Actually in the new COP both the Split Jump 1/2 and Straddle Jump 1/2 done in side stand without proper finish of the turn (Like she does) will be considered a "B" element and not a C. They're really coming for those quarter turns. (Donatella talked about it in a Webinar)
Thank you for the insight! I was unsure as to how the 1/2 turn jumps done this way would be downgraded/credited. With this information, *her routine will now have a difficulty score of 6.5.*
@@FlyHighGymnastics it will still be both C in DV. What he/she means in the comment is that there is a new execution deduction for turning leaps or jumps. “Turning leaps must finish the turn before executing the leap”.
Still very competitive! Based on the new code, she'll have to relearn the sideways split 1/2 and straddle 1/2 to get credit, but I'm sure she can or she'll do different combinations to get the same or higher D score.
They both were "B" element in the last code of points, but the Split Leap was downgraded because they didn't like how people were using it (slow connections). Also, i guess gymnasts find it harder to perform Split Jumps since they take off from two feet and land in two feet.
She will definitely change it up quite a bit for the next CoP. Interesting to see her new composition and which new she will use once she drops those side way jumps.
Nope. To receive series bonus, the elements must be minimally of "B" value, with one "C" element. Since the split leap is an "A" value element, the front aerial series she performs is not eligible to receive 0.1 in series bonus.
Because it has the most difficult elements of any elite beam routine performed by elite gymnasts in competition. Gymnastics is judged by the number of elements you perform in a routine
Because of all the difficult connections she has, especially with her mount. Any major hesitation can break the connections and they're very tough to execute. She was solid in event finals

@@FlyHighGymnastics Question: If she does the straddle jump between front aerial and korbut, what will be her D-score then?
@@Fvhlipe *6.7* This is after the aforementioned change of d-score to 6.5 due to the devaluing of the 1/2 turning jumps to "B" skills.

I want to know what Kui Yuan Yuan's Iconic Beam is worth. Both in difficulty and execution. Would love to see it scored.
It's such a shame she's now retired! :(
What’s the requirement for those half turn jumps from cross position to count? Does the half turn need to be completed while still in split position?
Why split jump is a B element but split leap is an A element? I just curious!

Probably gonna be an aerial and a switch leap, but a boy can dream.
Didn’t she retire
@@d00f60 did she? That’s sad

wait why does she not get credited for the side leaps ??
angela andreoli has 6.4+0.6cv+0.2 dismount😩
Do not know why this is called the hardest beam routine
Because in SV it is, regardless you think it's hard or not
Because it has the most difficult elements of any elite beam routine performed by elite gymnasts in competition.
Gymnastics is judged by the number of elements you perform in a routine
It’s not the hardest in terms of hardest skills, but it’s the hardest in terms of SV
@@marteenahsanchez1238 Max of 8 elements . In beam 3 across

Definitely that is not the hardest routine in balance bean .
