I travel to Glasshouse Mountains in the South East Queensland and explore those magnificent trails through the State Forrest around Mt Beerwah. I then head to Maleny Range for the night and enjoy the amazing hillside camping spot where have valley views and sit by a fire. Once my Kings roof top tent setup is done, I capture some amazing drone footage of Maleny Valley.
Cradle Mountain, Tasmania - Hike to the Summit 2022 (incredible views!)
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.4 года назад
In 2020, I hiked the amazing Cradle Mountain which is located in Tasmania, Australia. I started at Dove Lake Car Park and headed to Marion's Lookout via the steep and hard 'link track'. I make my way to Kitchen Hut for a food stop before heading up the mountain to the summit. It took 5hrs and 30 minutes return. I highly recommend to do this hike, it is amazing and it is a beautiful part of Tasm...
Mount Cook / Aoraki 100km/hr winds , my attempt to climb Mt Cook (Old footage).
Просмотров 31411 лет назад
I had 5 days to tag the summit and return to Wanaka. We had Severe wind warning for the entire time I was at Plateau Hut. From the Met service: 1000m: 20km/hr, 2000m: 40-60km/hr, 3000m : 80km/hr You can see the haze above Mount Cook from the fast winds hitting and blowing over the top.
Nice. Can’t help but hear all the squeaks your car makes (I have just redone all my linkage bushings so am paranoid thus my ear is tuned to it). Hadn’t heard of the diesel alpine additive before. Have lived in Canada and Alaska and they don’t use it at -20/-60C
Quickl and simple walk through, good on ya
Where did you run your wiring through into your tub
gday, there is a rubber grommet in the tub near the cabin. hope this helps. if you need more info, let me know, cheers.
beautiful film collage
cheers mate.
Well done...no nonsense coverage...keep them coming
agreed mate, just a no nonsense adventure. thanks for watching
Did a similar setup years ago. If doing it again would use 40amp charger better especially if car running for shorter times.
Can you show where the trigger cable is plug in? I’m struggling with this for last two weeks, even authorised dealer give up 😢
nice video mate. clear as & no b.s keep it up brother
cheers mate, appreciate the comment
Talk about innovation. Wow 😂
Hey bloke, thanks for a great vid. Just wondering how you rate your kings pop up roof tent ? Upper Jamieson hut is my fav spot, good to see you there , i know it is a while ago now. All good to that spot ! Cheers 🤠👌
Any footage on pickerings hut
Will the controller automatically switch to the solar input for charging when available when you shut the car off? Or do you have to manually set the Mode to charge via solar? Very well done video. Kudos...

You looked pretty bloody pleased with yourself at the end there. And rightly so, great couple of tips mate, cheers. 👍
Great video,Thank you
I’m thinking of doing this track stock n70 hilux other than all terrains would you recommend it? It would be early may
Thinking of doing the same in a Triton with ATs. Did you end up doin it? I reckon it looks achievable but there's a lot of the track that wasn't filmed :)
What time on the year is this mate ?
Your channel is really great. Down to earth, good information, and give a really good feel for each of the places you've visited. I enjoyed every video. This one seems like a wrap-up video, but hopefully not. Hopefully, you'll post again some day.
cheers mate, appreciate the comment. unfortunately life is busy. definitely need to rekindle the filming. cheers.
mate if you mind me my navara has not been lifted yet would it be able to climb up at kroobit? hows the road up there? hoping you would notice me
Thanks for your video, I wonder if you can share the name of the campsite?
Can you storage the Jerry can and the hose where it’s exposed to the sun?
Mate, great work filming it all. I’m going solo with my son in April and appreciate the track info. It’s nice to see others giving it a go too. Thanks again.
Very nice set-up! Is that battery isolated from your starter battery? Thanks
Great video, Grant. Randomly stumbled across this looking for SE QLD camp spots. Had no idea you made these. I worked with you when you were are FARPY, I was on your sister course in OPS, mate. Great to see you making these videos.
Great trip loved the videos I’ve just purchased my 1st Nav are you running a suspension upgrade lift etc ??? your Nav Sat real well over the terrain that you crossed cheers
1200 bucks with the agm battery 😂 ripped off buddy

mate this is exavcly what I have been looking for. I use proquip water containers as well
Awesome video, i grew up in Bonnie Doon and then moved to Delatite. We had horse’s and went up the mountains with our horses. Much faster in the car, i really enjoyed seeing the huts again, thank you for taking me home again. I wish i was there right now. Stay safe out there, i do hope you have a SAT phone or EPIRB. ❤❤❤❤
Mate, just get yourself a Kick Ass battery tray. It'll stop that battery from moving around. Great video, thanks for posting.
Hi, im a newview with this stuff. If i want to charge with a 240v charger, can i charge with the battery connected to the box or do i need to disconnect the battery from the box? Cheers
Great easy straight forward setup. Sweet. 👌
Great tracks, did lots of trail biking all through that area in the mid and late 70s, good to know that its all still accessible, magnificent views from every high point.
👏👏👏😎
Thank you Very informative..
my issue as a tech is that you haven't mentioned fuses. Did you install any? Should have fuse from output of battery (near battery) abd then near your load (battery box). Otherwise you run the risk of a short and potential fire.
Love the intro! 😂
Thanks man - that was an awesome video 👍 well explained and simple to follow - get out there
Great video mate. Looks incredible
when you do air out, what PSI recommand?
What a good idea, did you get the bits n bobs from the same place where you get the water jerry can from?
Brilliant info and looks easy enough for me to give it a go. Thanks heaps. I took a photo of the shopping list for Bunnings. Your introduction was epic !!!
how long did you make the hose thanks
So where is it and what is it called ?????????
As I understand that system is available in Australia? Can you direct me how I can avail the system? I’m from the Philippines. Thank you.
Some beautiful country out there, a bit disappointed at the end though, I used to visit Dago back in my younger days and I was hoping to see what it looked like now, great trip though thank you.
To promote Kroombit Tops National Park in Australia. The Destiny's Child hit Lose My Breathe could be remixed changing the chorus lyric of: 'can you keep up' to 'kroooommmbit tops!' You'll love every krom of it.
