    Ryan basically asked what's in it for the participants. These are the "omnipotent moral busybodies". CS Lewis answered that question before these particular people even existed.
    "Of all the tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may
    may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons
    than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may
    sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but

      I have used that same quote multiple times too. Thanks. Fits perfectly here
      Here is the full quote:
      “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, and his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of Earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. We all know that the intent of Laura Loony wasn't merely to say that curry smells. Most people are not that daft, but Matt Walsh is obviously hopeful that some of us are. Just look at her history and you can read her intent. It was a racist attack meant to offend, straight from a culture with a history of judging the customs of "less civilized" people whom it was in the interests of the colonizers to dehumanize. Making fun of smelling like curry is an old, well-worn racist trope. She would have said much worse if social media didn't have rules around overtly racist language. Edit: ok I spoke a little too soon. The chill tone Ryan delivers with can be so powerful because it forces people like Matt to contend with the substance of what he’s saying instead of latching onto the tone of it or the emotions and then run with it like they won the argument because the other side got upsetty spaghetti. Second, ill will means bad intent. Saying someone is part of a group with lower IQ does not make one a racist. Just like saying that group is several times more likely to commit violence. Its simply being informed.
      These are problems white hill billies had way back and we shamed those people out of society. The problem is with the B community we have white liberals since the 60s propping up that bad behavior as "blck culture" so its off limits to shame it. can understand why Ryan never named one study on Mortgage discrimination. Ryan simply states that there are numerous studies that show racial discrimination in mortgage lending, but fails to provide a citation for one. He also admits that people will probably find fault in them which is true. I can see why he never gave one specific citation study as most research studies are false to begin with. HE WAS RELYING on people watching this not to check out the veracity and efficacy of the studies.
      I have looked at the various studies out there and Blacks do pay more, but each study does not ask the question as to whether they are justified in charging more. They simply state there is a discrepancy and that is evidence/proof enough of racial bias. In other words some of the researchers confabulate correlation = causation. See High-Income Black Homeowners Receive Higher Interest Rates than Low-Income White Homeowners Tuesday, February 16, 2021 | Raheem Hanifa. "While additional studies are needed to identify the specific causes of Black-white interest rate disparities, widespread racial discrimination in mortgage markets has played a role." They leave it at that but provide no evidence to link "racial discrimination in mortgage markets"?!?
      Additionally, the title is very misleading. It's unbelievable how disingenuous the author is. For example the difference within the same income range ($75K - $100k) is only .00085% or 8.5 % of 1%. Thats not even close to being statistically significant. The only significant difference is in the ($30K - $44999) range of income. I wish he had made his data available or point to his source so that one could determine the randomness and whether the study was under powered (e.g. not enough data to draw a conclusion).
      Might also suggest you read "Why Most Published Research Findings Are False" by John Ioannidis, a professor at the Stanford School of Medicine. It will open your eyes!
      Thomas Sowell succinctly puts, “Some things are believed because they are demonstrably true. But many other things are believed simply because they have been asserted repeatedly-and repetition has been accepted as a substitute for evidence.”
      You should also consider how Obama was involved in a suit against Citibank for discrimination in give Mortgages in Chicago. Of the 186 mortgages that were given only 19 of those still own the house with a clean credit rating. Thats ~ 90% failure rate. Many of the people who got the mortgages did not thank Obama as they had to go into bankruptcy too. See Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank Investors Business Daily and MetroWest Daily News.

      literally other way around. Last 10 minutes, this dude was slapped with so much undeniable facts of racism and systemic racism, so intelligently and elegantly... and all he could muster up was "I probably disagree with you" which is a ludicrous statement in itself and "oh it's class not race" which was an outright lie... you need to rewatch and take notes mate :D

    The prison system wasn't created to be sexist. But male prisoners far outnumber women prisoners. Therefore, the prison system is sexist.
    That's Ryan's reasoning.

    • @t.n.tforever3400
      @t.n.tforever3400 Месяц назад

      To better perfect your analogy the way that he would use it is saying that prison was created to place men in prison but down the line they had started to allow women to also become inmates and just because the women are now going to jail along with the men it doesn't mean that the effect or the intention behind the jail has changed it's only expanded So instead of injustice being done on black people it's now being done on all people in America and that's the claim that's being made is that we're all equal now so the system is no longer racist. The point that Ryan is making is that even though the system now has laws in place against that the effects of what was put in place in the beginning are still having an echo within the psychology and the actions of those people that those laws were put on against. So in a sense the system is still racist in the fact that the effect of its original racist intention is still having a causality within the people of color today. And Matt does not want to acknowledge that.

    • @squiddler7731
      @squiddler7731 Месяц назад

      Always question the systems around you, even if you think it's stupid and the conclusion is self-evident. Maybe the reason more men are in prison is simply because men are inherently more likely to commit crimes, but correlation is not the same as causation and maybe there's some other factor at play.
      Prisons probably aren't sexist, but that doesn't mean we don't have other societal issues pushing more men towards behavior that gets them locked up. It doesn't mean men are inherently prone to violent crimes. The point isn't to make blanket statements about prisons being racist or sexist, it's about identifying why patterns exist to see if we can actually do something about it.

    As an Asian American, I know through personal experience how a gated community had undisclosed preferences with regards to who could purchase a condo there: black people were the least favored, Latino and Asians were next, white people of European descent was the most favored. Racism does exist, it’s just more subtle and hidden. Progress has been made, but it will take time, through cultures blending and intermarrying or friendships that are diverse.
