Hi Matt. In most countries it's a safety regulation for skydive pilots to wear a parachute. We are flying with an open door, and in the worst case there could be a premature opening of a parachute that could wrap around the stabilator. This could lead to a loss of aircraft control, and has unfortunately happened before, causing a fatal accident where all the skydivers jumped and survived, but the pilot didn't because he wasn't wearing a parachute.
there is a video on some program where small planes have parachutes that save lives, i guess skydive pilots aren't as arrogant? As for me I want a parachute when I fly commercial....yo.
This girl’s ego is what makes the video. I’ve seen many of these “days in the life as...” and some are boring. This girl’s personality is bubbly and you can tell she loves her job!
One thing I don't see in the comments how incredibly well-planned this video was: intro segment with her morning routine, along with SEVERAL multiple cameras involved with wonderful splicing / editing of various video files.
Never forget to enjoy every single day of it! 40yrs will blow by in the blink of an eye. Today, I live on my memories of being an African bush pilot. My retirement is not like the guys who spent their careers watching a computer fly their plane, but I promise you I have thousands of stories more than they do after decades in Africa, always making it up as you go. Only time i used an auto pilot was for filling out paperwork in flight, and hand flew every single instrument approach so as never to allow the rusticles to appear. Socially, life in the bush was fabulous. Tucked in a 5 star tented camp falling asleep to lions roaring nearby. Had interesting friends from all over the globe, and close relationships with the beautiful locals. You wont die rich, but you'll die with a smile.
What I really loved about this is the fact that you didn't try to overdo anything for the video, you just did your normal procedures, explained what was going on and told us about your normal day as a pilot. What made the video enjoyable was the fact that YOU enjoy what you are doing. It's like watching a musician that loves to shred vs one that play because they were forced to/in order to gain something socially. I dream of being a pilot. And I WILL achieve it. This video gave me so much more courage to keep aiming for that license to roam the skies.

I worked as a pilot for a drop zone last summer, it was a great experience and I would build 5-6 hours a day weekdays and 8-10 hours a day on weekends. It's a lot of up and down work and your ears get kind of fatigued by drop 15 or so and it takes about a week to adjust (we'd do 10,000ft drops, up to 20 times a day in a 182). However, it was so much fun! You need to be careful to find a safe drop zone and knowing a thing or two about maintenance would be beneficial, just for determining if an airplane is safe or not, because most look a lot worse than this one does. Also, find a place that doesn't try to make you do stupid stuff in the airplane. My zone limited our bank to 30 degrees and I was told not to ever try racing jumpers down, and honestly, there's no need, a 30 degree bank with about 16" map in gives you 1,500 - 1,700fpm descent without shock cooling and you pull up front just as the next set is getting ready to go. Tons of fun and a great experience, just be picky in who you work for and don't let the boss push you to do something unsafe.
@@matthewjohnson2428 WOW!! Thanks for the info! Thats not bad hours considering becoming a CFII is way harder due to knowledge retention. But that sounds fun and easy, i love flying a c172! Hi. Saw your interview today. Wish i was young again. I was a skydive pilot here in Canada. C182 & C185. You’re right. Jumpers are fun but crazy. Did a few jumps myself. Word of advice. Since these planes sit outside with partial tanks. Always always keep practiced at forced approaches as its easy to end up with condensation in your fuel because the bladders don’t always lay flat inside the tanks. You can drain fuel and have water still undetected in another low spot!! I had 2 engine failures in my 1st 500 hrs both flying jumpers. Great flying though. Glad i found your site. Happy flying 👍👍🙂

Been interested in flying but I'm too old to become a pilot so THANK YOU for publishing your videos. People like me can have this experience through your channel. This is the first video of yours I have watched and I am looking forward to the rest.
Person jumping:😲😲
Instructor:😐
Always enjoy your videos plus one of the prettiest pilots there is
"Coming in hot to the circuit."
Fantastic video! My first flying job was flying a C182 as a skydive pilot, 20 years ago. Brings back memories! Happy flying!
She's cute and beautiful, intelligent and sweet, and just has such a positive energy........yes, she's irresistible!! 😋
What a dream! And being a pilot in the islands seems cool too. ;)
I have this dream of moving to 1 of the Bay Islands of Honduras eventually but I'm terrified of puddle hoppers. Your vids give me hope though I can overcome the fear.
That's a hell of a way to live. Definitely hope to be there some day.
I’m from Honduras. Unless you move to roatan, don’t even think about it. Horribly dangerous.
So young and so dedicated. I'm just 26 but watching your vids makes me feel like I wasted alot of years not flying. Love your videos! You're getting famous very fast, I'll bet!
So glad you enjoy my videos! Thanks!
9:10 literally me in pre flight lol
My first flying job was flying skydivers ... Did it for 4 years and loved it .... Nice job :-)
Without the music:
BANK ANGLE BANK ANGLE SINK RATE WHOOOP WHOOOP PULL UP PULL UP
😂
I’ve never wanted to skydive....until I saw you flying plane. I’m booking a trip! You are awesome! Amazing pilot, wonderful personality and such a smile! Keep up the amazing videos!
so she flys planes and drive stick, thats a keeper right there.
Great job! Loved the vid! Lucky girl to have such a sweet gig! Fly safe! 😎
Meeting this girl you would never know she's a pilot lol 😂 she so bubbly and joyful most pilots have an attitude about them atleast the airline and corporate guys do the freight dogs and medical guys are cool
Only the commercial computer hawk drivers, cessna and cub pilots are salt of the earth people.
What a great day, great place, great job! Live your dream and thanks for sharing!
Watermelon before a flying. Brave. Thats brave.
I was thinking exactly the same thing!
personality is outta this world thats what made this video amazing!
"F-GYMS"
I totally agree.
Xd
Love your channel. Very fond of St Martin. Plan on keeping my Catamaran there in a few years. Thanks for sharing!
Thankyou Tom, surely a lovely place to sail!
When you get some time be interesting to know your backstory since you don't have much info here
I'll make an introduction video very soon!
Love watching Bambi ,the prettiest pilot 😀😉your a legend
Never trust a pilot that already has a parachute on.....➕🤪🤔🧐😎🥴😘
actually it's legally required if you're dropping parachutists at least in the US it is
Fly a giant airline with no chance of a life, or fly a shitbox on a beautiful island. Decisions, decisions...
as long as the shitbox is reliable, i'll take the island.
@@MrCrazkilljoy Exactly. As soon as I get FS2020 I'm island-hopping... forget about the 9h flight of boredom. They have unlimited movies on long flights for a reason.
I just found this channel as I'm procrastinating (from studying for my Linear Algebra test tomorrow for my "Professional Pilot" degree at ČVUT, Prague) and maybe how you're young (not meant in a rude way) I feel I can relate to this channel much more than other aviation channels. Also, it seems so easy going and natural. Can't wait to go through all your vids after my exam week ends!
I am a Boeing 777 pilot and I just genuinely realized my life sucks.
Very well done video! I've flown jumpers in an old 182 and a 208, flew the Alaskan bush in a 207, and flown passengers in the 206. They are all great work-horse airplanes! Keep chasing the dream, and sharing the view!
Wow Thanks for sharing! 206 soloy or piston? Must've been fun buzzing through Alaska with a 207 😁
Pilot Bambi likewise, very cool to share the view with others. The 206 was a turbo piston model owned by a small business. The Alaska 207 was a blast, but serious work. I'm working on a video similar to yours about the Alaska flying. Keep em' flying!
bro... you are one talented pilot.. mad props.
What an absolutely beautiful life. I’m studying to become a pilot now and this is my dream. St. Maartin is stunning and I can’t wait to go back. Videos like this breathe life into me and invigorate my spirit. I can’t wait...
Jealous! Looks like an enjoyable existence there, where you get to fly in a gorgeous place! Love it! Thanks for showing us!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊 Truly is paradise out there!
Great job and commentary PB. Now we know why you had such a fantastic tan in later videos. You are a heart throb esp in the yellow shorts.
