11:37 The takeover bat fills up differently between your archetype. Since your primary is defending, takeover goes up quicker with blocks, steals and good defensive plays. If you were a 3pt shooter, you only need 3 or 4 threes for takeover.

For me its actually been fun to play the MyCareer especially with learning about how you get stabbed in the back and all that and I have to admit that at first I got frustrated with the game (and it still has it moments) because you could put up a good # of shots and brick damn near all of them save for being in Practice...I just learned how to adapt to different things in the game and now ,even with a 65 OVR I'm starting to get back to where I was in China and the G League THAT is definitely something I appreciated in having announcers that were for each league do play by play and the rotation of certain guests at the broadcast booth (That might have been a thing in 2K18 and I just didn't notice) but this is definitely a game I am having a lot of fun with and I rarely buy sports games anymore. I mainly bought this because it was $3 on the PSN store but its the best $3 I spent since I bought The Guardian Legend for $2 on the NES at a FuncoLand (or when I bought Saint's Row IV for 20 cents once...yes I actually did that!)
I am glad nba live 2005 pc can still be played online. that game is better than these newer 2k games lol. madden 08 pc can still be played online. Best thing of all you can pirate these games. Graphics maybe outdated and other things, but where else can you play a decent licensed nba and nfl game online nowadays?
The A.I. is still trash in Mycareer. I can't even play on HOF. I was tired of watching Klay Thompson and Steph Curry brick open 3s and make dumbass passes when I set them up perfectly while my opponent hits every single shot covered or open. If I get beat on defense, nobody rotates to help. And when they do rotate, they don't jump! The cpu just makes my teammates dumb while standing in the lane and they just watch as the other team's PG throws up a floater that swishes every time. When I call for screens and I set up the pick and roll perfectly, my big man ends up doing a touch pass at the rim passing up on an easy layup/dunk trying to get an assist from somebody smothered in the corner.. When I call for the ball when Im wide open for an easy score, my teammates refuse to pass me the ball. especially on a break. I could be jamming A (or X for the PS4 guys) wide open for a quick pull up and Steph will not pass it until my defender has recovered back to me. And then sometimes I don't call for the ball but when I move to a new spot on the floor, a teammates just fire the ball at me and that ends up being an instant turnover. The CPU cheats man. There are so many plays that call for me (the PG) to set screens but I can't! Why? because my teammates run so far and wide away from every screen, their defenders never make contact with me. and I can't adjust myself because if I do that's an illegal screen every time. I noticed how whenever you're on offense and the CPU leaves a huge hole in their defense, they spam the reach in button and take a foul to reset their defense which is fine.. But when I play the hell out of the game and I am soundly beating the hell out of the CPU on superstar up by 20, why do my teammates reach in so damn much?!?!? They always foul every other possession so 20 point leads only last for like 3 minutes of actual game time. Im not the best 2k player by no means. I make mistakes and fuck up just like everybody else. but 60% of my turnovers aren't my fault. There have been so many moments when I run a fast break and I see a good shooter seeming to run to their spot at the 3 with their defender far ahead with no real chance of recovering if my teammate pulls upper 3. But when I pass them the ball, the second the ball leaves my hands, my shooters abandon any catch and shoot tendencies and dive hard for the rim which is horrible because it turns my outlet pass into a lead pass and their defender recovers in a flash and snatches the ball out the air for a turnover every time. Its not my fault that I pass it when their open and they do something to make themselves not open any more.. Does any of this happen to anybody else?
Vincent Gaming the Pels need to be smart about this and get as many young players and picks as they can. Rebuilds are ugly, but they need to look at the Sixers, Nuggets, Bucks, etc. for how to build through the draft one piece at a time
And really they have an advantage over teams such as the Sixers in that they have an asset in AD worth more than nearly every other player in the league. Just hope they do it right
@@vincentgaming1619 AD to Celtics for Brown, Tatum, Rozier, and any combination of two of their first-round picks this year and next (they have 7 first-round picks the next two years, so maybe we can throw in another player or two to get a third pick)
I know it's a lot, but AD is a franchise-changing player that if paired with Kyrie, Smart, Horford, Smart, Heyward, etc. will effectively place them in the finals the next couple years. Also, waiting until the off-season to get Boston involved will likely start a bidding war with LA

I didn't give a score because I didn't play them at release, but to me, 2K is a 5/10, Live is a 3/10

Surprisingly you didn't touch on the fact that defense is overpowered, while cherry picking is common for the cpu.
