- I travel to Glasshouse Mountains in the South East Queensland and explore those magnificent trails through the State Forrest around Mt Beerwah. I then head to Maleny Range for the night and enjoy the amazing hillside camping spot where have valley views and sit by a fire. Once my Kings roof top tent setup is done, I capture some amazing drone footage of Maleny Valley.
Thank you Grant, for sharing your great cinematography! Anyone who say's they don't like to camp must have rocks in their heads! Great music too! 🙂
Good down to earth camping nice easy set up gotta love the bush
Absolutely, I definitely want to visit this place again. Thanks for watching Anthony 👍
Awesome spot mate ! Just got myself a np300 and it's my first 4x4 and loving watching your vids !!
That's awesome Adam, you'll enjoy the np300, such a fun, and reliable 4wd. Cheers for the comment 👍
Good video! You don't realise how much effort goes into making a video like this so appreciated thankyou! 😀👌
There is so much work that goes into these videos, I appreciate the comment. Cheers, Grant.
That is an amazing camping spot and 10/10 breakfast!
That's a nice piece of kit - will have a closer look at it
Your footage of the pine forest reminded me of my late teens when the Northlakes area (and most of Petrie) was all pine forest. We used to grow a few 'pot plants' and imbibe in our agriculture right where the Northlakes shopping centre is now.
The pine forests are great, I use to explore them as a teenager as well. Also found a few 'pot plants' when mountain biking through there haha
Awesome video Grant. Good use of audio makes for a complete package for great entertainment. It's amazing how drones are adding a new dimension to amateur video productions. Look forward to your next adventure. Cheers.
Cheers for the support. I'm still learning the drone but they are fun to use as well.
I subscribed, I like that your genuinely enjoying the adventure. That drone shot 5:56 👌

Great vid thanks for sharing. What an amazing place. Cheers
It truly is a beautiful part of QLD, thanks for the message Kate.
New subscriber from a fellow NP300 owner 👍 love the chilled out vibe. Just pictured having one too many beers and U get out the wrong side of the RTT and fall through the awning 🤣
Haha mate, it could easily happen, thankfully I haven't done it,..... yet. Cheers mate, thanks for the comment.
There is an old track (not sure if it's still open) that runs from out the back of Dayboro right up to the top of D'Aguillar range and eventually gets you to the main camping areas (the sawmill and Rocky Hole etc) from the Southern end of the range. It's an incredible drive, and has some spectacular views when you get to the top of the ridge. I drove it around 14 years ago, so it may well be closed or no longer marked. There is an old book/atlas titled 'Explore Australia by 4WD' that has the entire track mapped. Not sure if the book is still available. It was part of a series; Explore Australia, Explore Australia by 4WD and (I think) 'Explore Australia by caravan'.
Sounds like a great track to explore. I use to live down that way, will have to check it out next time I'm in the SEQLD.
Still open 2023
Great video, Grant. Randomly stumbled across this looking for SE QLD camp spots. Had no idea you made these. I worked with you when you were are FARPY, I was on your sister course in OPS, mate. Great to see you making these videos.
Excellent video mate, that camping spot is amazing!!
It was a great camp site. I've been back here since and it was just as good as the first time. Cheers 👍

Excellent series mate. You have ticked a number of my to-do camps and explorations. What type of drone are you running, as it's good footage. Subbed and look forward to more great content.
Thanks Dave, I use the DJI Mavic Air. It's great drone, I'm pretty happy with it. I appreciate your support mate, thanks again. Grant.
Hey mate. Awesome vid. If you dont mind what was that campsite called? Want to check it out some time
What a great spot can you give directions how to get there
Hi Gary, the camp in on the road between Landsborough and Maleny. The farm is called Rivedell, they are on wikicamps app. Cheers, Grant.
Nice spot
Thanks 👍
Hey mate. Where exactly is that campsite. I love it!! Really went to go there!! Cheers
Hey mate, it's called Riverdel. It's on hipcamp. I've stayed a couple of times, it's really good. Cheers 👍
@@OverlandUnknown Thank’s so much. Really appreciate that
Too pricey
nice video..will return there one day...subscribed
Great video, the trails are so nice to wander along and explore, good setup with a nice fire, love the drone views too. The jet boil is new to me, haven't seen them before, must check it out further, to make a quick coffee in the morning.☕
The jetboils are amazing, boils the water within a minute. great for when you want to make a quick coffee :)
The glasshouse mountains the home of the yowie there has been a lot of activity of them hang around in this area for thousands and thousands and thousands of years and if you talk to an Aboriginal elder he will even confirm this is just one of those spots roam through
I grew up in the Glasshouse Mountains, I've never seen one but I have heard the stories, sighting over the range past Peachester.
That’s just Wayne. A man with a hairy back who lived out that way.
Hey mate do you have to book this camp site ?
Also can you link where it is struggling to find it
Here you go mate, they are on Hipcamp, farm is called Riverdell 👍www.hipcamp.com/en-AU/land/queensland-riverdell-r57hy6oz/sites/425693?adults=1&children=0
Nice spot. Gps, phone no, cost would be handy in more info
Would love to know the name of the camp
What vehicle do you drive? Loved your video! 👍
It is a Nissan Narava NP300. Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it :)
when you do air out, what PSI recommand?
How much was it to stay the night when you went? I just Googled the site looks great but $49 is a bit steep?.. I’ve driven past this place heaps before but of course I always look at the Wine Barrel across the road! Makes me thirsty
I see the price has gone up. I paid $27. If you want privacy and quite camping, it's still a beautiful place to stay at. I heard the Wine barrel across the road has new owners, always loved their Sav there. Thanks for the comment, Grant 👍
camping everywhere has spiked in price.
Amazing camp where was it and name of place
Riverdell at Maleny. Find them on Hipcamp.
Do you know any camping spots in QLD that’s low car friendly, like JDM type cars, sounds dumb, the whole point of going camping is to take a 4x4 but would be nice to be able to take a modified car camping
Hmm not sure mate. Maybe Noosa Shore camping area?
Amazing, what's the name of this campground? Where is it?
G'day, the place is called Riverdell. They can be found on FB. It is amazing and definitely recommend staying there 🙂
@@OverlandUnknown legend, thank you
No worries mate 👍
So where is it and what is it called ?????????
What is the name of thet campsite?
Can you tell me what the name of that camp site was? I am looking at a site called the Junction and it looks like that spot?
Hey mate, the camp site is 'Valley view' 👌. The Junction is pretty nice to, quite secluded, you'll definitely need a 4x4 though.
@@OverlandUnknown Thank you. I got a jacked up Jimny that should do the trick. Looks so nice there. I think I'll book it now then 👍
@@jasoncaisley2574 i love those Jimnys.. you'll have no dramas getting to any of the camp sites
Where in glasshouse is this camp site please
Just up the road at Maleny. It's on hipcamp and it's called Riverdell 👍
On ya mate. Hows the roof top tent weight on the canopy with you in it while static? Did you think evet to place it on the roof?
It's been on the canopy for around 2 years now, no issues. Na, I didn't want it on the roof. My canopy has support brackets inside to support the extra weight.
How do you find the kings roof top tent?
For the price, you can't go past it. A 2 year review is coming very soon.
Where is the Maleny camping spot?
It's on the road from Landsborough to Maleny. It's called Riverdell, they have a FB page.
where exactly is this camp at?
We live on the coast. Where is this?
It's on a farm called Riverdell. Between Landsborough and Maleny, on the range. They can be found online.
I could not find any reference to the name of this camp site or how we can book it ourselves. Does anyone have the contact details for this campsite?
google Riverdell Farm Maleny mate
@@roykolberg9599 Thanks mate. Much appreciated.
What was the thing you boiled the water in
It's a jetboil. They are great for boiling water quickly and heating up food. Perfect for hiking as well.
Hi mate - what’s the name of the campsite ?
Riverdell at Maleny. Find them on hipcamp
