Luv u Steve. Great memories that i will never forget. Passed away the day after my 60th birthday. Thanks for what you brought us/me in the 70s. Absolute brilliant Bass guitarist. RIP buddy.🎸👍
@@philliptree1742 Set me Free is one of the roots from Heavy Metal. My favourit song on this album is No You Don't but it is my favourit album. Very hard and high quality.
Apparently not as cruel as you. Don't you have anything better to do than be a jerk on the internet? I can only imagine what you must look like now and especially what you'll look like when you're seventy.
Though I never had the opportunity to see Sweet live, I did get Steve’s book personally autographed to me with my name in it. In a somewhat ironic turn of events, I got another copy of Steve’s book autographed but without my name in it. Of course I didn’t order it and I couldn’t keep something that I didn’t pay for. So I contacted the person in charge and asked about how to return the book. She gave me the return address and told me, “Steve appreciates what you’re doing.” At first I thought nothing of it because I thought, “but that’s what you’re SUPPOSED to do…you don’t just take what isn’t yours.” Sadly shortly after I learned of his death, I realized that Steve wanted to make sure that he appreciated me being honest, even if it was something I would have considered trivial like returning a book that I hadn’t paid for. To me, that said a lot about Steve Priest. He is deeply missed yet fondly remembered.
Someone was in charge ? Must have been Maureen or Maggie. When first released, Steve just gave everyone his address to send checks in the mail and he shipped them himself. He only had 1000 printed and he kept them in his studio in his garage. Glad some were still around in later years for fans to still get.
Soy de México, amo a Steve Priest y por supuesto a Sweet. Alguien me puede decir de qué murió Steve, que enfermedad tenía cuando falleció?. Nunca tuve esa información y realmente me impactó su muerte.
Yeah, that tends to happen to everyone after, oh, I dunno FORTY-FIVE YEARS or so. This was just a few years before he died. Have some respect. He was still a behemoth on the bass and, more importantly, a kind, witty and intelligent human being.
Such a shame we have lost nearly all the Magic four. Loved Sweet love that he has there logo on his chain RIP Steve you are greatly missed🎶🎸
One of the coolest ever vocalist/ bass guitarists , he was brilliant
Had some correspondence with Steve back in '96/'97. Very kind man. Bought also his book "Are you ready Steve". A must read!
Wish I could read his book but it's no longer in print. Heard it was a great book. Steve was my favorite member of the band.
@@debbiescott6732I want to get my hands on his book too. I love Steve. He was my favorite way back when.
I got Steve's book also. He was nice to sign it personal for me!! I treasure it , he was so nice. The book is very fun to read.
Do you want to sell it ?
Thank you Steve for all the amazing music and being such a nice guy!!! RIP you are a legend!
Steve is so awesome. He and Mick were a killer rhythm section. I love these old stories they tell. Miss you Steve! 😢💔
Just a BRILLIANT Band with energy and excitement. Barney Glasgow 🤩

That is a FUCKING imbecilic thing to say, age is a unfortunate thing, like to see what you look like at his age.
@@micheleangelique423I agree with you ,jerk
Sure looks different than he did. RIP Steve. 🇺🇸
He's old so what did you expect. Some people have major health problems that comes with aging, not always their fault.
@jodidavis6595.
Steve Priest always looks like that when he's not wearing make-up!
Sweet4Evr 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Got to open up for Steve Priest's Sweet in 2013 in a bar in upstate New York called Monaraies, Rip brother Steve...
Rest in peace Steve 🌹
RIP Steve, .. one of my life crushes. Great performer xo
He always seemed to have a great sense of humour with his singing cameos like, "We just haven't got a clue what to do."

The band's no more, the performances are done and only to be remembered, but heck, I refuse to get rid of the hair!
I just cant believe this is the handsome, smooth skinned guy from the 1970s..
@davidglow3.
As they say, "Beauty is skin deep."
Drugs and alcohol
It sure is… but in our minds he is timeless
Maybe you don’t Know but…people get old. Surprise!
We all age, and he looks ok considering he used to have whisky on his cornflakes.
Steve hardly aged at all.

Turn up the volume, hard to hear video
he looks soooo British !
What a state his body is in! Why did he let himself go like that?
Did the sweet do well in america ?
Yes, they had a few hit albums there and some massive success with singles, top 5 etc
Can hear the answers, not the questions
Didn't recognise him without the lipstick, lol
was not ok show him like this! What about his family..
Sadly we lost Steve on the 4th June 2020 . His weight was an issue in his latter years Ballooning to Massive 85 Stone !
He was never that huge. He wouldn't have been able to walk or play and he kept playing until just a few months before he passed.
When he decided to leave the 8 piece band wonder if they called him Judas Priest?
Dude...who's that LADY?
Wish he would have taken better care of his appearance. Just loved him!~ So cute on stage. A clown of the band.
