The first guy singing is Jesse leech. He was the first singer for killswitch but he left later on due to personal reasons. But then they got Howard Jones for the next 3 records then Howard had to leave due to health reasons. I had no idea Howard was going to be on this track! I first heard and saw the video first. When they started showing glimpses of Howard I was like “ is that Howard”?! Then I saw it was him and screamed like a 12 year old and was jumping up and down on my bed like a lunatic 😂😂😂 Killswitch is one of my favorite bands and I love both Jesse and Howard. If you guys get a chance to be able to see Killswitch live.. DO IT! I’ve seen them 7 times with both Howard and Jesse. You will NOT be disappointed! One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live and I’ve seen more bands than I can count over the years! Every Killswitch song is amazing!!!
So part of the reason they did this collaboration is because whenever a band switches frontman there's always rumors that get swirled around like "the old singer hates the new singer"....so they came together to put all those rumors to rest (that's why that fist bump before the solo is so epic). Same thing happened to Mushroomhead when J-Mann left and Waylon came in.

Different guys use different kinds of mics, but in the late 90s and early 00s, there was a huge thing of metal singers cupping the entire mic, and it gives it a different sound but it also kinda makes them sound like shit because it's not letting the microphone do its job of noise cancellation and all of that stuff. I see some rappers do that, too, and it kinda drives me nuts. But a thing about the unclean vocals is that usually the people aren't actually doing their vocals that loudly, or else they'll blow out their voices, and they rely on the equipment to bring it up to a level that can be heard over the music.
