    Great views. Windy. The falls are great. Nice time lapse at the beginning.

    Brilliant - watching your films is like being up there. Can almost feel the wind and the ground underfoot. Like the new talking Gerry too :)

      Cheers Adrian, I hope you didn't have to put your gloves on like I did ;-) It is interesting the way things develop and I think the talking can add a great deal in describing the journey so I think it is here to stay :-) Take care and have many adventures in 2019 :-)

    Great to see this area in the raw! lighting was beautiful Gerry it really looks a fulfilling place to hike. I loved the views by the loch side at the bottom and then the distance you traveled looking back towards the loch, gives the viewer a real perspective of the walk. I remember driving through this area and wishing we could stay a couple of days, so very good to see ;) Tim

    Super video Gerry..... as always, many thanks, last time I was there the midges would have eaten anyone alive! Winter/ autumn is the time to go, a beautiful wild place

      @gerrymcveigh  5 лет назад

      Cheers Richard, I have been eaten alive by those very same midges on a wet and miserable day with little wind, it is great not to have to worry about them. Agree that autumn and winter are great times to visit :-)

    Stunning footage Gerry, you really made the most of the beautiful weather !! I was over there last month and climbed Drumnalifferny, up and down the same way you came down. I found the ground pretty tough-going on the lowest part. The Derryveaghs are among my top favourite Irish mountain ranges, so beautifully wild and rugged.

    • @gerrymcveigh
      @gerrymcveigh  5 лет назад +1

      Cheers David, totally agree that the Derryveaghs are up at the top in terms of mountains in Ireland. That was a really good day for walking and I am sure it was beautiful on Drumnalifferny :-)

    Hi Gerry, loved the time lapses at the start, great stuff. Lovely sunset over Lough Barra (19.24). It seemed pretty windy, however the wind added to the sense of adventure, i nearly went to get a coat. Any day its not raining its a good day to be out and about. As always, beautiful footage of Donegal and very nicely edited. Buy the way are you using a different camera when your panning around and blogging? I enjoyed the walk 👌

    • @gerrymcveigh
      @gerrymcveigh  5 лет назад +1

      Aidan, i only had the Go Pro with me that day. I usually take it and the DSLR which is great for zooming in on distant views and for up close stuff - it would have added to the day with close ups of Errigal etc. The Go Pro is good for talking to the camera and it was interesting to just be using it on the day as i had to think differently about shots.

    Did you start your journey from the parking lot? Where is the path to the river?

    • @gerrymcveigh
      @gerrymcveigh  5 лет назад

      Yes, started at the small carpark at the lough and just followed the lough around until i reached the river - it was a bit difficult following the river upstream to find a crossing point though more than manageable :-)
