Recently Wise approached me with an idea. They know that the Signum Cuda Ti Fully Lumed is considered to be one of, if not the best watches for lume, and they wanted to know if I still had one. If so, would I be willing to test it out against their new watch the Hitman Hit66. I replied, I do, and that's a great idea.

The Hitman is so bright at night that I can see it glow even when I put it under the blanket.
Great head to head comparison, I haven't gotten a chance to see the see the Cuda in person so I was wondering how the Wise would fair. I couldn't believe how bright the Hitman was when I got it in. I love how Wise doesn't really seem to make a big deal about their lume, but all three of their watches I've tested have obliterated the competition, and one of the watches they sent was a dress watch.
If you watch their Thai R&D livestream. They proudly brag about their lume all the time. 😂😂😂
@@BobbyL2k Oh man, that makes me which I spoke Thai so I could watch it!
As a Thai citizen 🇹🇭 and a massive fan of Wise. Thank you so much for sharing your results.
Thanks Shane, that is incredible, unbelievable lume! And the battle of the two watches was a perfect idea. Bravo to Wise for suggesting the battle. I guess they were pretty confident of the result.
After seeing Dave's review i out this blue one in the shopping cart and then hesitated. Only one priblem with a full lume dial this bright, it is so bright you may not be able to sleep!
Thank you so much Shane for this episode. I was waiting for that lume battle before choosing which watch I should buy. Keep up the good work. It is always a pleasure to see your reviews.
The lume on the Wise is amazing. This must be the king of lume of the world. All night lume is now a must-have feature for me to buy one more watch.
Thank you. I caught Dave's review, a comment about your lume-off, and now this video. Heading to the Wise website to buy one now.
Thank you Shane, i always enjoy these reviews. The Wise Hitman lume is incredible. My blue dial Helm Khuraburi with white indicies is another great lume monster. Dial and bezel glows like a torch throughout the night.
Thank you for this battle 🎉
The kings are dead, long live the king! Fantastic vid, I've been curious if the Wise would take down the best of the best after seeing it shine in previous reviews, thanks for answering the burning question
Awesome review Shane - just joined as new subscriber your content is awesome. Keep up the great work - love the lume on these watches
I love full lume watches and this hitman truly is a lume assassin! Great video Shane
The one you have there in the blue is on my list. That lume is crazy.
Nice production as always Shane.
Thanks!
After watching this I may have to pick up this Wise Hitman for my collection! I love some great lume and this one does not disappoint!
Hi Shane, would love a full lume dial only episode. With something like the farr & swift wayfinder in the mix too.
Great vid, cheers 🍻
That's a great idea.
Nice! Thank you, Shane! Want to get one now. But I’m waiting still for a comparison with the wicked watch co and see who has better lume
I'd be curious to see that too. I tried getting one in for review last year, but didn't happen. Long story...
I have the AD8 Wise and even on casual daily office wear, this thing is like a mini spot light on my wrist if I ever get the sunshine to hit for a fraction of a second. There's the longevity of it but also the intensity, it's impressive.
WISE is one incredible brand, their watches are magnificent. I have a regular Hitman, but it has a great BGW9 it looks beautiful and lasts very long. I am waiting for WISE GMT, I would buy it instantly.
These are both fun pieces... But I wish full lume dial makers would take a cue from Damasko and Laco, etc., and use all-black hands on their watches. It significantly improves contrast both day and night. Win-Win.
I have the Wise DIVING DSX521 with the red dial. It has bgw9 lume markers which are really bright and last a long time. I am seeing a theme in their watches ;)
Next lume battle: Wise lume dial vs. Timex Weekender.
I dunno... My finger might get tired of holding the button down. 😂
Have Orient Star Diver & Signum Cuda Full Lume. Wise seems impressive. Thank you for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Great Video
Pretty amazing watch. The overall quality of Wise watches is really good also. I dont really need fabulous lume on a watch however if you really look at the quality of the hands and dials and the cases they are just well made quality watches.
Excellent video! there's another full lume watch called Aequorea UO01 from ODV watches that is also full lume, it would be interesting to test it against these gorgeous full lime kings. Thanks
I haven't seen that one before.... thats a crazy looking design.
I suggest a battle with the hexmariner 42mm white dial.
Last day I popped into the theatre for a 2.5 hour movie and it was still going strong towards the end of the movie.
I have a Hitman, and two Adamascus Watches which have awesome lume. Only watch in my collection that compares is a VAER C5 Tactical.
Does the non fully lumed hitman hit this hard as well? Not a fan of fully lumed dials
All hail the Emperor of Lume. For me I’ve always felt Lume should be good, but it doesn’t have to be phenomenal. Once everyone got cell phones, it certainly became less important I think. Thanks for the great comparison!
I would be interested how you compare this Wise Hitman to the Wicked Watch PEARL DIVER with the 3D casted lume indices? Is it worth making a video about this?
Or does anyone have a comparison for these. Any experience?
That's a long story... Short version is that yes, I think it is. I've heard good things. When the Signum Cuda first came out I reached out to Wise to see if I could borrow one. They had no interest and wouldn't send one. So I never got a chance to.
Some point I'll probably buy one or borrow one from a viewer to test, but haven't yet.
The Wise Hitman is a lume monster . Two problems though .
1. It has Hitman on the dial. As a man in late middle age or early old age I am not wearing a watch that says Hitman on the dial. It's ridiculous . Nice watch mate . Yes it's my new Hitman . LOL
2. When it is not glowing does it look good.
I have a problem with lumed dials. I have gotten a little farsighted lately. Also, besides having blurry vision up close, contrast seems to be lost on me a little. If the dial fades quickly, whatever. But if it's going to fade at the same rate as the hands, it's useless. For a dial this bright, they should have gone with negative hands or a different shade of lume with bold borders on the hands.
For a reference, I have an RZE full lumed dial and I can't read it once it fades at all. Skinny hands also hurt legibility. It's my vacation and rugged activity watch. I had to keep blasting it with my phone's light to trigger the lume and read it on the plane. Sad!
I might be in the same boat these days. Recently went to get a new Rx for my glasses and gave me one for progressives.
But yeah, that is an issue with fully lined dials compared to others. Blacked out hands like Laci does, or change the lume color is the best course of action.
Although I think the hitman was a little bit easier to make out than others. The slightly broader border on the hands helped a little. But a different color would be better.
I have the green cuda and it's insane...but this...this is .... Crazy insane 😅
I am certainly a sucker for a full lume dial. I have lost track of how many on but none of this quality of Glow
I bought this Hitman watch 5 days ago and I've been watching reviews of it nonstop because I can't stop looking at how beautiful it is. Still gotta wait like 2 and a half more weeks until I have it though so that's the worst :/
just noticed the new Adamascus Full Lume uses old Radium...wonder if that is as good as the BGW9? What do you think?
Old radium is usually pretty weak. Which is why I started referring to it as fade-ium.
Thanks!@@RelativeTime
I am speechless 😲
Wise has a new adamascus with a full lume dial coming out in a limited edition. Its up for order now.
Yes - I saw that...looks like the dial is "Old Radium'" I wonder if that dial has better or worse lume than the Hitman??
@@allenb4823 I dont know I was wondering the same. I'm torn between the models leaning towards the adamascus if the lume is as good.
I have one hitman and two adamascus watches....I'd pay the extra or the Adamascus, but hear Old Radium isn't as good as C3 or BGW9..I prefer C3@@mattwuttke
Crazy! Still think that Ikigai looks the coolest.
Wow!
Great video and I just watched several others that you recently posted… I haven’t been getting any notifications for your channel and it hasn’t shown up in my feed/subscriptions… Have you been shadow banned? The only reason I saw this in the other recent videos is because I was just thinking that I hadn’t seen your channel in a while… The others including relative time/just one more watch, etc. I’ve been showing up just not yours
Honestly I have no idea. Sometimes my videos do well (mostly name brand), but all micros haven't.
So I'm not sure if people have just lost interest, or the algorithm just hates me.
Next Battle : Wise “ Hit Man " VS Zelos “ Ember Orange "
Look at Signum Siege Fully Lume watch that Jody reviewed its case thickness -is10.5mm INCLUDING high dome Sapphire Crystal, 8mm excluding it! To accomplish that, it has the Miyota 9015 Automatic - high beat 28800bph Movement ! It is a beautiful watch - It has a Sandblasted Stainless Steel with hardness and scratch resistant coating and Fully Lumed BGW9 SuperLuminova Orange color chapter ring and white fiully lummed dial! You have to review that watch it's amazing.
Review should be coming out this week. Although I have the blue copper turquoise, not fully lumed one.
Dial is absolutely amazing, but it is kind of a strange watch with a juxtaposition of style. Between the tool watch casein very vibrant dial
@@RelativeTime I love the copper turquoise ... I may even purchase one if I like your review (wink, wink) ... but I know you will "make" me buy one since your reviews are fantastic.
The Signum looks better during the day though, the dial appears more white.
Did I miss where you told how long to expect the "lume" to last?
Nope, there isn't much point to putting a specific number to it. Everyone's eyes are different. So usefulness will be different for everyone. Main thing is that these are best I've seen.
That said, I can tell you I've charged both of these up before bed and I can still easily read them 6-7hrs later. But, that doesn't mean everyone can, or you will be able to if you don't flash them with a uv torch beforehand.
You know that the Lume is crazy bright when you see a shadow of the handset burned into the dial.
If you grow another head… this will definitively point at what Wise are doing… in the mean time that is awesome lume.
does anyone know if this watches are ISO compliant for diving?
Neither of them are. As far as I know, helm is the only micro that goes through the ISO process. These days Seiko and Citizen are your best bet for a watch with that. Even Orient has stopped doing it on the few watches they had with it.
And that's not to say these watches aren't as capable or built to a lesser quality. I think more of it competition is stiff, and the added cost of testing is why they aren't doing it.
@@RelativeTime its a pity because i was thinking in buying the AD80A for use it as a dress watch . all my other watches are divers.
Dryden heart field fully lume give it a shot when its back in stock i grabbed the last one as time of this comment
the lord of lume
Wise is bringing their A game
I have both of these now, and I have to say, Wise is superior in every way to the Signum. What an absolute bargain.
Wise are about to release a GMT. Not full lume, but "basic" will do 🙂 I get blinded by bright lights, might not cope with this
I've seen some pictures, looks great.
Watch so bright I gotta wear shades 😎
😎
I own three Wise watches and love the lume! The Adamascus watches are also very thin and light. This Full Lume Hitman has a FATAL FLAW for me. My white dial Hitman has black trimmed hour and minute hands which provide good contrast against the dial. For some reason on this full lume dial, they chose to use silver hands as shown on their website which makes it very hard to read. Your watch looks like it has black hands, so take my comments with a grain of salt. My Wise Adamascus AD 880 has a pale blue dial and I ended up switching out the silver hands since they were hard to read. I have asked Wise to change hands with no success......AARGH!
For a fair evaluation it's needed to see how long you charge each watch with the flashlight, otherwise you could be lighting up one longer than the other.
I over-saturate each watch with a UV flashlight before starting the timelapse. Unlike a lot of channels, I pretty much test Lume the same way with every single watch. Watch any review and you'll see a lume section where I'm comparing it to a couple of standards. So I've got it down at this point.
Now I know what you are saying, but I don't show that part for two reasons. One, it's a time-lapse not a video, so with this process, there is no way to show that. I'd have to have a whole second camera setup recording me recording that.
Although more importantly even if I could I wouldn't. As most people don't want to see that. The vast majority of people would just skip over that 30 seconds, which in turn tells the RUclips algorithm the video isn't as good, which means it will tell fewer people that it even exists. At this point it won't even tell my subs a new video is out unless it thinks they will like it. This means less people will watch it anyway.
Again, I know what your saying.. in order for everything to be fully above board, but it's like everything with reviews. Ultimately you either trust what I'm saying or don't. Overall I like to think my channel as a whole speaks for itself. And on the off chance you still don't, feel free to ask me questions. I try to be as transparent as I can. Or at least within reason.
This is a great comment I agree as a viewer i would have skipped to the good stuff instead of watching the process with the flashlight. Thanks for the videos. @@RelativeTime
👍🎯👍🎯👍🎯👍🎯👍🎯👍
Is it a Lume-O-Ween 2023 official winner?
Maybe... (Probably...). Have to wait and see.
you need to show a Helm into the mix..
It's been a while but I've looked at 2. The komodo and the miyako. There great but not quite king of lume level.
Khuraburi with white indices has the best Helm lume
On JOMW channel, JOdy put the Helm up against the Signum or another watch, can't remember. Not even a contest. Signum blew it away.
@GeeMood Jody put the Helm Vanuatu in the lume war battle. The Helm Khuraburi has better lume
@@claycox5285 Right, yeah that would be a battle then if the Khuraburi has better lume.
You could read by that thing, what on earth?!
You probably could for a bit.
I have old seiko automatic 5....is best lume this watch...India...RAJASTHAN...
Can there be too much luminescence? I can now definitely say.....maybe.
It's pretty bright, you might not want this one on your nightstand while trying to sleep. At least at first.
@@RelativeTimePut it on the nightstand upside down!
Not a fan of lumed dials. Wouldn't wear one in a movie theater again for sure. I wonder if it would attract insects in the woods at night. That would be disturbing
As a proud Lume Monster, Luminatic, Lume Pig, whatever term used, I've been keen on getting the Signum Cuda, but titanium is not really my thing. I prefer stainless steel. Now with the Wise Hitman66, I definitely need to cop one. The only full lume dial watch I have is the Zelos Blacktip frost and while Zelos is known for good lume, I doubt it will hold a candle to the Hitman66. Great lume off Shane!
Wow! I didn’t think anyone would ever knock off the Sigma! Fun options for Lume Whores like me! 😂
It looked like you didn't charge them evenly. Just saying.
Its just that the wises dial is that much brighter. Although hands matter more. Now I only showed one test, but I did it twice. Same thing. Plus it beat out my other three watches that were on equally footing as the signum.
So I have no doubts against the blue signum. Although the green Signum is supposed to be a little bit better, but don't know how much.
If you go out at night with this fully charged, all the eyes will be on you.
I should go to the movies wearing it, and see if anyone complains.
@@RelativeTime :))) I was thinking the same.
For 500 they should be putting a better engine in
It’s $330 plus I think there’s an additional discount…
When my brain decides to (for whatever reason) wake me up at around 4 in the morning every day, i can still see the lume on my Casio Duro, and read the time. So, that is adequate lume. Anything more is cool but useless - at least for me.
In some ways this might be too much lume... At least at first. Probably too bright to fall asleep too.
Casio Duro watches are known for bad lume. I just ordered some new hands for one of mine..
@@allenb4823 Yes, they are known for "bad" lume, but my point was that "bad" lume on a Casio Duro is still adequate for reading time when waking up in the middle of the night.
What? insane 2 hour lume........
2 hrs for the camera. Your eyes (especially as they adjust to the dark) will be more sensitive than the camera is with those particular settings.
The important thing is that I'm testing it against watches that are known quantities. At least for the channel. Ones I've continuously been testing over the years. So absolute time doesn't really matter as much as how it compares to those standards.
The reason I do it that way. Is because I could use different cameras, or different camera settings over time and it wouldn't matter. As All the watches are tested under the same conditions each time. So it's relative to those standards each time, and as you can see it blows those out of the water.
Until I got my Hitman 66, my Zelos Blacktip Frost was the lume king in my collection... Fun fact: I can actually read in bed with this for about 10 minutes..
It's almost unreal how bright this thing can get.
Great lume but mediocre mechanisms in both of these watches
I think it's their entry-level watch, so yeah. At least they went with a dateless NH38 instead of doing the ghost date thing.
It's in-S(h)ane! Wise Hit(-man...!) 😋
😎
