it’s not confirmed since japanese doesn’t *really* use third person pronouns so its hard to translate gender stuff to english (which is so dependent on pronouns) ^^; so i think it’s used here since their gender is more ambiguous! :>
In chaika's case, Im not sure how they refer to themself but I remember a clip of Chaika's lever gacha daipan that he said that he just a "weird crossdresser"and not a okama/trans/something(?) to that extent, so its likely he will usually masculine pronouns(he/him). If im remember Japanese way to refer to themself are more detailed ,so I guess it safe to assume that he use that masculine pronoun though he will use other as a joke.
