television cameras, and everything else going on around. With experience, he'll have to learn to block all that out and focus on each shot. Having him mic'd up, you could hear him trying to talk himself into each shot. He'll be back, he's a good bowler. His nerves just got the best of him here. Deo Bernard seemed too young to know any better 😂
First time I saw Deo he was partnered with Walter Ray in a dbls tourny and I was like hmmm he is a realy good bowler so I had to find out more.I found out he defeated Barnes in the finals to win a tourny and i was like hmm he is legit.
Schlabach was the high point of this telecast. Some fun personality. Urithane is not only destroying this sport but also giving boring telecasts. Congrats to deo.
Watch the PBA videos from the 1970's and 1980's. I like how people conducted themselves back then. No trash talking. The crowd was not acting like they are at a WWE wresteling match. Even the announcers were nice and quiet.
Deo deserved to win this match, as he had such composure. Thing is though that he took his time, he followed a process, and if he really took his brain out of it...he must have succeeded. The problem Marshall Kent had was that he didn't account for the one guy lofting the urethane ball out to the arrows and creating or carrydown, which is why his ball didn't finish so well on several shots when he did hit the proper mark. He didn't bowl badly, but basically he needed to get the ball to about four and a half to about one and a half board to be able to possibly strike. Deo just really bowled as heart out, and he deserved to win because he stayed on target and maybe only had one bad reaction-- which was the big four - -but it was obvious that his speed wasn't a problem and somehow he just shot it a little farther right instead of a little farther left to start with. But he put on a great performance, and it was wonderful to see. He deserved to win this first title no doubt about it!
It would've been so different with any reactive from ie belmo/simo/troup. They're masters at playing left to right and that was honestly the way after all the urethane from first two. I feel for kent its not fun when you bring strong equipment to a cluster of dry/carry downlane. as a 2h leftie myself when playing with urethane his moves were less noticeable on the lane but more so on the delivery with the hand adjustments. He kept jumping between tilt but until he moved to 6 board at arrows he really didnt adjust rotation apart from the 6 split. Masterfully done and i agree wholesomely he deserved this win no matter all the haters on be it 2h, lefties or urethane 😂
Really wish Stone would stop saying eurothane 7/10 pin. You can leave a soft corner with anything. His disdaine for thane has to go. Congrats Deo on a great tournament. Hope to see more in the future!
No other words Randy Pedersen hates more than, “I don’t have any nerves” or “he doesn’t have any nerves”.. He can never just let that fly by, he’s gotta say something about it 😂😂😂
Schlabach was super fun and hope to see him regularly. Great attitude even when not getting the hits. LOVED the 'make some noise' at the end
😟 Don't have the words but he will be BACK.
Wow randy is a zeppelin fan never
Saw that coming
Deo adjusted gradually, held the line, and worked with Zen. Recovering from Big Four against Kent. Well done, man!

they did high five him bj and phew others did
@@Joker81075 why its good that players high five each other
@@ainelawlor5755 what are they going to do when he puts his hand out? I mean, they should have walked by him. This isn't a tea party.

This really was a great show. Congrats to the winner, very much deserved.

Schlabach was very fun to watch. I love his positive attitude throughout the match. Benard put on an amazing performance. Great job buddy.
Deo’s bowling style is very beautiful.
Haven’t seen a pro having so much fun in a long time. Mikey Schlabach pure class and best wishes next time out 👏
Congratz to Benard. Great bowling. That Klepinger kid is something else too. I expect to see him in many more TV finals and winning titles soon.
congrats DEO, you will always remember this one.

Bosoares and bowling planet we will never forget you and we appreciate you 😎
So happy for him. He has been bowling so well for years its great to see him make TV and win. Congrats Deo.
Deo holding his composure during the whole match was amazing.
Deo is going to be great. He fits in just fine. Congratulations, sir.
I grew up bowling with BJ here in NC. He was one of the most unbelievable bowlers I’d ever seen… at like 12 years old BWAHAHAHA. He’s always been exceptional, much love to BJ
deo won a doubles tournament a couple months ago with the goat walter ray williams jr
Well the future of bowling looks very bright! Congratulations Deo!
Impressive performance, Deo. May you have many more wins to come. I like your unassuming attitude on the lanes and the skills you displayed.
i love mikey's energy
Spoiler Warning:
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO DEO!! IM SO PROUD OF YOU MY BOY!! YOU EARNED IT!
Bowled on the same pair with Deo on 2023 US Open and he was possibly one of the nicest guys ever! Congratulations Deo!
BJ played such a good game but those two 8 pins are shattering
Ain't those called Randy pins?😫
Bowling can be so dumb sometimes. Bj never missed the pocket, has a higher rev rate, but doesn’t have the carry Alec does-who went heavy 4 times.
Bj loses via bad luck.
That’s bowling for you, doesn’t matter how good you throw it if it isn’t your day then it isn’t your day and that’s just how it goes
The bowling gods got him back in the very next game. It almost always evens out at some point.

Deo Benard, wow This kid has ice running through his veins. If he stays on this trajectory he will be the all time greatest bowler in the world.
Holy christ BJ losing is absolute highway robbery, rough part of bowling.
BJ and Kiplinger throw the ball remarkably similar. They both stay behind the ball well and roll it really good.
These young guns are phenomenal 👏🏾🔥
I love BJ. Greatest player in all aspects for me! He will win💪🏻
Insane run by Deo. The sport is in good hands
Deo is a jersey you see on a lot of vlogs. Glad he finally broke through!

Thanks for uploading as I don’t have a video record option with my cheap cable box
Often times you cant bowl three games like this the entire season on a house shot in your home bowling center
Deo is one great player! Really happy for him. I wonder if all those right handers burned up the lanes and gave Deo an advantage
“ Great, right hope”… excellent
Aaaw I feally wanted Keplinger to win it. Great form and prospect.
I have never seen this Deo guy before, but his strike song is Avicii and X Ambassadors, so he has 100% of my support no questions asked
