    You always come up with these brands I've never heard of. I really appreciate your channel for that reason! For me, that 50 grams makes a huge difference! Unfortunately I've lost a lot of muscle mass from 2 years of dialysis, and a kidney transplant. I really can't handle wearing anything all day that weighs over 130 grams. I'd definitely have to go for the titanium in this case. Great review, Pete!

      Thanks! That's a good point you make, for some that 50g is everything!

    I bought their very first dive watch. I love it and I still have it. I don't dive but I wear it when I go sailing.

    I have a D-1 300 with a ceramic bezel I have worn the crap and most of the lume out of the bezel and the only problem I have had the gasket on the back and the lume on the bezel . Both of these issues are probably my fault, I know the lume is my fault as I NEVER take a watch off unless I have to get my hand in a real tight spot and it prevents me from doing so. I have even broke a few spring bars getting my hand out of a place that was tighter after putting the nut or bolt on . I have had my arm in many of fuel tanks that’s the only (DIVING) I have done in the past 27 years. Luckily I noticed the case back gasket when I replaced the battery. I must have been in a hurry last battery swap and didn’t put any vasaleene on the gasket and it stuck and twisted it when removed. Anyway great watch that will take a whole lot of abuse. This is a real Tool watch.

    Nice review.
    I have a few of Scurfas, including the green D-500 Diver 1. The No-date models have the Ronda 713, it’s the same but with no-date. While not a big deal, it’s always nice when no date watches have a true no-date movement.
    I think you would like the Scurfa Treasure Seeker Automatic. They really did an excellent job with that one.

      Oh good point on the movement, I dropped the ball on that one! I'd love to check out one of those treasure seekers one of these days!

    You make a really good point about the relative "lightness" of titanium divers vs. titanium field watches. Over the last two weeks I received a Zelos Swordfish 40 Ti and a Helm Vanuatu Ti (my Helm # finally got called after 6 months!), and while they're definitely lighter (duh) and very comfortable, they are not *substantially* lighter than a steel diver. Whereas my SWC Bunker Ti field watch feels like air on my wrist, and I forget that I'm wearing it. I'll see if that changes when I put the SWC Ti bracelet on it (delivery is sometime this month..). Great review! I need a Scurfa!

  • @boston961

    great review as always , do you think the titanium could work on a 6.75 inch wrist . I really like the look but worry it will wear to large .

    • @ChillinwitWatches
      @ChillinwitWatches  2 года назад +1

      If say it wears large for a 40, it's chunky. If you can pull off a 41mm diver I think you'll be perfectly fine.

    Look `nice`... but very conservative and the branding makes them look like department store watches to me.
