I love the power of using sticks instead of pre-powdered bottles, so rewarding!!!! It must be here down under that, especially in Regional Country Outback AUS, for centuries, have faced their fair share of absolutely blistering heat, wind, rain, hail tends to ‘age of the tin sheet’ which then matches the ‘nails in their holes’. I other words, the roof of ‘corrugated iron’ would’ve been missing at least a 3rd or maybe 1/2 of its nails at this stage. The rest for me was amazing and I use the one from Brunel Models with HD catering foil, love the can idea, thanx mate and keep modelling. ‘Ish, may bad’ 👍🇦🇺

For N scale use aluminum HVAC tape and a simple stiff extension spring rolled over the surface and it makes easy/realistic corrugated panels.

For HO scale corrugated metal I got a piece of plastic .040 corrugated metal and use it as a mold. Put a drop or 2 of dish detergent and add a little water (to release the surface tension). Then add a generous amount of Elmer's glue (PVA) and wait for it to dry. Then add another layer on top and wait for it to dry. Then CAREFULLY peel off the glue layer and paint it as you would any corrugated metal. For O scale corrugated metal I got me one of those toothpaste squeezers from Amazon (only $9.99) and save every beer can after I drink it, cut it up with my tin snips and run it through the toothpaste squeezer. Now I've got more O scale corrugated metal than I know what to do with. I guess from now on all my scratch built O scale buildings will have corrugated siding and corrugated roofs, LOL! Is there a modeling reason if the finish of the models is always completely matte? I visited the Saumur museum in France and saw the tanks in real life and they are not opaque, you can see that they are made of steel even if they are painted matte, so why?

I think meant to say thinned with mineral spirits, not lacquer thinner.

Hi, I purchased the Corrugating tool from Brunel. I model in 00 scale (1:76) so there is a slight difference in scale. After a couple of uses I was able to make a couple of. Ideas which I was very happy with. Then the took snapped cleanly. I tried to glue it back together but no success. I did contact John ( think that was his name), he told me they would replace it if I paid the postage and they now had a tool in 1:76 . I agreed but then we lost contact. That was disappointing as I can’t really use the tool. It would be great if someone would make that tool in steel or, is your tool available in 1:76 ?

Nice work there. One observation is that the fenders had square mounting blocks with the bolt thread in them. There were no big holes in the side of the hull behind them. Your holes are also bigger than the bolt heads you made.
