They must love me because they always visit in my backyard when I'm outside lol
They probably think your are awesome😎 but I bet your yard has a nice food source as well😏
@@FloridaKeysBirding hahaha I did! But, we just had a bad storm and my tree that they were living in fell :( Great informative video though!
I am in Ontario Canada and saw him a few days ago…
Interesting that there get up that’s far north!
Thanks for this! Found a dead one, think it crashed into my window
Aww sorry to hear that🫤 you can buy anti collision bird stickers for your window to prevent birds from crashing.
I have an owl nesting box and today saw a couple of this bird bringing material ❤❤❤ i have seem them but not sure how tolerant of humans they are...i am in orlando
That’s so awesome! You’ll have to let me know if you get babies! I’ve got screech owls that don’t seem to like people too
Much 😄
I’m watching a pair build their nest- 15 ft from my busy garden! I identified this bird by their crest! It’s always fluffed! Maybe it’s one sex that fluffs a lot. My first impression is that they’re friendly! They just seemed to be always near. I put some corn husks out for their nest build.
That's great maybe the ones near you are used to seeing people and more friendly. The ones by me fly off as soon as they see me! lol ide love to see some babies I bet they are so cute!
@@FloridaKeysBirding oh yeah! They don’t mind people at all! I worry. There is roof access to this cavity in the golden rain tree. (Koelreuteria) There is a cat in the area.
Is it common for the pair of birds to live elsewhere while they build? They seem to have bankers hours!🤣
@@FloridaKeysBirding one creature that runs from me is an orange head agama…or agana. He’s possessed a tree in my yard. It’s interesting how they started down there in the keys, I’m in Fort Pierce! Have they taken over down there? Did they wipe out the native lizards or was that just a failed prediction?
@@cherylj7460 we still have native green anoles , you don’t see them as much though. I actually don’t see agamas as much as I see curly tails and brown anoles. Green iguanas are everywhere we already know lol I like the lizards too though 😄 I have a few videos on them😄
@@cherylj7460 that’s funny! The nesting flycatchers I saw had their babies I did the nest and the parents would go in and out looking for food and feeding the babies.
