This is the Way Vipers SHOULD Have Came! Calvo Motorsports has repeatedly taken the already venomous viper and turned it into and even more fearsome animal! Taking this brand new ACR Extreme Viper with the factory package aero kit, Calvo Motorsports was able to unleash unimaginable potential while still keeping the car in the realm of driveability! This NASTY Gen V Dodge Viper was tearing up the airfield of Caddo Mills Municipal Airport during Texas Invitationals Fall 2017 event! Throwing down an INCREDIBLE 1750HP through a sleeved stock block on the factory 19” Wheels! Its insane to know you can drive this subtle serpent 0-200MPH in less than a 1/2 Mile just as easily as you could drive it home after!

Vipers have to be the only car to have no haters. They are Gorgeous, sound amazing and are far from common. I'd love one.
It's hard to hate it, since it's so self aware of what it is. They are a big laugh from the very first model. Silly to the very last bone, made just to be fun. I don't love Vipers, but they are likeable because they have a rather distinct personality.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's and he ordered three T66 turbos with NOS... and a Motec exhaust system

Pretty sure that big ass wing kept the rear wheels from spinning at a 100mph. At first I was like why in the hell did he put 1750hp to a ACR then I said oh yeah downforce to keep the rears planted.

The motor only revs to like 7000rpm, so it won’t be extremely lively.

erick isles bc first off they couldve saved a ton more money to make the same exact car by using a basic gts model and second is that those cars are limited and bred for the track, not to be turned into a drag car

They should fit titanium strips on the rear diffuser so it doesn't wear away the fins. It will though throw sparks like an F1 car as a result. :)

This is my dream car, I'm 53 and I remember when the first viper came out, been in love with the car since day one, dont kn if I'll ever be ever to own one but I'm looking, I was just wondering is their any body in the viper world that would take me for a ride, I've never been in one, but it has always been my dream car.

I get that he needs downforce for 1700 horsepower, but if he is dragging the diffuser by the end of the run i think he should pull back a little on the aoa. At that point the drag made by the spoiler is probably counteracting the gains made by extra downforce at the start. Anyone agree/disagree?
If he was only planning to do this kind of event he could tweak the car to do a lot better. One of the GTR's had a clever aero solution where the angle of the wing is sprung, so as it gets faster the angle reduces. Best of both worlds then, you get the extra traction in the gears where you need it, and less drag at the top end.
I saw that to. But you wouldnt think its that hard to spin a couple nuts and bring it down on the adjuster

yes, that one was nice.. at high speed the wing will flat.. reduce a lot of downforce
Reducing the angle of attack also reduces downforce at low speed. As for adjustability, it only has five settings, not "a couple nuts" with unlimited adjustment. The "fix" was to increase tension on the springs, and increase the compression damping.
That is a freaking fast Dodge Viper. 1750 hp and enough downforce to drive upside down.
"V8 EATER" is kinda a lame tag when you have a V10.

That's one hell of an ACR. Amazing looking and extra ripped. Just needs the wing tuned down a bit and rear stiffened slightly but increase down-force in front a little as well.

youhan younen a lot of these people work with big teams and sponsors. Plus I’ve noticed the cost of living usually is a lot lower in the areas I see these builds like Texas or Florida compared to Nyc or San Francisco’s Bay Area. Just my thought

Why does the viper engine always sound lazy? No matter how much power they put thru them they never liven up.
Its because Vipers usually don't rev high. Around 6k rpm is 'screaming' for your typical Viper engine.

Sonos45 v10's are just sequential firing 5 cylinders mashed together, sequential 5's sound like tractors without a proper muffler setup (lambos sound good due to the insane multi chamber muffler design) where as vipers don't have room for it. Awesome cars that sound like doo doo.
I know they are awesome just I've heard industrial generators that sound more enthusiastic .

Well not licensing so much as Mt doesn't have a sales tax. People buy big ticket items like supercars and motor homes here all the time by setting up an LLC with a Mt address and then registering it here.

.. as compared to 15" drag radials like most rwd cars making close to or over 1000whp run. Doing these times on a 19" small sidewall street tyre is more than impressive...
Big height is a good band aid for slightly too short rear gear, sidewall and flex are what give it the most traction. Most of the time its only slightly taller than a 19 or 20" wheel if any.

You are greatly mistaken... This is 1500' of acceleration, not a top speed run. The car is gear-limited to 230, and has been 210 in the 1/2 mile. Without the aero, the car would've gone slower. We had an identical car, but a GTS with the advanced aero package, and it went slower all day.
Ninjaneering Did you guys build this thing? That Viper is a monster. Personally, if I were to have a Viper, I’d keep it NA and try to get it up to like 800hp.
