At his age being so wellspoken and charismatic, and it has never changed ever since. You just have to like him for his talent in acting as one of the best actors of this time.
He certainly is one of the best actors of this time.
At that age he worked with everyone is normal to be' more evolute than the guys of his age
。
Wow
he’s already 20 here, just looks younger
Amazing how this kid turned out to be 1 of the greatest actors on TV. 1 of my favorite actor's
I wish Letterman would shut up and let the kid get to the end of an anecdote.
@@pricklypear7516fr. But don’t call him kid, he was 20 after all.
@@leonardo.editzzzzz Yeah, but to an old woman like me, everybody under about 50 is "a kid."
that kid already did his best performances of his whole career
Leo gives zero craps about David's jokes.
😄😄😄😄😄😄
What jokes?
yeah, Leo was thinking "OK boomer" the whole time
@Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT I hate to break it to you, but it wasn't really funny
He kept interrupting Leo at the worst times. I'm a fan of Dave but man he irritating af during thus interview
This kid got potential
Maybe. We will see 🤣
He gonna die in a boat crash
He might even win an Oscar.
Potential.... thanks I didn't know. Really ????
Yea but I don’t think he’ll win an Oscar in 2016
Leonardo was great. If he wasn’t interrupted by his host so much, we would have enjoyed HIS humor that much more. He grew up to be a fantastic actor. Always enjoy his movies!!!!!
He is so bright, articulate and young. Incredibly talented actor.
@@LeonardoDiCaprio-iu5qjWtf? So cringe
I just realized how confident Leonardo was at that age. It actually buffles me.
Oh no. We don't want anyone getting buffled around here.
@@EobardFergusonlmao
@EobardFerguson. Buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo.
@@wordup897 🤣
most 20yr old are at that age. I've met 9yrs old with as much confidence. It's really not that shocking
Letterman made this interview so hard, he certainly didn't try to go easy on the young actor but Leo dealt pretty well with it... I don't think I could get through a story with so many interruptions, I’d have to make a joke to cover and move onto something else.
Totally agree. Leonardo handled the interruptions like a pro but you could see his frustration.
I realized how obnoxious and unfully Letterman was.
He's 20 years old here but looks 14
No lol
@@benedektoth3905 No to what? Being 20 or looking 14? The former is a fact. The latter is an opinion, but come on, you have to literally know no 14 year olds to deny he looks about that age.
People back then looked more like their age.
@@palingrokerijkay-denoever2362 I was saying he _doesn't_ look his age here.
Yeah I know.
And I meant people being 20 back then looked more like kids only 14 nowadayz.
Hard to believe how smart and articulate people were back in the day. This interview is a shining reflection of that.
It seems that now, there are a handful of "buzzwords" or key phrases that people refer to when comparing groups of people or values. This is just drunken rambling. Disregard.
@@Kryptospotted No I definitely think there's an element of truth to what you're saying.
@@anuragchakraborty8766 I hoped so. I wouldn't have said so otherwise. We should strive to have real conversations like this in all walks of life. At least that's the dream that I have.
With the invention of the internet, the speed of information grew out of control. We can only store so much information and sadly young people fill their heads with noise. Personally, I still see a lot of hope in my generation but that is coming from someone who studies philosophy. Well, I know a lot of people who have a genuine passion for knowledge and whose curiosity and fascination never wane.
People are statistically smarter today than ever before, it's just that people presented themselves this way
he has full of charisma
Leo's portrayal of the mentally disabled character Arnie Grape in What's Eating Gilbert Grape was one of the greatest performances in cinematic history. When I first saw it I thought they had actually hired a disabled kid for the role. I kept thinking "how did they get this kid to memorize his lines and perform on cue?" I was stunned when I found out he was just acting.
Wat. No. Y U exaggerated everything.
seemed like he was over acting in that
Not greater than Day Lewis in My Left Foot
@@Ahmad-Mounir44 The greatest was Sean Penn in I Am Sam. Brrrillliant !!!
@@cnam1258 All are brilliant of course but Daniel's acting as Christy Brown was phenomenal.
Leo was clearly uncomfortable with Letterman's "jokes"
Dave wouldn’t shut up and let him finish
More like, politely annoyed.
I’m so happy David letterman’s off TV, he was a total douche.
I think this kid is going to be a great actor in the future
Almost 50 years old now
Joke is old now we get it

As soon as i seen his goofy smile and his head scratch my heart melted. 🤍
What a range. He can even play teenagers.
lol true
he was 21 here
I wanna see him get high on heroin then try to play basketball, perhaps write a diary about it.
@@azz4441 he looks younger
His voice eyes face everything abiut him is hypnotic
That 90's hairstyle is totally back.
I can't stop smiling.
It's the fact he's still the same vibrant personality 25 years later
A me sembra un uomo triste adesso.
Leo loved the interview. He even says that he is kind of a smart ass. He is doing fine hanging out with David Letterman at the age.
What makes you think he loved it? Letterman was awful and Leo never returned to Letterman, he even stopped going to talkshows for a long while, pretty sure he hated it
He obviously didn't. Dave was acting the fool here and constantly interrupting, like an obnoxious drunk at a bad party. This was Dicaprio's final appearance on Letterman for a reason.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH hahahahahaha
bro kept cutting him off☠️
If this kid does acting in Hollywood
He might end up Winning A Oscar
Believe me, I see Potential in him.
Nah, don’t think he’ll ever make it in Hollywood…😅😂😂
Why are you posting this one month ago??????????
😂😂😂
I watched this so i could just stare and admire him for 6 minutes straight
Real(I did too)
Same here😊
Man, what a hilarious interview! Doesn't get any better.
Dave was still in Late Night mode here. He hadn't settled into his new show yet.
Dude was interrupting him after every word horrible host
There’s actually a bit more to the story of how Leo got his name: when his mother was pregnant with him, she was looking at a Leonardo de Vinci painting and that was the moment Leo first kicked.
Also, although Leo is part German and Italian, for some reason, he has said that he is “half Russian”
Depends if he lies or not
У него бабушка чистая русская
His granny was Russian, Smirnova .
جدته
Seems You know much more than Leo himself …
God I love him he's the cutest person ever
"I don't do my taxes. My mom does them for me"
5:40 the amount of embarrassment was just hilarious
Leo isn't a fan of David Letterman's comedy and that's ok
Who is a fan of being constantly interrupted?
No body can be a fan of letterman ..he is so damn irritating
@@khizeraftabalikhan9906not to mention he’s a dirty perv!
Dave was in "interruption mode" for a moment there.
He was star struck and overcompensating to appear dominant.

He is a so respectful when if was hard to this is man ❤

For how long have you been my fan?
long time! haha
@@OriginalStevenTyler Yeah right, get lost wanna be leonardo Di Caprio
He doesn't seem nervous to me.
when I first moved to Hollywood Hills in '94 I would jog in the mornings and very often Leo would ride past me on an old banana bike on his way back from the AFI center. good time to be living here then.
Leo always charming!
He still makes me swoon.
This kid gona win an Oscar some day!
He was/is just pffff 😍
This guy knew more of life at the time than i will being 90 or something
The best actor for me👏❤️
I am a 21 y/o guy and damn that's a handsome young confident and charismatic young guy for sure.
Leo was a cutie pie back then.
Dave made this hard as possible for Leo. I can feel the exhausting just watching
You can tell that Letterman was starting to frustrate him with his taunts and interrupting. But he handled it very well.
Leo remains the Best of them all
Damn dave is really havin fun messin with him in the first 10 seconds lol
Thanks for uploading again, Letterman you're the man!
Great talent since he was young respect 🫡
I know it's an old joke but it still baffles me to know that Leonardo DiCaprio is neither a leo nor capricorn but scorpio. 💀
An early movie that Leo was in is “The Basketball Diaries “. He is absolutely brilliant in it.
He is so handsome 😍
Damn, he was beautiful!

There’s not much difference in looks between 17 and 21
He was not 21 at this interview he was 20
If you looked at the aired date he's actually 20 here not 21.

After Titanic,

Leo can’t get any adorable 🤷♀️😻
I like this actor, may God bless him
He will become a great star in future
Leo looks young but looking at letterman I realised just how old this video must be. Congrats on having a successful show for this long (from a euro guy only ever seeing bits of it on RUclips)
“This Boys Life” is my favourite Leo movie 👍🏼 such a great movie
His Robert Deniro impersonation is great 😅

Wow loved the interview
This was the last year he dated women his own age.
No wonder Leo never guested on Dave since... he seemed unamused by Letterman's style 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Letterman always sounded condescending to his guests. That said he doesn't do a lot of late night...
Letterman is really annoying 😩
As he should have been. Dave was obnoxious and unfunny.
Was waiting for Leo to reach over and slap Dave

Leo was very nervous and David did not make it any easier by his way of interrupting and asking questions 😂😂
Trust me he wasn't nervous. He just wanted to be the center of attention and didn't like Dave topping him 😅
He's gorgeous
I have held for years that Leo should have won the Oscar for 'Gilbert Grape'. Hollywood usually discovers talent and then can't make heads or tails out of it.
Jones deserve it
Dave doesn't let him talk
Aww, teenage me is blushing ☺️
River Phoenix was such a great actor
Still baffles me he didn't get an Oscar for titanic.😂
He was my first Love 🫠✨
This dude is so classy and dynamic at such a young age. IT's cool how you see his real personality come out here. And Hollywood didn't figure out how to use it till Scorcese showed up
That being said, I'm pretty sure every dude grew up hating the guy because of Titanic, and ended up loving him after Wolf of Wall Street. Can I get an amen?
You can totally tell how much Leo despises being interrupted. I can't say I blame him.
Always so good looking!
