- Sacramento Valley Live Steamers 2024 Spring Meet was great with lots of trains and attendees. Featured in this video is Chris Smith's 250T crane lifting several locomotives, my 1.5" scale 4.75" gauge Hawaiian narrow gauge LE 0-4-0 "Prince Kuhio", my Iron Pony flat drive F7, and some of my 1" scale scratchbuilt cars.
I love the crane... some very nice looking locos there and lots of people having good fun.
I think the guy with the crane had the most fun
There HAS to be a train video game where you're linking up routes and shipping stuff around, but it's all in a big park with toy trains, and dudes are riding the trains around like in this video.
Derail Valley is about as close of a game to what you are looking for
Awesome crane in that scale!
Awesome crane model!
Love the Daylight as well ❤❤
Yeah that crane is just incredible. That is a job well done.
I would do anything for the crane model lol
Grew up in Rancho, been watching since they started laying the first track. I have always admired the trains and their builders. There is just something about iron and steam.
One day I'll build one of those steam locomotives.
A worthy goal - may it happen!
That GP9 with all the rolling stock was awesome. The shay was neat! Hagan community park?
Yep, SVLS is located at Hagan Community Park in Rancho Cordova, CA.
I admire everyone’s machining and fabrication skills. I wish I had the ability to do that!
Anyone can do it if you have the will to do it and set aside the time to learn/gradually build up a shop with tools. Ten years ago I *never* would've thought I'd be able to become a train builder - now I build entire locomotives and cars from scratch.
Love the Shay!
Is that GS-4 or GS-5 Daylight?
GS-4 black edition
That’s my fathers engine. It is a GS4. Still in the works but will be painted daylight colors once it’s finished.
1:23 Oh yes my favorite Railroad, The JACKASS AND WESTERN.
I think that was an actual railroad
@@F40M07 It’s obviously not a real railroad because that’s a dumb fucking name.
@@F40M07???idk what your talking about
If I recall, it was real to an extent. There was/is a locomotive with that road name at the Nevada Southern Railroad Museum, but it was supposedly a joke name spawned by the operators.
I honestly forgot a lot of the story, so if this doesn't sound right, feel free to correct me.
@@MadGreek2900yes the JA&W there was a town called jackass and they used this train to named it Jackass and western
looks like it was a great meet
Prince Kuhio has the puffing sound of a galloping horse: a rather pleasing sound at that.
Great video brother!
I was there year ago
Great stuff, . . . .
Sacramento valle y me gusto mucho el video
I think the GS-4 was getting lifted up because it probably derailed
Love the little 0-4-0! Does that 4-10-2 actually have 3 cylinders?
Het blijven jongens. Bijzonder leuke hobby !
2:34 that is a very unique one, very nice.
Is that "William Land Park"?
Hagan community park
The mallet at 3:45 looks like Ken Schroeder's locomotive
Steam, steel, and smiles!
was that a gs4 or a gs5 in the beginning?
That’s my father’s engine. It is a GS4.
I'd damn near give almost anything to buy that SP GS-1, numer 4403. That's just Chap my buddy's ass!! I doubt it, but think he'd ever sell it maybe?
The Prince Kuhio w Hawaiian flag seems out of place - but awesome!
Crane :>
