G'day Anthony! Hope you have been well mate 👍 thanks for the kind words too... This campsite really has it all! Tonight, 6.30 mate... Camp out update and details coming your way...! Hope to see you there 😊 cheers, Rob 🤠
The name Winder is due to an old WW2 half track that was adapted with a winch. It was used to lower logs down to laidley creek. The path that the logs were winched down was called a chute. There were several such chutes in the goomburra state forest. The locations of the chutes are shown on the Dept Of Forestry map for the area ( not sure if still in print). Last time I was there 10 years ago the old half track was still there.
Mate... I had no idea!! It's amazing the untold history of the areas like this! Can just imagine how hard the lads would have worked to make that happen! There was a bit of a track that could have been it... you will have to check it out again mate and let us know! Love that kind of stuff!
Thanks Rob for another great video, love how detailed you are which helps me immensely in deciding where to camp, for sure adding this one to my camping wishlist! Keep up the great work ⭐
G'day Tracey! No problems at all... Yeah, don't even second guess on this one... It is an absolute gem! Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to say g'day too! 👍 Cheers, Rob 🤠
Lake Moogerah Campground has the BEST camp kitchen anywhere. Huge undercover area with several microwaves several BBQ electric plates. Huge fridge. Stainless everywhere. Its fantastic. Have used it a few times when our microwave wouldn’t work. This is the campground with the boat ramps. One for campers the other for day trippers.
It really is hey! A total hidden gem in what is an amazing valley and National Park nearby! Can't wait to go back! Should be the perfect spot for the campout event too!
G'day Mark! Thanks mate... This is actually the location of the next campout mate! Hope to see you there. More info coming soon 👍 Merch is moments away mate 😀😀 hope you are well... Happy Easter mate!
