    I know you didn't rate the view from your camp very highly, but to me that looked like a super speccy spot! A bit like that Lizard Point camp, it's cool how close it is to the cliff edge.

      I think it was more so the fact it was just a window, rather than an expansive 360’ view. It felt a little dodgy camping so close to the cliff, but it was the only semi-flat spot.

      Cheers. I was a little skeptical on the chair at first, but once I bought the bullet I haven't looked back. Although I still can't convince myself to carry one for a multi-day hike (3+ nights), but they are perfect for the overnights. Gotta have a bit of comfort, right?

      Yep, I ascended from the Teviot side. Whilst steeper, it is shorter than coming from white swamp. It was a great walk and a nice place to spend the night.

      @ yeah hoping for the flowers to be out. Heading to aspiring hut and maybe up to French ridge hut. Only got to lake Cygnus, planned to go to Oberon but underestimated it haha. Also rain was coming so walked all the way back out in a day to avoid it. What a killer though! At least I know what I’m capable of now

    Looks like it was a wonderful campsite! I've been contemplating this one, wondering how it compares to the Glen Rock summit and ridge traverse if you've done that. Were there any sketchy bits, or was it just hard uphill and overgrown? Did you carry all your water in?

      It’s a special place. I haven’t been up Glen rock yet, but no there were no difficulties. Just one really scrubby / overgrown descent from the ridge to the creek. The creek is 20min from camp so you can fill up there.

    I’ve done this hike with a bunch of mates. It is a hard slog in places. Lot’s of feral pigs near the waterfall too. Beautiful views though

The Mt Mistake Range was logged during the twentieth century and is now regenerating, however the western side around there may have been spared. It certainly looks pristine. May I suggest Mount Ballow in the Mt Barney National Park for a future expedition...

    wow this looks like so much fun! i’ve never heard of pack rafting until i watched this video. i just went on a portage trip on a inflatable 2 person kayak and if i knew these types of rafts were a thing before that it would have saved us from the packing stress hahaha! great video
