- Hey Guys,
Thought I'd give you a look inside the box before we start the build!
We will be going through the box art, looking at all the sprues, and taking a look at the (three part) instruction manual as well. Enjoy!

I always thought for some reason Airfix models were junk until I just bought a P-51 Mustang kit....boy was I wrong, they are great i put them up there with Tamiya.
Yeah Airfix really did a good job with its mustang kits. Its tanks kits are not as good.
Cool.. it puts a Tiger in my tank! 👍
I love the music 👍
I don't know about in the USA, but here in the UK Airfix are not even marketing this as including an interior. Not even in the catalogue. But it does come with an interior. Bizarre. At £30 it's a real bargain. I expect it's not as good as the latest kits but at half the price I don't mind having a go at it and won't be too frightened of messing it up.
Yeah, has some problems, but for that price, it’s not bad!
i know it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to watch new movies online?
@Kaden Marco i use Flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Colin Aden Yea, I've been using Flixzone for years myself :)
@Colin Aden thanks, I went there and it seems to work =) Appreciate it !
Looks exactly like my Academy kit
It is the academy kit!
yes, i'm pretty sure it, along with the other airfix 1/35 range, is academy
The vehicle model department of Airfix could do well to use the same instruction manual templates from the Aircraft department
no kidding!
It´s the academy kit rebox. You may want to catch the Tamiya(easy and fun) or Dragon(accurate and expensive) kit instead. Id recommend fruilmodel tracks.
Thanks, I already suffered through this one. It was a mistake
@@ScaleStudioModeling Yikes! Don't say that! I'm just starting.
@@roberth5767 sorry Robert, I’d recommend getting the tracks, I really actually have been happy with plastic workable tracks, so trying those may be a better alternative. The tank needs a little love, but if you’re careful, you’ll make a decent model
@@ScaleStudioModeling Decent is a reasonable goal for me!
More details than Tamiya's 1:35 Tigers. Difficult to get Airfix models in Hong Kong now, unlike decades n decades ago.
The bags are ammo pouches for the MG34’s
Gotcha, thanks. Surprised that they put them I. The very back of the tank the
Scale Studio they had some by the bow mg some in the turret and I guess midway point for whoever firing the most?
This kit looks like a rebox of academy’s Tiger 1, one of the first kit I built. I’ll have to watch the rest of your videos to see if they have corrected: the transmission being to wide to fit into the interior, the shells being stacked 3 across instead on 4 & the post war addition driver control panel installed into the bovingtion Tiger 1
Yeah scalmates confirms it just a reboxing from academy:

It’s a shame really but at least they catching up with the times, using a common scale for once . They should scrap their 1/76 range and release AFV’s in 1/72, 1/48 & 1/35 scales, see which scale sells the best and stick with that instead of keeping with their own esoteric scales that no one else uses and so limiting there customer base.
I guess so!
Tip for the tracks, get yourself some metal tracks to save yourself the pain! Lol
I would.... but I really don’t have the budget to drop $50 on tracks. The plastic ones actually went together pretty easy
@@ScaleStudioModeling that's a fair point when the kit is cheaper than the tracks.
Yup 😁
@@ScaleStudioModeling been watching the other videos, that's me subscribed, I like what you've done!
I just started this build, but it is an old Academy version - I'm guessing at least 10 years old - and the instructions are very poor compared to what you show in the video. Do you have any idea how I can get a copy like you have? A quick Google search came up empty.
I would send them to you, but this project is probably 5 months old now, and I threw the instructions away. You could use the RUclips video, and just pause it when you need to, sorry man.
@@ScaleStudioModeling No problem. Thanks for the effort and the rapid reply. Maybe I'll try Airfix.com or even Academy.com.
I bought this kit and it has no interior parts! Bizarre.
That’s super weird
I bought a JU87R-2 Stuka Kit 1/48 from Air Fix and decals sheet came without the swastika :(
@@metalmadnessSL yeah that’s standard now, depending on which market it was made in or for. In Asia they don’t care. You can buy decal’s separately try different sites and eBay.
