I've tested this bike on Yamaha event in Greece and it is awesome ! It is true that you feel the quality of the bike . I have a CBF125 and it was the first time I've ridden another bike , the thing is I wasn't afraid , the tires and brakes were much better and it felt like I was riding a bike not a "bike" . Also it was much smoother and seemed more powerful . It was pretty cool ! I wanted to ride mt-03 too but I don't have A2 license
I've been eyeing this for a long time. In the UK you have to start with a 125...I'm seriously thinking of doing a CBT when I can afford one to go and get one of these....it would sure beat the hell out of my pushbike getting to and from work. Also I'm quite picky about what I watch and you managed to keep my attention all the way through so nice job :P
I'm pissed at the fact that Yamaha doesn't offer the MT125 or the YZF125 here in the United States. First Europe gets the two door Fiesta ST, and now you all get two more awesome bikes! Why, Yamaha? Why?
Because in the EU when you become 17 you may ride a 125cc motorcycle (max CC) this is for 2 years then you get an A2 License that allows for a larger CC then A1. So the 125cc motorcycle market in EU is massive!
That's clearly no excuse. There's a market for bikes of this nature in North America as well. The Honda Grom for example, has sold like crazy since it launched.
Colton Allen because the Honda grom is very cheap, and also is great for stunting, even if the bike is dropped it probably won't have much damage. Unlike the mt 125 or yzf r125 which are both rather expensive and are not good for stunting.
Thanks to you Cager, as a new rider I bought the 2017 Mt-125 (the profile pic is my bike just after it was delivered at the dealer). Will be riding it this Friday! You should be on commission from Yamaha!

Omar Walker the ktm is just way to small for any guy over 1.80m i would say. You hit the tank with your knees and the overall ergonomics just dont feel good. Get the mt125. It feels like a motorcycle whereas the duke feels more like a toy.
I understand maybe some riders can only use a 125, but these companies are shafting young riders in the ass with these prices. You can have a duke 390, cbr300, YZFR3 , cbr 500 all at near the same price and they are all much more bike
+The Kruxed Check out the prices KTM riders pay in Europe, UK riders are being taken advantage of by everyone. www.ktm.com/gb/ and see the top banner where it says United Kingdom. Then click and you will see the other countries, click to see what they pay. The real problem is the second hand market is less distorted, so if you buy new you will suffer a profound depreciation, even if you look after your bike and keep it like new
brandywell44 It will differ based on tax mostly, its why a lot of USA and some EU stuff seems a lot cheaper because it rarely ever has tax included in the price for USA and EU has varying rates, as we pay 20% thats a fair old hike on the RRP and then have to consider that its easier to transport to EU hubs than it is the UK due to other taxes. End of the day its basically tax, which is why the 2hnd market is not so bad

Andy G I did my CBT on a YBR 125 and The MT-125's riding position is virtually the same, plus the MT-125 has more pull too, so ideal if you want take it on the Motorway when you have a full license.

you should do a review on the derbi mulhacen 125cc the get up too 100kmh+ a lot faster than them bikes its at least 6 seconds. and its very like the MT. with water cooled and shape the same.
what are u on about. derbi mulhacen is only four stroke the gpr can be two stoke or 4. the gpr in two stroke would smoke thes bikes. the derbi mulhacen is proper fast all the way to 65 then they top out at 75mph
I've never been to London but i assume its a lot of squeezing through traffic and riding at moderate speeds. For that the MT125 is pretty good. You can easily sqeeze between cars and get from point a to point b pretty fast. The only thing that isn't too much fun is riding on highways since the topspeed (on flat) is somewhere at 120 km/h or 75 mph. But riding through the city or hitting the twisties in the countryside is so much fun on this bike.
I've been looking to buy this 125cc motorbike for some time now, however, quite a lot of reviews say that this bike is really tall (seat height wise). I'm currently 5ft8 / 9 and was wondering if anyone had some experience with this bike around my height or a little shorter/taller. Thank you.
+tomh0124 Hey, i bought this bike new a week ago, I am about 5 foot 6/7 and for me the seat is just fine. its somewhat tall and its werry cluncky trying out if its your first time ever to ride a bike. But if youre like me, just put down 10-20 minutes and its not longer a problem and gets verry manageble. I dont have much time on the bike, but really its that comfy u get used to it quickly. I have no problems turning low speed any speed what so ever. If its ur first bike and you live on the country you might as well check out the wr125 because its enduro designe(so u can have fun in the woods rather than just the roads) But if you dont like the height and not into off road, the duke 125 is a lill bit smaller and the way to go. I might regreting not getting the duke/wr125 because they are a bit cheaper, but in the end, the Yamaha MT looks a lot more Premium than the others. I hope this helps :)
Thanks very much but i have changed my mind. Will be getting a YBR 125 as it's my very first bike so gonna save up no claims to get a bigger bike when i'm 19, Thanks anyway dude, appreciate it!
MT Better Max power and looks better :D And better "Beschleunigung" I don't know the English word just 13sek from 0 to 100 and duke needs 25sek and duke just have 105 max speed but the mt have 125
+Emil Krcic I think with the mt you can't do anything wrong looks great, is fast and best quality price is expensive but you got quality and much power for a 125er I just searched for the max speed (it's actually 138km/h) :D Have fun and drive safe ma friend :)

És pt? CagerOnTwowheels. Boa, finalmente encontrei um youtuber biker de portugal, nice, essa bike é fixe?
Im 5ft9 and yeah it’s quite tall but once your riding you don’t notice it
Anyone know if this would fit a 5 foot 6 ish height
I'm turning 17 on Halloween and I want this bike but definitely different exhaust😂
Yamaha yzf r125 or mt 125 what you recomend to me?? I wanna go whit comodity, i mean i dont wanna stay in a very moto GP position...
The mt
thanks my friend
+Mr Ardillo np, the mt is the most versatile
i have the mt and even you still have to lean forward a bit like moto GP
This one or Honda cb125 r?
@CagerOnTwoWheels ey is the MT better then the ktm duke 125? I need to choose between thoose two.
MT
Better Max power and looks better :D
And better "Beschleunigung"
I don't know the English word
just 13sek from 0 to 100 and duke needs 25sek
and duke just have 105 max speed but the mt have 125
Ey thanks my German friend i tested both and the MT is much better in every thing and it looks like a ninja bike :)
+Emil Krcic I think with the mt you can't do anything wrong
looks great, is fast and best quality
price is expensive but you got quality and much power for a 125er
I just searched for the max speed (it's actually 138km/h) :D
Have fun and drive safe ma friend :)
Thanks i will :)
+SizZLar[BRO-TM] i think the word your looking for is acceleration my friend
How much can a motorcycle achieve at most km / h
