Honestly the first review of it I’ve came across that ain’t Indian 😂
I thought it was just me LOL
I 2nd that notion and also sick of seeing them doing reviews in bloody flip-flops.
Honestry me too this is the first
trussssss XD
There’s lots of German ones
in finland u can get the 125 at the age of 16
Toni Litva thats good to start younger.. 50cc at 16 in England
In romania it's 15'6 and u can get 125 :D
Same in Sweden
Same in Serbia
We can drive 400cc in japan.
I have to say...
I’ve had my duke 125 17 model since October last year, and I’ve used it everyday since. It’s never broke down, and I’ve never had any issues.
TBH upgrading from a lexmoto to a KTM, was very different but worth it.
This bike is PERFECT for a beginner rider 👌👌👌
Thanks for the insight
Well lexmotos are shit so no wonder u prefer it
Thanks👍 considering to get a ktm 125 duke 2017. They look great little decent bike zip around in London.
what was its top speed? considering buying one but here i only saw it at 60mph or 100km/h, i want it to be a little faster than that
@@kallerygert1002 70
Food for thought. Even a 58 year old is considering pros and pros of this size! Great vlog.
Ian Lawrie thanks Ian, I was in London a couple of weeks ago on my Big GS battling through the congested traffic, I was thinking then why aren't more people riding bikes like this?
KaiserWheelHelm In London people don't really bother to spend the extra cash on something like a Duke. They pick the automatic scooter, due to them being cheaper and, well, automatic. In a city, not having a manual bike is a lot easier, because you stop so many times.
epic gamer Thats a valid point... the comment I was really making was, why aren't more people just riding bikes in London. The traffic is so bad, there should be some sort of incentive to get people on a motorcycle or scooter to help ease the congestion.
@Train I filmed this two years ago.. it was a 2017 model
These type of bikes are great for us 60 year olds...
The fact that KTM DUKE 125 is a very fun motorcycle is well transmitted to here ♪
Kei MT-09TRACER Nekonaughey Special thank you Kei I had fun riding it.
I saw this review a few weeks ago and really liked it so thanks and now I have just gone out and got a new 2020 Duke 125 and I love it !
loved it at age of 66 and not riden for 25 years it my suit my fine
I'm 25 getting my CBT and this seems like the least silly bike and it's a cool looking bike anyway

It’s crazy, i am interested in doing my cbt and looking at bikes on youtube and to my shock you are starting the video right around the corner from where i live lmao.
Came across one of these in Fowler’s a few months back - real looker of a bike and was even more surprised when I discovered it was a 125 !! Was still tempted just as a fun runaround
If you and your mates were all flying around on these things it would be laugh a minute... £4700 sounds like a lot of money, but I was in Halfords the other day and they want £2000 for a pushbike. I know what I'd rather spend my money on...
Haha nice one, I might be getting mine from fowlers tomorrow!
I got the 1290r superduke, and yea Ktm are just frkin awesome.
Been riding the 2018 one for 2 months now. super smooth and easy to ride straight out of my CBT. The size and bright colours make you alot more visible and it gives you soo much more confidence. I love it time to start browsing the power parts catalog :D
How's the mileage bro,do u find any heating issue and is it good for highway touring

Im close to getting one. Possibly a week away. always said i wasnt going to get a 125 but im getting on this, same year as well. Cant wait, looking forward to this review
Getting mine on the 27th so glad that trains aren't going to be a worry anymore
Got my r125 yzf 2019 2. Of April, still remember the day picking it up at the dealership.
I'm just trying to get into bike riding and think this has given a great starting point.
Started watching because Im seriously considering getting a Duke. Then I saw you ride past my house 😂 literally the same route I take to work.
Haven’t rode a bike for about 8 years since I got my first 50cc moped at 16 and I’m considering buying a KTM 125 Duke with the reviews and stuff are all good and this video has made me go from 30% to 90% wanting one haha.
Why would you get a 125 if you have an unrestricted license go get the 390 or the 790 instead
You should have freaked out all the non-local viewers and gone around the magic roundabout :-). Great video, best one on this bike that I've found. Cheers.
Thanks bro for the video. There isn't much video review about this model I was searching n searching for this I have ordered onenice video mate
Thanks, this helped out a lot as I’m looking to purchase this exact model 👌🏻
There's a lot to be said for having a lower output bike and going everywhere flat out without doing triple figures on the speedo! Arguably more fun than going everywhere on a 150bhp bike at 15% throttle..... Good video and great bike..... Does make you wonder about how much power we actually 'need'. I have great memories of riding my DT125LC, It was a right wheelie machine 😎
DervMan oooh yeah the DT125 before the restrictions came into place, those were good times.. haha mind you I had a Suzuki AP50 (with the peddles) that could do 65 down a good hill 🤣 but yeah you are right as a commuter tool this little thing will do the job plus it does 85mpg.. winner!
KaiserWheelHelm Pedals! Even my ER50 and DT50 Didnt have pedals 🤣
Hey! Im getting my license and ny first bike will be an old DT80 lc2 that I fixed by myself, what do you think about, any recomendations??
Bought this to get to work when traffic is bad, love it !

I had made my Mind up on this bike from your review thanks!
It feels so weird watching a video that starts near where I live. I go to Greenbridge literally almost every weekend.

This motorcycle is a piece of art from KTM.
Very good review on the KTM Duke 125! Good you mentioned your inside leg measurement as many of us vertically challenged riders wonder whether they can ride any KTM with confidence. Having been riding for 49 yrs I need to downsize for health reasons but want a fun, quality bike with good handling and ABS. The 125 Duke looks like it will fit the bill perfectly...
The 390 uses exactly the same frame as the 125 so if you are downsizing and didn't want to go quite as small as a 125 maybe take a look at the 390 duke.
@@KaiserWheelHelm the 390 is in fact my model of choice to be honest Kaiser and the 1st generation models fit me well. I'm currently considering a 2016 390 with 17k km on the clock as well as a mint 2020 125 with only 1.6k km. There have been significant improvements made to the 390 in the 2nd generation models and the advice I've received so far from experienced KTM owners is to buy the newest model I can. The newer 390s available here in Greece aren't easy to find second hand, go for silly prices and of course have a 3cm taller seat height and are some 10kg heavier too. As this may be my final bike purchase (number 22!) , a 2020 125 might be more suitible in the longer term with increasing health/ bone problems.
Awesome video. Thank you.
This bike is so good looking im gonna get it in less than 7 months
Swindon ladddd :) same here, I want one of these too

I've been driving for almost 2 years but definitely interested in bikes too and this is my first choice, not to mention can probably afford insurance unlike what they charge you for cars :)

Good informative video, nice bike.
Great review 👏👏👏
Really good review. I watched this before going for the test ride and after having just tested ktm duke 125 2021 and it's bigger sibling the duke 390 2021 in France, I was better informed by this video and knew what to look for haha. I explored the TFT display.
I'm 23, 5'8 and used to ride a 100cc bike two years back. I think 390 offers wayy to much power for my needs. I just need an alternative to taking the bus for work daily. I think a 125 is perfect for commute and if required capable of reaching 90-110 kmph on the autoroute when required to go out of town haha.
Can you get the kmt 125 duke at age 17
@@kidkid1317 I'm pretty sure you can because It is a 125. Correct me if I'm wrong because I don't have rider experience since I'm 13
Edit: yes you can.
I currently have a 50cc and I love it but when its my 16th bday I want one of thoose
LOL "that might be a 250, he might have me"
Man where are you driving in this video??? This place is like driving on forza horizon 4😂
swindon area, you can tell by the huge TK Max and WH Smiths and pirate-roundabout-trees-desert-island-thing - it's weird, but that's what makes it home i guess :)
If You have a height of 70kg and a height of 170cm - and You want just to ride around the city, or neighborhoods - you'd enjoy it. For bigger guys, longer travel and to pass cars, You need 350...400ccm at least. If with passengers - more, 650ccm might start to be enough. I rode this duke for a whole day because I have only B category and practicing for A - I could do what I want and go everywhere, but the acceleration... it is fair, but not confident. I liked the stability and feel of a real motorbike on it because many 125 feel like mopeds, narrow, small, etc. I liked the look - I had a great time anyway. Reliable little friend.
Great guy 👌👍
great review
Love the review of the bike, its very informative and both the filming and audio quality are spot on. Your pleasant and positive attitude comes across very well.
However I don't agree with you encouraging 17 year old kids who have just left school and landed their first jobs to get themselves in debt and saddled with finance agreements.
Unfortunaly employment at this young age is not the most stable or secure environment. It's sad, but most kids will not be in the same job in 3 years time!
Have you ever wondered why there are so many nearly new 125's for sale, 2 to 12 months old with hardly any miles on the clock?
Most of these are finance company repossessions, from young kids who's jobs haven't worked out for them. They find themselves in a position where they are unable to make the repayments for the bike and also the huge insurance premiums that young riders are faced with. They consequently have their bikes taken away and end up credit blacklisted with a massive debt around their necks, (Or their parents, if they stood as guarantors for the loan).
Its not the best lesson in the world to teach the next generation of teenagers, fresh out of school with the whole world in front of them is it?
Save up and buy one when you can afford it!
Start off with an older cheaper bike first, which you can easily afford, and easily sell on if you find yourself in financial difficulties.
As a learner you'll probably put a few scratches and scrapes on your first bike too, so an older bike is a more sensible option when you're starting out. The insurance will be much cheaper too!
I'm not taking anything away from your review of the bike, as I previously said, it's a brilliant and very professionally presented review. However I just don't think it's such a good idea to encourage kids to get into debt.
There's enough temptation out there from the huge loan companies, banks and retail corporations... without RUclips reviewers influencing people to get themselves into debt.
I’m thinking about buying one and I’m in Wiltshire to
I'm 48 years old and have had everything from a sedate pan European to a fun fun fun R6.
But I'm looking for a little commuter for a 40 mile round trip to work (half of it less that 40mph limits)
I am torn between the MT125 Yam and this little beauty.
Thanks so much for posting this. Makes a change to see a proper British video of these bikes.
Dave Dickson I have the mt 125 and I’m very impressed with it very nice to ride and plenty of power even with 20 stone rider
Definetely the mt because of the better quality and reliability from Yamaha, a better sitting position and it conserves fuel better
In sweden you Can driva a 50cc bike at the age of 15 With a AM drivers licenses, a 125cc boka At the age of 16 with a A1 drivers license, a 400cc bike At the age of 18 with a A2 drivers license and a whatever bike At the age of 24 or if you have had the A2 license for two years so then 20 years old. And keep in mind you can only get a drivers license for a car at age 18 in Sweden so I know this is complicated but it’s cool that you can do it
I think its a perfect bike for riding around town. Obviously not for the highway or racing. But fun as hell!
Personally, I think you can actually take it on a highway, but you shouldn't go really far tho.
rlly good video
If you want a bit more zip outta the baby duke stick a 50 tooth sprocket on the back takes a bit off top end but it gets there a lot faster

My DT125 was stolen and I was hoping to get it in road this summer, I’m thinking of getting one of these. How does it compare to a DT? Any idea? Appreciate it! X
Hey Kaiser, Thanks for the video.. I'm thinking of buying a second hand 2018 model. it looks oks and drives perfectly. but has 10,000 km on it... would it be good idea to buy? or its too much?
I would appreciate if you could advice on this
It's really hard to say. Some bikes have an easy 10k, some don't. Look at the owner, is it a kid without a clue?? Look at the chain to see if it's been maintained, if they haven't looked after the chain they probably haven't looked after the bike. Is it a genuine reason for selling. If everything looks ok 10k shouldn't be that much.
I love the looks and specs of it... I am looking at 125cc bikes that I will buy soon... Is would you recommend the bike? Also I am only 5’3 is that gonna be a worry? 🙈

Jhay Lim I'm 5'8 with an inside leg measurement of 30 inches and I can stand with my feet flat on the floor. I don't think you will find it any problems on this bike. I think 125 is a better choice over 50 because you don't need to use the extra speed of the 125 all the time, but if you ever need to go faster you can.
How about a review of the Sinnis Terrain 125
I had a 125 ATVs and there is a screw you loosen to let in more gas for more power
What would you choose between this KTM 125 or a Lexmoto LXS 125 ?
I’m an older learner, would you recommend a 125 for a 30 something or go straight in with DAS and the A licence. I have no experience so would need to learn my craft but not sure if to do it on a CBT or the full licence.
