What an incredible spot ♡ thanks for sharing!!!!
No worries, thanks! Definitely one of the best campsites I’ve hiked too 👍
What an amazing camp!
Thanks Mark, its a great spot. Although very overgrown out there now.
Once again an amazing video! I love it🔥
Thanks mate! 🎉
Hi friend, what an amazing camp site! Love it♥️♥️♥️ Thankyou.
Steak looked great😋😋👍
Thank you! It was pretty delicious. It is such a beautiful campsite - highly enjoyed it and keen for another one soon.
what a spot! looks amazing mate
Cheers bud!
Looks so beautiful, i need to try it
It’s a great spot out there. The rough pad up there is a heap more overgrown now though.
❤️🥰 loving your vid 🥰❤️
Thank you so much 😊😁
Nice video mate I’m relaxed just watching it 😂 saved me the hike
Haha cheers buddy! Glad I saved you the exercise 🤣😂
great video!
Thanks so much 😀
Adding this to the shortlist!
Cheers! I highly recommend it 👍
make some more vids mate love the scenery!
Cheers! Haha, I’m working on it 👍
" going up via Davies Ridge, which has been ravaged by bushfires.......Should be fun!" Lol! Yeah the bloody fires have made alot of lowlying green scrub take over, cant find the path! But makes for easier bush bashing! Nice video bru!
Thanks mate! Sorry about the late reply; seems your comment got held for spam. Haha, yep. It sure does. Cheers!
@@AaronGrayOutdoors spaaaaam... yummm! No worries Aaron!
Stunning views! I guess winter is the best time with the long grass and snakes around the place?
Thanks! Yep, definitely a winter hike. Plus the trail receives little to no maintenance so more than likely more overgrown out there now.
Hiked here the weekend just gone with some mates, based solely upon watching your video - so thanks for showing us!
Lovely campsite, definitely the nicest campsite I’ve been to.4WD access needed to get to the end of the road (we left a 2WD car a few km back).
That climb at the end though? Bloody hell that was tough, but SO WORTH IT for the views
Haha yes, it is a very steep climb but it is definitely worth it!!! I was up there again on Friday night that just passed. We did a day trip to Mount Huntley on Saturday before returning home. We did go past a group of like 8 heading up there for Saturday night. I assume that wasn't your group? Panorama Point itself also offers amazing views but is more of a climb.
@@AaronGrayOutdoors look that probably was us we messed up the numbers so probably had more people than ‘allowed’ - we even had a hiker stumble through at 8:30 at night who needed a place to stay too.
Right! That was my Jimny you parked next too at the end of Old Mill Road. Crazy to stumble into camp that late. Hopefully he was okay! Glad you enjoyed it :)
@@AaronGrayOutdoors I actually wondered if it was the same car as the one from the video LOL
You mustn’t have seen the “Aaron Gray Outdoors” sticker on my boot then haha. I’ll definitely head back up there next winter. It’s a little too hot now.
That’s gotta be one of the better campsite views I’ve seen! How much water did you need to bring, or was there some close by?
Cheers! We both took 4 litres each which was enough for the two days. Unfortunately there is no water close by.
Hello, what a beautiful video. Do you need a 4wd or will a all terrain do?
Thanks Michelle. You would need a 4WD for old mill road. Without it, it’ll be an additional hour walk (approx 5km) each way.
Hey bud, how long would you say the hike was from your car to the campsite? Do you happen to have a GPS file or something similar?
Looks amazing! Cheers!
Thanks! It was only about 2 hours from car to camp. No GPS but it’s fairly straight forward if you stick to the top of the ridges. Cheers!
Great video 😊
What route did you take, was there any scrambling?
Hey Mark. From the end of Old Mill Road, we went straight up Davies Ridge until we hit the main ridge. Then followed that up to Lower Panorama Point. Whilst there is no scrambling, there is one really steep section. I re-visited this about 6 months ago, and the trail is way more overgrown now (weed infested). Navigational skills are definitely required. I hope that helps.
@@AaronGrayOutdoors thank you 😊
how'd you keep that steak safe while hiking it in?! thats such a deadly feed in such a wicked spot
It was definitely the right meal for the right place! I just made sure the steak remained cool and wasn’t unrefrigerated for too long. It was bloody good 🥩👌
If you start the hike with it frozen, it’ll last ages
Where is that
Out on the main range, near the Steamers / Killarney.
@@AaronGrayOutdoors ok
Is there much difference between Lower Panorama and Panorama remote camp site?
Yep. Panorama Point camp is very small. Lower Panorana Point is a much better camp site offering extensive views and is very wind protected.
@@AaronGrayOutdoors Ok thanks for that, had been looking at doing the trip to panorama point but will change that to this one now. Have you done Laidley creek falls off the scenic rim trail? Amazing view from there as well, i just uploaded my video of the trip we did there on monday on my channel.
@@chuzeychuze9905 cheers, I will check it out. Laidley has been on my list, but haven’t got around too it yet. Heard it’s pretty overgrown out there though.
@@AaronGrayOutdoors yeah very overgrown and some really nasty spiky plants and barbed wire vine as well. Well worth it though, you'll see what I mean in my video.
@@chuzeychuze9905 I was mistaken. I went past Panaroma Point on Saturday and it also offers amazing views but the camp site is realistically only big enough for one tent.
Can you see my warning
Not from this peak, unfortunately.
Do you need permission by anyone to drive up Old Miller road?
Nope, you can drive all the way up to the farm at the end.
@@AaronGrayOutdoors Thats awesome. How long would you say the distance of the walk is? Do you have a GPS route plotted? I cant wait to go.
Thanks! It’s only 2 hours from car to camp, although steep in places. It’s fairly easy navigation wise, just stick to the ridge and the feint but easy to follow footpad and you can’t go wrong. Enjoy!
