  • On this episode of TheFallenState TV, Jesse Lee Peterson sits down with radio host Starlett Quarles, president of Urban X Marketing and host of "The Dialogue." When asked about her background, Starlett explains that she is a rarity in the black community, in that she was raised in a traditional household by both her father and mother. Despite agreeing on the benefits of a traditional family upbringing, Starlett and Jesse see almost every other topic in a different light: affirmative action, white privilege, and 'institutional racism.' They also debate whether most single black mothers are angry, and Jesse asks why Starlett hasn't gotten married. Tune in and watch the fun and entertaining exchange unfold.

      @@madamluis2537, that's the "R" strategy, which is breed lots of children, with little to no investment in them, and hope for the best. It is almost always accompanied with low impulse control, and exaggerated sexual bodily features and sexual displays. The "K" strategist has one mate, a small number of children, and invests all of their resources into them. These people specialise in delayed gratification due to control over their impulses. Generally societies high in "K" are more religious, with women who have less exaggerated sexual features and advertisement. And all of this is based on how rough survival was for our ancestors for hundreds of thousands of years. Tough environments select for "K", while stable, unchanging environments select for "R".

      @Bo Stephens I never analyze the spirit of any race or cultural awareness. That seems like something that an aryan white nationalist would do. It's funny to think these days that black people worked so hard to get away from discrimination and segregation. But now turn and say they want their own black schools with no white political interference. It seems that some black people have become the very thing they hated. Bigots

    • @arcadiagreen150
      @arcadiagreen150 4 года назад

      You insult me. You call me idiot and satanic child. You show utter disdain for basic human decency. I never once insulted you personally. I never attacked your belief system even though I disagree with it. I simply stated things that are objectively true. And then mixed in my opinion. The saying goes that "a student who knows all still has alot to learn." It seems to apply here when you make alot of irrational assertions. You make it sound like you want whites to fix black problems even though most blacks refuse to change their culture. There is no point in leading a horse to water, when the horse won't drink. Throwing money,man power, social support doesn't make any difference if the people see it as "whites trying to turn us into them". All it takes is one look at any African country to see that pure black leadership and population results in an economic, social, and political travesty that is 10 times worse than any united states town, city, or state. Once blacks stop reminding us of how they are black and we aren't, we can perhaps move foreward. All you like to do is pretend that I can't know what it's like, or how to communicate with black people. I communicate with all people I encounter the exact same way. Criminals deserve prison, intelligence deserves to be rewarded. Hard work by the strength of a person's legs and back are worth recognizing. Stupid people that refuse to raise themselves above ignorance deserve to reap what they sow.
      The absolute biggest thing that every human being in America NEEDS is *accountability*. Take ownership of every action and reaction. White, black, asian, indian, middle eastern. Every single person regardless of their meaningless color. I don't care what color anyone is, but a trend among blacks seems to point in a negative direction . The community of mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews need to take a hard look in the mirror. And then look around at others who don't struggle and starve and emulate the behavior of success until success is achieved.
      Black america needs to greatly reduce the single black motherhood epidemic. It has only created generations of black children that lack the proper support structure.
      Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone. Therefore no man or woman who does not have their own house in order should be allowed to attack others for their own misfortunes.

      @@rtrolly, then why are American blacks displaying the same characteristics of the majority of African blacks? Slavery has practically nothing to do with it. Evolution does.
      The "R" life strategy breeds lots of children with as many mates as they can mate with, with little to no investment in them, and hope for the best.
      Now look at the various races, or even people around you, and you will see how magnificently this plays out.

She was abusive hurting me lazy irrational victim and she STILL is the same at 50 years old. My dad always came to my rescue and gave me the education on not being that way. He gave me respect and love. He taught me to be calm not impulsive. He taught me everything. Professionalism, how victim mentality is not good. I must take accountability for my actions and there are consequences to my decisions. My dad is the reason I survived. My daughter dad is abusive and I’m disgusted with myself for having a child with someone I can’t be with for fear of my life. I don’t date but I will choose the proper father figure for her because she needs the protection from me and the guidance of a real man. She needs balance. She is two but time is ticking. I pray every night asking god for forgiveness that she doesn’t have her dad and that he gives me the right man for us. Black or white we need to make it popular again to have a strong family unit (a mom and dad at home). In the last 20 years the "nuclear" family has become uncool, and single women are told they can "do it on their own", which is wrong because kids need a positive male role model to look up to. Studies show time and time again kids with both mom and dad at home perform better at school, stay out of trouble, and usually go on to secondary education like college/trade school. These kids also grow up to have solid families themselves and raise well behaving children who go on to perform in school. I do agree with Jesse that having a spirituality in the home helps, but I don't believe it is the only basis for having a solid family and raising good kids. This isn't a black vs white thing, this is a human being thing.

Did her father not have to earn his way? Of course he did. Yet, as the child of a Harvard graduate, she had to utilize affirmative action to get into UCLA. She became very defensive when Jesse started probing her about her education. She sounds ashamed of the fact that she couldn't get into a university based on merit alone like her father. I'm not saying she is not smart, but she should have explained how her father got into Harvard, a mostly white, prestigious, Ivy League school, without affirmative action, yet according to her, she just couldn't do without it when applying for acceptance to UCLA. This woman is contradicting herself all over the place.

      @@stacyswiss307 I didn't have a dear old daddy I had a pedophile for a father so I got out as soon as I possibly could. I wasn't rubbing it in anybody's face nor am I playing the victim. But now I understand why my comment bothered you because you feel that it applies to you. This is where I'm going to say that's on you because I'm not responsible for how you are. I am only responsible for what I say and my actions. So if you choose to put up with their crap. That's your fault. Don't be hating on me because you don't have the guts for yourself.
      So please take your little self righteous pity party and go annoy someone else.
