while i agree with this to an extent, being lost was impeding my enjoyment of the game and following a guide, while i don't get the level of exploration that a blind playthrough would provide, its still fun
@@blkstr301I mean it can take away by making you less interested in the game by solving all of the puzzles and once you start googling a game you always end up with spoilers even if it just shows you a boss
I mean immersion wise it's as good as Elden ring, fun wise it's better. The lore is interesting and open to interpretation. Subsequent playthroughs are just as good. Perfect game imo, although dark souls 3 has better bosses
@@Channel3.14 A simple, small game, I finished a NG+ playthrough of DS1R only yesterday, it is miles behind DS2 and DS3, and even Demons Souls is better in my opinion (although I have only played it once via an unstable emulation, so I may be wrong there). DS3 is a simple, larger game, restrained due to all of the whining about DS2 being too hard/complicated, none of the souls games are anywhere near close to perfect, even if you ignore the glitches and exploits, still enjoyable though, although it will be a long time before I consider replaying DS1, or DS3.

i think the perspective is skewed by people that look up wiki guides before or during the game which takes away from the exploration bliss

That makes the game infinitely better, but sadly we live in an age where we want to finish stuff quick and move onto the next thing

my favorite is ds3. but i adore every souls game.
Ds3 has the best boss fights and consistency wise it's the best from beginning to end. Just the immersion isn't really there for me

In a sense yeah, Elden ring over thinks with its boss design to the point where it's made to catch you off guard and not to be fun.
