What was your favorite highlight from the PBA World Championships?
Ej”s messenger in match 3
Baby Tackett
EJ & his talent, enough said.
It's a sporting event right? Have those watching make some noise and cheer!!!! If someone is channel surfing, they won't stop if everyone is quiet.
My Favorite Highlights were the fantastic finishes in the 1st and 2nd matches of the Pba World Championship.
Ej tackett keeping the one handed game very much alive
single handedly cause were getting full 2 handed step ladders now.
@@gideon7932 Not really "single-handedly". The Illinois Classic this year had all one handers in the final 5. Full one hand step ladder. In fact, the top 9 in standings for that tourney were one handers. We still have many great one hand bowlers.
@@BornIn1500Any one handed lefties on that list?
Ok why people acting like one handed is gonna be replaced fully? Majority of tournament winner are still 1 handed, most are still righties. When did this sport have so much whiners man...
@@akbarshabazz-jenkins7847 no. The first one hand lefty in standings for that tourney was Graham Fach at like 19th.
Yep, EJ is player of the year already and it's not close. Guy is on another level.
Personally I think the TOC could determine it
Simo?
@@caseykoll5750 Not even close. EJ has made almost every show this year.
@@caseykoll5750down year for him for his standards
@@JimFourOneTwoThree If Bill wins it and EJ flames out then maybe because that would get O'Neil pretty clear in the earnings race. All other metrics though it is EJ. He is pacing Belmonte in a lot of the all time metrics (remember he is nearly a decade younger). If he stays healthy he is easily top 3 all time. 40 titles and 10+ majors well within range.
I am so used to seeing EJ explode with emotion after a win. Today he had ice in his veins and never looked so focused. Player of the year right here.
Winning as a one handed right hander in the tournament that was supposed to be for the 2 handed left handers is Player of the Year material.
Its crazy how much more enjoyable the telecast is when rob stone is commentating
Agreed, the other guy has been okay but there's clearly no chemistry at all. Plus Rob stone seems to know what's going on and excited to be there
Yes totally agree!!!
EJ is just a beast. 23 titles in only 13 years. Crazy resumè he has. Fun to watch
Indiana boy , like the Oldgoat.😅
Yep, and what 7? of those in the last 2 seasons? Wild man
I think he has a great chance to beat Walter Ray’s title record
That many titles in that many years bowling a fraction of the tournaments every year the HOF's bowled back in their day.
@@Steve.Orland no chance, they bowled so many more events back then. Ej would have to get 8 per year for the next 10 years, or 4 per year until he's 51? won't happen
Love seeing the one hander with reactive winning. EJ is my favorite. I don’t hate urethane or two hands, but as an old school bowler and from Indiana, I love to see EJ win! Let’s go!
❤
I think this was less about one handed or two handed and more about the lefties simply messing up each other's lines lol especially the two handed urethane throwers. That's always going to be their downfall. That and the unwillingness to at least try to switch to reactive.
@@akbarshabazz-jenkins7847it was this. The lanes got carried down, but it was worse on the left side because of all the urethane being thrown over there. Russo didn't have a strong enough ball to cut through it, EJ could put enough hand on it to make it work. Otherwise he would have been balling up to a Jackal Ghost
There's nothing more EJ Tackett than missing a 3-6-10 on your final shot after winning the world championships. Congrats EJ!
Bro I literally thought of your video when I saw that
he all ready won it before that shot lol
@@ainelawlor5755 right, “after winning the world championships. Congrats EJ!” lol
@@JacHatesSports yeah but he won
He had already won by that point. He just threw random balls down in celebration, like he does when he needs 2 pins to win and he just fires his spare ball at the head pin. I would definitely not qualify this as a "missed spare" by any more. It was just a victory lap and he didn't feel the need to run real fast.
I bowled with EJ at the Dayton open. This was probably in the 2013-2014 timeframe. I don’t think he had made it to the tour yet, but the guy bled Motiv. He would talk about them in between shots. Little did I know that kid would turn into this guy. Small world. Gotta say. One of the nicest people. Crazy to see where he is 10 years later.
Before last year there was a large group of people saying that he should leave because he could make tv but couldn’t win…I’m sure he’s glad he didn’t change.
PBA is amazing, love bowling! Love it when Rob is with Randy....great combo!!
EJ these last two years has been on another level.
And just like that EJ Tackett jumps to first in the player of the year race
Thank you Fox Sports for being generous enough to upload these bowling events!
Live by urethane, die by urethane........ Grats EJ!
Wow, I really felt for Jesper in that semi-final game. He couldn't carry almost anything.....
Knowing angles and having that much power makes him almost unbeatable when he’s dialed in. EJ will be right there with Belmo, Earl, and PDW when it’s all said and done
I love how EJ raised his hand and waved at the audience after every time he struck. EJ is my favorite. He’s good.
Actually enjoyed watching the lefties struggle from the high usage of urethane. They did themselves zero favors today. Great bowling all week to all!
Yep, usually it's the righties who have to deal with all the oil being pushed down by the urethane balls. Tonight both Jasper and Matt had to deal with all that pushed down oil, and even with balls as great as theirs, those 7 pins stood up way too often.
EJ is my favorite bowler and I’m so glad he won. He truly deserves it.
3 two handers wrecked by the greatest one hander all in one show. Great to see. 🖐
You have to be a giant dork to care about it either way
But the one handler won.nothing against the 2 handlers I really like 2 handers
@@edwardranno7119What do you mean “but”, you literally just repeated what he said
Actually 4 two handers. But doesnt matter. Ej is just amazing. Fun to watch
Started bowling no thumb one handed earlier this year but since watching ej Tackett I switched to traditional one hand with the thumb. Isn’t easy but I like the challenge! Congrats ej!
I just love watching EJ winning! Much love from Brazil 💛💚
The 7 pin did not like 2 handed lefties today
They had to deal with carry-down because there were 4 of them on the broadcast. Lefties have no clue how to bowl with traffic on their side of the lane and it really showed today.
Yep, that 7 pin was like a big middle finger to Jasper and Matt. Every time they HAD to have a strike, the 7 pin stood up to mock them.
Russo had a bad line to the pocket. I was pretty much predicting the 7 pins. It got a little better after the ball change on the left lane.
When the first 3 lefties use urethane and make the left side weird.
I call it the Happy Gilmore effect. Energetic crowd helps a player perform better in a typically quiet environment.
congratulations EJ. PBA World Championship trophy in one hand and your beautiful baby boy in the other, that’s as good as life can get ❤️❤️❤️
I think Eric Jones will be big. Seems to have a good mental game as well, despite his young age.
Congrats EJ. You have worked very hard and you earned it and deserve it. Keep up the awesome bowling.
"Got a great story about his mom" 21:35 XD
Definitely was a great show. I know the lefties had trouble carrying the 7 and 10 pin. They were throwing nothing but urethane except Matt Russo
EJ Tackett truly a freak of nature with a monstrous release. Also, Jesper's game was so sad and frustrating to watch.. Those breaks were unforgiving towards southpaw 2 handers today. Only Eric got something out of it, but wasn't enough to stop a dialled in EJ.
Thunderbowl is known well for its 7&10 pins standing
"I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content" - E.J. Tackett
Congrats EJ, the best on the planet!!!!
I love the commentator 😂 hattteeeerrrr
I really wanted to see Eric Jones run the ladder .. that kid has balls of steel .. to bad the carry said otherwise
I don’t understand the ball choice by Russo or Svensson… ball choice was clearly the problem not finishing through the pins, they all finished toward the 8 pin not the 9 like they should have.
Noticing that all week with the urethane. Hits the headpin and deflects
I don't think Russo has a ball in his bag that could carry. Pins on his solid asymms were likely too short to give him the length he needed
Haha I love the “ninja assassin” name really dig the commentary from these two.
Love having Rob on the PBA
Respect to the Winner 🏆
If you think Jesper not striking is as Rob Stone says "bad breaks", it's not. It's bad ball choice and bad ball motion. Execution was fine, shouldn't have been in that 78U.
For me, the only leave you can reasonably claim is a “bad break” is a solid 8 (9 for lefties), since a lot of the time that’s due to a bad rack. And even so, you can make an adjustment to avoid it if you leave it. So yeah, 100% agree with you here. Hate when people talk about bad breaks and luck.
Yep watch the flat 7 hits, the ball deflects off the headpin pretty bad. The urethane balls tend to do that, and almost like carrying the 7 is luck vs leaving it being bad luck.
@@sonofnothing the lefties usually have the look with urethane for much longer, but with 4 of them on the pair they saw the urethane transition that's normally seen on the right. After a game or two, you gotta be aware of getting out of it. You would think the ball reps would know, but who am I to judge 🤷🏻
@@seymourbutts5277 yeah 100% the bowlers should know, too. I know the feeling of being too stubborn to get out of a ball, but they are the pros..
Bad ball choice, bad motion, bad ball. The IQ core is fantastic, but it does not match up to urethane at all, it's too much core without any asymmetry to help it lay down, and it just dumps all of its energy at your feet
Congratulations EJ Tackett you deserve it
Congratulations EJ tackett🎉
Matt Russo is an up and comer and has a bright future ahead of him. EJ is a generational Great who will go down in the annals of the PBA as one of its brightest stars, and he's in the middle of his prime. It would have taken a fantastic effort from Russo to keep this trophy out of EJ's hands.
EJ was vulnerable at times today but the rest were not good enough
You guys did a terrific job the commentary was very enjoyable thank you 😊
Really nice to FINALLY see a Pride ball winning championships!
nasty massacre by the only righty
Fox Sports, Thank you for uploading the 2nd Show of the Stepladder Finals of the Pba World Championship. Also, Is Matt Russo going to bowl in the Pba Playoffs in a couple of weeks?
I love bowling since I was addicted playing it as a scjampion, I had funn and released stress
EJ using the pride today
Skinny jeans was the best comment I heard from the commentator 😅
*Thank you for your quality content! Your videos are always useful and enjoyable* 👍🏼😍
EJ Tackett is a Bowling Guru. 😂
RUN THAT LADDER! EJ is soooo back after some early tv struggles.
This show made a good argument about why I hate urethane. 🤔
EJ Tackett vs his stunt double for the championship lol
EJ WITH A DREAM COME TRUE FOR RIGHT-HANDED BOWLER AGAINST LEFTHANDED FIELD
EJ is the new Norm Duke of this tour. A fan favorite and an really nice guy!! Congrats EJ!!! 🎳
Jesper needs to stop throwing Urethane so late. It's been the literal detriment to his game this season
So happy for EJ
Ej climbing the ladder to win its just mind blowing
Mount Rushmore of releases without Kris Prather, cmon now?
Or Mike Fagan. Or Big Nasty
Reading comments everyone is crying for Jesper. What about Eric? Stone-9 likely changes the outcome of that match, and then things are pretty even as every leftie fights the transition hoping to find something that works.
EJ ~ definite advantage to be the only righty on the lanes, no one messing with his side.
Love you Randy!
Does anyone notice how e.j. tackett has rob scheineiders voice
EJ is that dude!!!
He brought the last pair of skinny jeans
EJ deserved it. Congrats 👏 👏 👏
What's with the flaccid handwaves after every shot now?
Great win for EJ.
Congratz to EJ and Family!
이제이 타켓선수 실제로 한국에서 뵈었는데 멋지신분입니다
Agreed! He is!
Congratulations EJ. Tackett 🎉
EJ was locked in 🔥
Omg! Why does Svensson insist on playing that 78u? To say he has a poor look is putting it mildly! Be better of sticking with good old Pitch Black
Pitch black is already banned from pba
@@yusryrostam Ohh yes i guess they did. Too bad for Svensson they havent released a good replacement. Not the U78 at least. What was it something about the hardness of the ball?
Congrats EJ!
One wonders if both Svensson and Russo had managed to get their corner pins out, it may have been a different ending !
I bowled against Mr. Anthony in the late 70s.
Well gee, tell us your bowling name. I have Earl's autograph made out to me when he was at a casino in Wisconsin. I bowled against Don McCune and his kid when Eugene first started with the men in Munster Indiana.😊
Mount Rushmore of releases without Robert Smith? No way, Mr. Mark Baker!😀😀😀
EJ's kid looks just like him.
EJ es en fuego !
Anyone else think the left side played easier on this pattern? Only 2 out of 9 were rightys lol
Thank you bowlingplanet
Well done.
22:08 What is EJ’s song here? Is it a country song?
Good Job EJ!!!
EJ is a real dad ❤
EJ is the man with a plan
SPOILER:
We're gonna have an EJ Tackett oil pattern at some point. This dude is the realest deal, running the leftie ladder like a total champ. Unreal, love to see bowling excellence.
@emandude Already exist. Tackett has a 44 ft pattern on the PBA Jr Circuit, along with Bill Oneill and Danielle McEwan.
@@gunner-qf9eh good to know! Dude is a legend, love to see the greatness on display.
Imagine if a player unlucky lose his ball from his hand, and it roll over and hit the trophy
EJ is the nicest dude! I love the announcers too! Those guys are sooo funny!
My favorite bowlers: EJ, Tommy Jones, Bill O'Neill. One Hand Thumb in masters! Only way to bowl. 2 Handed is sickening.
What's EJ's first name? Eddie? Enoch? Ezekiel? Enaughter? Inquiring minds want to know! "Hey E, what's up?"
I love bowling.
With a great family comes greater need to bowl much better and be the best at his skill
Squirrel! 😁
I think this wraps up the debate on who's the best player in the world.
Lots of luck in bowling. That's kind of what makes it interesting. Cause you never know what the heck is going to happen.😮
I disagree, there’s very little luck in bowling IMO. There’s an adjustment to make pretty much every time you don’t strike, other than when you occasionally get a bad rack and leave an 8 pin (9 pin for lefties) or something like that.
Definitely agree with your last sentence though; unlike a lot of sports, in bowling any professional can beat any other professional so literally anything can happen in a stepladder like this.
