I Didn't like any of the glass or glass composite rods from Major Craft, Tailwalk, Daiwa, or Palms, for some reason they try to copy carbon feel and lose all glass benefits. Only glassiness feel in them are when you hook something bigger. In particular about Palms egeria native 46XUL, the taper is really weird, it is thick to the tip making it hard to get nice bend while casting and that's like main thing you buy a glass rod. Anglo & Company Paragon Glass, M-Aire Makasage Glass or Fenwick (Tiemco) Glass is benchmark of good trout glass rods and funnily enough, this chinesium glassfin is closest to them.
Glassfin isnt as sensitive as those mentioned. I guess if you are after that old school true glass feel, the glassfin is your better option. @hunterfisher builds rods so he can chime in on his preferences on sensitivity.
I like that real! I have a Calcutta 50 that's like 30 years old, I still use it, though it's not a true BFS it can cast a pretty light bait...FishOn....jimi
Whats up with the bettle spin comments?im 59 and have been bfs for years now I have a eagle claw Featherlite rod 4ft 10 in light action rod with a bps prolite finnesse baitcaster which is great due to the ponds and creeks i fish have alot of shoreline trees and brushes making overhand casting next to impossible
Glad you did this review…I have been looking at this rod for a while.
Glass rods are an interesting consideration. Tons of great options. I’d love to see more budget appropriate options. *cough* Tsurinoya *cough*
@@TheHunterFisher yeah TSU has some good stuff out know and a good fan base, they should keep it up and keep grinding.
Great video best you've put out in a while
What line are you running on the CQ?
👍👍So insightful field review
Lol that hat. My kids each have one.
Great content! I've been thinking about getting a bfs set up similar to this one👍
Fyi, Palms Egeria 46UL and Tailwalk Troutia C46L are glass rods that I find to be better options. Both are available from digitaka.
I want to try some Palms rods. Didn’t they have a Pinwheel light game rod?
@TheHunterFisher , i have not tried the pinwheel, just the Egeria in 44xxul and 46ul.

Are the sections not intended to fully slide together on these rods?
Yes, it’s inspired by jdm

Nothing wrong with it! People just tell me all the time it’s odd I fish it often 😂. Usually older fisherman do
@@TheHunterFisher it is a cheap and effective bait .I really enjoy your videos on bfs fishing
I'm gunna try one of the AliExpress glass options and do a review
