The amount of stuff orisa can counter is insane, like this hero literally has stun and anti stun all in one

@@dazza2350 i think spear is fine (at least against squishies, her burst potential against squishies with spear is nuts), but fortifiy is ridiculous
i think either fortify needs to do less damage reduction, it needs a longer cooldown, or it needs to not have anti cc
@@Novafan As a GM tank main I specially switch Orisa to hard counter most other tanks and THIS is 100% what needs to happen. Imo fortify needs a 2 second longer cool down or 10% less damage reduction. Spear and spin are both in great spots but if you cycle spin you have 2 seconds of damage immunity, you can then hit fortify for 50% less damage for 5 seconds then spear spin again leaving a window of around 6-10 seconds to actually kill the horse. That's not even considering the spear throw or CD management.
I feel like it’s not any single ability being so good, but how well they cycle together with little to no down time
I love how all the tips vs tanks were "yeah just bully them they can't do shit against you".
Remember you can also stun Hog out of his healing, which is massive to win the fight.

@@cavelstone9545 Yep, Orisa is quite the toxic pick in my opinion, they should atleast nerf her in total mayhem, normal is not as bad, but still really annoying, maybe remove fortify for something else and then it would be okay... but being javelin spinned into corners and then they fortify so u cant move is not really fun or fair :P
ofc it all depends on positioning, but I think there is a few heros they should work a bit on so that they all are fun to play with and against, but no point saying what I think cause blizzard wont read any of my forum posts or tweets anyway :(
I like how the devs spent a lot of time and effort to remove most of the CCs from the game and then in the same breath created this version of orisa. She's a true menace.

I counterpick Zarya and immediately bully her. Beams go through her spin. (This applies to Sym and Echo as well.)
Oh, Sombra's probably great against her as well.
So idea behind overwatch 2 is to not let dps have too many cc. most tanks have some kind of cc when you think about it. there was too much cc in overwatch 1 and thats why tanks were suffering.
They wanted to make CCs exclusive to the tank role, with some exceptions (like Ana sleep, Sombra hack, Junkrat trap, Mei ult).
@@RacingSnails64 Best way to deal with a Zarya is to bait her in, spin her into your backline and pile on her. Her getting separated from her supports is the key to defeating her (and just powering through the shields).
This basically boils down to "Ignore them and wait until your teammates kill them" or "HUNT THEM DOWN AND RIP THEM APART" which really speaks to how broken Orisa is

@@Sebastian---pn7wgI mean Orisa can at least be countered by killing her supports first but hog just hooks a person and that’s the end of them. You can’t even go around hog since he can just hook with a giant hit box and such a long range too

The fact that they didn't realize doomfist needs to block CC with powerblock since beta blows my mind
I suspect it's due to his high mobility. Imagine if Orisa had high mobility AND fortify. It'd be next to impossible to pin her down. Zipping all over AND immovable on command.
I think allowing his block to block spear would be a nice tweak. She'd still shut him down on every other ability, but at least he retains some tankiness going up against her.

Just an idea for you karq, make a slight adjustment to these videos to include what each matchup wants to do to you so you can ensure you win each matchup by knowing what they're going for
but then you want to do something different depending on what they want to do so they now want to do something different etc
Wouldn't that just be the tip video for the other hero? E.g. what Doomfist wants to do against Orisa is covered in Doomfist's 1 tip video.
Situational context is a lot to cover when making content like this. The idea is to touch with a few tips to start thinking about applying to your gameplay while you are already trying to put together the nuances in the game.
Orisa has the equivalent of 1100 health with her armor/base health and fortify damage reduction, without counting the bonus Hp.
I dont play orisa but i always watch these videos to get an idea what tricks to expect

Zen can kick far so using fortify I believe prevents the knockback. Also, javelin spin when Winston's ult is situational if near cramp spaces can keep him in check. Sometimes in open spaces from my exp it's difficult for him to jump unless he tries to do so when not facing the spin.
i havent seen it anywhere yet but can you show the differences in orisa's ult when there is a change in elevation? If you jump, or drop down from a high spot, people will get pulled it upwards then back down

This video has really shown for me how overloaded Orisa’s kit is. She has a succ, stun and anti-stun all in her kit, which is not in and of itself an issue, but Orisa is feeling like pre-nerf Zarya whereby there is very limited windows of opportunity to kill Orisa when her abilities are on cool-down, and I think that window needs to be increased to be a longer cool-down on Javelin Spin (imo 7 -> 9 seconds), and a one second increase in the cool-down of her spear

Imo, javelin spinildoes too much. It damages targets, prevents all attacks and speeds her up. Feels like one ability should not be able to do all that with a short cooldown

Dont forget that her Javelin spin also displaces targets, meaning if she has a working brain if someone gets too close to her supports she just shoves them into a wall and spears them. Congrats, theyre now half health from the followup from your team.
There's basically nothing Orisa can't do except anti. Her kit has a slow, shield pierce, zoning potential, ranged stun, speed boost, damage reduction, headshot immunity, cc immunity, damage immunity, boop and consistent damage. Next patch they'll probably let her fly.

Also played since her release.
You can usually take out snipers by shooting a couple pellets followed by a spear and then more pellets
The whole cycle takes 2sec and if you hit everything on them then they die almost instantly
The spear has a slightly faster projectile speed than her bullets
So the reason you shoot a little first is so that the spear catches up and they all hit at the same time
The pellets you fire at the end is there to hit them when they are stunned from the spear hitting them
Bonus if there is a wall behind them
This requires a LOT of mechanical skill to pull off mostly because you have to quickly shoot at different angles simce the pellets travel in a straight line but her spear arc’s throu the air
An example is junker town first point.
You can snipe out any sniper thats sitting up above the entrance to the town from all the way back from the second overpass

another edit: TIP at 3:15 for hog you might not know. To kill hog in his ult you need to: jav spin, spear, fortify all while shooting him at the same time. Thats why I like playing against him lol
Spear I feel is too OP.
I feel one way to nerf it would be to remove the stun from hit and only have a stun if it collides into a wall.
The rest otherwise is fine.

as a suggestion against widow: this might not be the best for really high levels of play, but I play in plat/diamond, and most of the time if there's a widow, I can pressure her hard with javelin. if I dont have another preferred target, I like to toss spears at her to force her to heal. she's usually close to walls to, and sometimes you can catch the kill since in ranged duels with your teammates she seems to frequently push her luck regarding health
also for soldiers visor, if you can close the distance on him easily, sometimes you can just get in front of him with spin and fortify
spear widow, everyone moves up to new cover, spear widow again, then they switch hahaha
You can also dive the baby dva when she bombs with your ult for a quick kill

its surprising how many times I ult when an enemy zen ults and they stare at me while I wait for it to end and I kill them, I have gotten 3ks cus they don't realize orisa ult is instant dmg and can one shot ppl
@karq you missed one. Heros that can charge eg rein and Bob can be deflected at an angle with the spin when timed right. It is a great way to get enviros on certain maps or put Bob somewhere else.

@@willmcclard206 it's possible if you expect it or they are blind charging. Bob and rien are they two easiest to get because their windup are long and easily seen. Still hard but doable.

I mean you’re a tank… You’re supposed to protect your team… If you supports or dps gets slept you should stand over them and protect them. If they get shattered or slept take the pin for them because you’re more likely to live. These rules apply to all tanks.
