You could have used a skill saw or multi tool to cut the plywood just outside the window frame so you wouldn't have to take off as much siding. Then just put a piece of the hole where the window was. Would have saved work and materials.
With everything that this property has thrown at you negatively and you’re still here kicking butt and taking names keep doing you, Isaac you’re killing it. This will be one heck of a conversation and that’s no joke. You’re on the backstretch and the checkered flag is waving. Have a nice day 👍
Not sure of the order or your codes, however a simpler way would have been to leave the window in place and framed it from the inside. Insulate it and fog the widow so not to see the insulation from the outside, and drywalled it up on the inside. Best of luck with future endeavors. Good job!
If they didn’t tell you to remove that side wall, don’t remove it. My 2 cents of advice. That looks like retention walls behind there, so it may have been placed there for a good reason. You’re doing a great job! ✌️❤️🛠️
If you only cut 3 inch around the window you would have save yourself so much time and energy. Ask your subscribers before you attempt the next project
Good progress. I am surprised that the past owner didn’t wrap the house with tyvex before he put the siding on. Helps with insulation and weather proofing
Isaac all you had to do was take a circle saw and cut two inches around the entire window. Set your saw to the correct depth so you DONT cut too deep. Once you cut around the window you can pull off the two inches of siding rather than pull off entire sheets. Remove nails on the window lip and window will come out from the outside. Doing it this way will prevent you from buying all new siding sheets.
Love your work of burning stove. Every human being, no matter the task, has to start at the unknown until tackling the project… you’re doing absolutely great.
When this is all behind you, it can be the great relief. So hang in there get it done with, and behind you. Happy Thanksgiving to your family and you!!❤
Nothing is ever easy, is it? I feel nothing but admiration for you; you continue to have the best attitude, no matter what you run into. Just wish I could do something more to help. I'll continue to watch and comment. The only thing I can do that will really impact anything is pray, and I'll definitely do that.
you're pretty smart cuz for someone thats NEVER done this type of work you figured out that the window was actually nailed under that siding. you'll be just fine. i just know it!
Acknowledge code variances but my stomach turned on framing yet framing around window appears good. Window looks like Rent-An-Office Trailer window...single pane, thin glass...not residential. Got no idea what that "little wing structure" extending and attached to cornor of garage is. Strange. Purpose? Guess ur best contest? 😮...A Home for Flat Pigeons? Toilet Paper Storage...with this one wall for privacy? An enlarged casing for The Bat Phone? Storage for previous owners pillow and blanket for when his wife throws him out of the house?!!😅😅 Let us know Isaac!
You guys have a great Thanksgiving week. Keep it up , I wish you would have asked for help to take out the window . Just think you will be at the end of it . What a Christmas present for you and family. Wait until the next year for the legal issue. Enjoy your family first.
I would aw, do a quick short video, ask your audience how they would do it and go from there especially since i dont know a lot about construction, or in this case, demolition.
Some people think you should have sawzalled, but to keep the value of your home up, I think replacing the 2 pieces of plywood is the best decision!!!😊🎉❤
O My Goodness!!! Lots of advice on what to do etc....Lil ole me just watching, liking and commenting in order to support your channel. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving Dinner etc....Best always...from BC
Take a Skil saw use the one and ahalf inch side of the shoe that’s next to the blade let it rest on the window frame on the outside and cut that siding out all the way around take the Strips of siding out and it will expose the mounting nails
I am giving thanks this Thanksgiving that the end of this house mess may be insight and that you and Jaylena had the health and strength to fight thru this battle. Happy Thanksgiving Isaac, Jaylena and Lil Ember Wild. 🦃

Damn it son ? You a front man ! Hire a crew to bang ! So you can sang !!! Hell yea ! In my circle , you are known as the melody man ! Rock to fu$k on little brother we await your return
I would have used a sawzaw too...however, I have not been through this nightmare. If I had been through all these crazy code issues I probably would be so hyerfocused to get it just so in order for no more problems that I would over think what needed to be done! Great job Isaac! You never seem to shy away from any task. Also, awesome shout out to JAYLENA🎉🎉🎉
Issac, not sure you'll get this in time...but don't try to take the whole sheet off! Don't you have circular saw ie: a SKILL saw? You can adjust the depth of the cut and just cut straight up along the edge toward the top...can you see that and try that? NEVERMIND! Someone just said that already. Take J's advice, not mine. Lmao
I don't think the plywood wall means anything other than somebody didn't know how to tie the stacked brick wall into the garage space gracefully, decided to just hide it. Seems like extra work, for almost no benefit. Almost done😉👍
Anyway, man, anytime you build something on your property the first go round yeah you need a building permit, but if you’re tearing it out and replacing it, you don’t need no damn engineer coming out telling you what you can do on your property I’ve never heard such
I think you need to research things to help you in the future. That one wall I believe is a retaining wall to keep the hill from coming down. Blessings
How can a person be such a awesome bus builder...but so clumsy when it comes to houses...dude. you do the same... when you're building a bus.... hell.. go to..RUclips...stop the pity party...just being honest.
They built the wall there as a retaining wall. You got a cliff behind it. You probably could've gotten under that end with a chisel to separate the corners
You could have used a skill saw or multi tool to cut the plywood just outside the window frame so you wouldn't have to take off as much siding. Then just put a piece of the hole where the window was. Would have saved work and materials.
Exactly. A few have expressed the same. -- And The Inspector will express much more.
With everything that this property has thrown at you negatively and you’re still here kicking butt and taking names keep doing you, Isaac you’re killing it. This will be one heck of a conversation and that’s no joke. You’re on the backstretch and the checkered flag is waving. Have a nice day 👍
Take heart Isaac … this will all soon be behind you! ❤
Not sure of the order or your codes, however a simpler way would have been to leave the window in place and framed it from the inside. Insulate it and fog the widow so not to see the insulation from the outside, and drywalled it up on the inside. Best of luck with future endeavors. Good job!
At least you can get going with it now bro. Stay safe and HAPPY THANKS GIVING to all you Americans in here
Happy Thanksgiving to you too Paul
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 Paul

Your advise is now worth 0 cent.
Go play with your Lincoln Logs.
If you only cut 3 inch around the window you would have save yourself so much time and energy. Ask your subscribers before you attempt the next project
Good progress. I am surprised that the past owner didn’t wrap the house with tyvex before he put the siding on. Helps with insulation and weather proofing
Look at you go! Such a handy man! Great Job! So glad this is finally coming to an end for you.
That is a retaining wall to keep the hill from coiming down onto the garage...I guess!
😂😂😂😂😂
Isaac all you had to do was take a circle saw and cut two inches around the entire window. Set your saw to the correct depth so you DONT cut too deep. And set the saw to the thickness of the plywood.
I was just going to comment the same thing....
Oh nifty!!
exactly!!! He is creating way more unnecessary work for himself 😞
You're terrific, Isaac! You made a lot of progress towards your goal. Hang in there!
Plus, turning stuff out that’s perfectly good that don’t make no sense and now you gotta put all that wood back. That’s a lot of stuff.
Wow - you’re in the thick of the repairs. Won’t be long & it will be complete. Thx for sharing. Blessings ❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Love your work of burning stove. Every human being, no matter the task, has to start at the unknown until tackling the project… you’re doing absolutely great.
Honey, your philosophy pertains only to arts and crafts. In reality, Construction is more than the Lincoln Logs ...that you never owned.
When this is all behind you, it can be the great relief. So hang in there get it done with, and behind you. Happy Thanksgiving to your family and you!!❤
So glad to see you able to get everything done you sure hang in there proud of you

you're pretty smart cuz for someone thats NEVER done this type of work you figured out that the window was actually nailed under that siding. you'll be just fine. i just know it!
Youre getting there, Isaac. Keep on pluggin on 😊
As usual, great job. You increase the value of the property. 🥰
😂😂😂😂 LOL!
Nooooooo! Just cut around the window😂. Been there, done that
Issaic seems to idolize Frank Sinatra outside of his bus building.
Issac you got some different codes where you are. I don't know about the side walls but that window looked correct to me. (I'm not an inspector 😊)
Acknowledge code variances but my stomach turned on framing yet framing around window appears good. Window looks like Rent-An-Office Trailer window...single pane, thin glass...not residential.

You got this Isaac! 👊🏻👏🏻
Could have used the skill saw around the window, maybe 6 inches around it. And I would give you an idea of what's behind it.
Remember, "Bob The Builder"?!!😂😂😂😂😂 18:53
Did you by siding to put back up. That insulation will mold if it gets wet.
I would aw, do a quick short video, ask your audience how they would do it and go from there especially since i dont know a lot about construction, or in this case, demolition.
Good job.. forget the haters
Yes!
Some people think you should have sawzalled, but to keep the value of your home up, I think replacing the 2 pieces of plywood is the best decision!!!😊🎉❤
Not true , a repair does not effect property value if done correctly -water tight .
@chandrasutton4669 : I'll ask Santa to bring you Lincoln Logs.
I'm curious about the window. Why did they make you remove it?
O My Goodness!!! Lots of advice on what to do etc....Lil ole me just watching, liking and commenting in order to support your channel. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving Dinner etc....Best always...from BC
Same!!!!

You got this!! Wishing you and beautiful family a Happy Thanksgiving
I am giving thanks this Thanksgiving that the end of this house mess may be insight and that you and Jaylena had the health and strength to fight thru this battle. Happy Thanksgiving Isaac, Jaylena and Lil Ember Wild. 🦃
Looks like a retaining wall to haul that dirt up there
Yes...that was a black widow! YIKES! We get them everywhere here in Southern Oregon. So glad you're able to get started!
Hopefully you covered the insulation so it doesn’t get wet. Don’t want mold.
On your replacement plywood, prepaint it inside. Then you can nail it up and then touch up the nails later.
Needs to be sealed
Issac, you can move forward now and I'm happy for you. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Jaylena and precious Ember.
I love your nonchalant shout out to Jaylenas page!
🎉🎉yes!!!
I love the comments " you shoulda done this or that AFTER he does it! Why do you bother? Hes doin just fine.

Dang all you needed to do was sawzaw around the window
Yep! Work smarter not harder!
Yup like moving 3 pieces of firewood at a time - get the darn wagon and fill it

I have one question why the hell are you tearing out a damn window that looks perfectly good. Come on now just for content.

So Excited for you!!
You better get that engineer change approved first!!!! By the county before you do it - have you not learned anything in this process???
Isaac!!! You're so close now!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
🙏❤️🙏❤️
Sending prayers!
I don’t get why that one window needs to be removed
I don't think he said in the last video either, just that it need to be all wall.
He said in previous video it wasn’t structural sound
structural integrity
What about the other two windows we see to the left they look the same???
Who would have thunk removing a window would be such a pain????
That little wall looked like a good place to hang garden tools
U got this
I don't think the plywood wall means anything other than somebody didn't know how to tie the stacked brick wall into the garage space gracefully, decided to just hide it. Seems like extra work, for almost no benefit. Almost done😉👍
I no it is going to be hard work.😊👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Looking good
Happy Thanksgiving to the three of you.we love you
Anyway, man, anytime you build something on your property the first go round yeah you need a building permit, but if you’re tearing it out and replacing it, you don’t need no damn engineer coming out telling you what you can do on your property I’ve never heard such
Was you not able to cut away the chalking? He probably glued it too.
❤❤
Yup thats a black widow for sure. Ive found several around my homeplace. Just gotta watch for em.
Imagine the wall was there to keep stuff from falling down behind there all you could use it as a bathroom back there and go back and take a piss
In my opion I don't see what the problem is with the way the window was installed the studs and the header looks right but I am not an inspector.
I think you need to research things to help you in the future. That one wall I believe is a retaining wall to keep the hill from coming down. Blessings
Maybe just a retainer wall because of the hill behind it , I'm just guessing.. lol
Does the window being too close to the wood stove resort to it being removed?
God bless you Isaac!
Happy thanksgiving to you all ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
So glad things are going good!😀😀❤️👍🏼🙏

I must have missed it. Why does that window have to come out to be in code?

Goodness me; hoping you get eveything done before your first snow.
You're doing a good job Isaac keep the good work going you're awesome
Yep
They built the wall there as a retaining wall. You got a cliff behind it. You probably could've gotten under that end with a chisel to separate the corners
