i highly doubt that nintendo is prioritizing splatoon over ac, since acnh sold four times more units that splatoon 3. also even though both games are under epd5, allegedly they don't share much of the same staff if you look at the game credits, so im pretty sure we will get new ac within the next two years
Actually in Japan Splatoon 3 sold more then Animal Crosing from a 2023 site actually…Splatoon was at number 9 spot while Animal Crossing was at number 16 spot…So the reverse is true in Japan…and this point is specifically about Japan which Japanese video game companies care about Japanese players more.. and everyone agrees that is sad[[Japanese only paying attention and catering to Japanese people I mean..]]..
@@DumuziTheOriginalGod ok sure but the rest of the world matters too and 45 million copies, as well as being the number 2 best selling game on switch of ALL TIME is nothing to sneeze at in the grand scheme of things. nintendo isnt dumb, they keep track of these things very carefully. thats why the japanese nintendo directs are different and has different games than the one shown everywhere else in the world.
If they aren't releasing a new animal crossing until year 2 I'd love for them to just make some updates to New horizons - new holiday crafting items, me events maybe, and some QOL improvements
Sadly they already said no more updates ever again for ACNH
They don’t care about AC anymore and I wish I knew why. I don’t know anyone that likes splatoon. I’ll just keep playing ACNH and hope they come out with a new AC game .
@@stephanieshiraki8690 Japan is oddly reverse as I looked up and Animal Crossing was at number 16 spot while Splatoon is at number 9! I play Splatoon a lot myself and am a brush main so there are fans of both series! Japanese companies care about Japanese players more, so who knows? Not counting ports or e+ they haven’t really truly remade an Animal Crossing game like they do with the other games they remake… and e+ was back in the days of the Gamecube…
@@stephanieshiraki8690 Blame Pocket Camp not Splatoon and look at the mass amount of furniture, clothes, wallpaper, floorings, etc that Pocket Camp greedily demands hundreds of leaf tickets for and you’ll see the problem is Pocket Camp! Pocket Camp only left the bread crust for New Horizons! I play both Animal Crossing and Splatoon btw! I remember Pocket Camp was made so people had something to play till New Horizons came out and look what that mobile cash grab did! It took almost all the attention from New Horizons - a mainline game - due to people spending countless money on it!
No clue what splatoon is nor do I care. Nintendo could have have gone so far with New Horizons with more and more content instead of dropping it like they did. I LOVE Animal Crossing games, but I haven't played my ACNH in over a year because there is absolutely nothing more to do. :( It would be amazing if they did bring another Animal Crossing game out, but I'm not holding my breath. They could have made bank hugely with this game but they flubbed it up by dropping it. And if they are creating another Nintendo Console, it's going to be expensive and out of reach for those that are low income. They don't NEED another console for crying out loud. They just need to keep on upgrading and updating their existing games with more content.
Not to mention, these days, no one has the extra money to splurge on anything. We're too broke trying to keep up with bills or buying essentials. It's not gonna go they way they think it will.

I completely agree, them dumping new horizons content for splatoon made me hate the splatoon series. I would never buy or play a splatoon game after that. They left new horizons feeling unfinished and just said oh well on to the next console. I love animal crossing but how they treated it makes me weary about the next game.
Blame Pocket Camp as it stole all the attention that New Horizons deserved! Look at how much is in Pocket Camp with all the clothing, furniture, wallpaper, floorings, etc, and it really shows a money greedy mobile spin off cash grab game like Pocket Camp stole almost all the attention from the mainline game! And as a Splatoon and Animal Crossing fan though I think you Animal Crossing fans need to stop acting toxic about Splatoon just because you don’t play it… :/ You should be hating on Animal Crossing Pocket Camp aka Pocket Greed not Splatoon! Also another Animal Crossing RUclipsr called Crossing Channel has another channel that’s Splatoon related!
If they are going to do a remake, I would love it to be a remake of either Population Growing or City Folk.
They haven’t remade an Animal Crossing since I think e+? But that was back during the GameCube days..

I hope a remake of an older Animal Crossing game is announced in the direct.
I think that might happen because I saw a list of things coming out for the Switch before moving to the new console.
@@tiffanykahn2535 I saw it too. Its New Leaf that's most likely to get a remake on the switch as "Animal Crossing: New Leaf HD."
Maybe Splatoon is getting a spin-off?
Direct also I think there will be a remake because Animal crossing is doing so well and I just think because of its sure we will get a remake so that’s what I think!!!
The only way Im getting a new switch is if a new animal crosssing comes out and its the only way I can play it. Releasing a new animal crossing on a new console would be the smartest move from them. Not focusing on AC and other games seems crazy considering how large the fan base is and how wide the audience is. I have so may adult friends who play and play with their kids.

that would be fun though how would our town work then? i do hope we'd atleast have towns still and we can take trains or busses to other places depending what is necessary to connect to online
We would still have a town or village where we live, but we could visit other places like a forest and mountains and other cities
that would work and i do hope said cities and mountains are online so we can stumble upon other people and they could stumble upon us so if by chance we play at the same time we could stumble upon eachother

I feel like they must have something worth talking about otherwise they wouldn't be having a direct, right?
I think if they dont release a new animal crossing close to when the new switch comes out they arent going to sell as many systems since a lot of people play on multiple platforms. I for one cant see myself upgrading until theres new content and that makes me more likely to get the steamdeck
In Japan Splatoon 3 sold more than Animal Crosing according to a 2023 site actually! Splatoon was at number 9 spot while Animal Crossing was at number 16 spot! The point is in Japan the reverse is true! So that might be something to consider when thinking about either franchises future! So if in Japan Splatoon is more popular and Japanese companies usually prioritise Japanese people then it does make sense that Splatoon would be getting more attention if that is to be considered? 🤔
Though if any game took attention from Animal Crossing it’s the cash grab spin off that is Pocket Camp which has hundreds of more items, furniture, clothing, wallpaper, flooring, etc, all costing hundreds of leaf tickets when the greedy game barely gives the player any free leaf tickets or reissue things which shows how greedy the game really is! Just look up how much is in it and compare it to New Horizons and it shows that Pocket Camp took almost all the attention away from New Horizons! 😡
Also only time they remade an Animal Crossing it was Japan exclusive with e+ I think? Also I play both Animal Crossing and Splatoon in case anyone is wondering…
If only we could get an enhanced port of the first game or something while we wait. Animal crossing should be treated the same way as Mario and Zelda now.
All the people who became Nintendo customers for the first time are going to lose interest by the time they decide to do something with the franchise again...
i NEED more animal crossing. i am at the point with new horizons where i can't play it anymore. i got the same way with new leaf until the update, then i could play it again but eventually got there again
Of course Nintendo is doing something related to Splatoon but, the 3rd opus will be 2 years old in September so I really really doubt that they release Splatoon 4 with the next Super Nintendo Switch 2 if we were in 2027 I would say yes but we are still in 2024 yet or I'm lost in a wrong timeline ^^
I don’t think Nintendo would make another console that soon after the next one is close right now probably around the corner? O.o If it gets called Super Nintendo Switch that would be cool though?
Anyone else miss E3 as much at I do ? For over 15 years I looked forward to June for E3 for Pokemon, Kirby, and Animal Crossing as well and some odd ball games here and there too. I wish E3 would return for 2025 at the very least they should do an E3 every other year you know what I mean I hope.

I myself am not that big into Splatoon, so it is a bit of a shame for me to hear that they seem to be focusing on that game instead of Animal Crossing. But at least I have other game series to be more excited about for the early years of the new console's life like Mario.
