Nice work! Thanks for the hints and tips to alter cards and make proxies. Also thanks for the Ninja card that came with the Etsy purchase. Eager to see more of this type of content.
@@rubenrebenz1000 Ah, that makes sense. I actually just got some more tokens and proxies made. If you send me a message on Etsy I'll send some out for you :)
how do you add shines to cards. i have big problem, cuz i foil entire deck, but dust to dust never relese as foil so i try acrylic paint at empty foil card, but is not that thin, so maybe add some shines could made the work?
Of course! Glad you liked the video. I don't know how deep I'll get into the acrylic alters...there's honestly never enough time for all the creative stuff I want to do, but we'll see. It's been a lot of fun getting back into painting though :)
Damn, that is some chill lofi intro music. Nice choice. Sets a chill mood for the video. I am enjoying the gold lotus petal, added it to the front of my "primary binder"...but then I changed my mind and added it to my main EDH deck. -Stan
Thanks Stan! It's called 'Drifting Apart' by Milano if you want to look it up. One of my favorite songs to use for videos. That's awesome, who's the Commander for your EDH deck?
Hi there, I ask You an info about your gold lotus petal. Do You fell on touch any thickness difference when you sleeve it, compared to the other non altered cards in your deck?
Some tips: * Q tips are amazing. Use them. But don't reuse dirty ones. * Not all paints stick to cards well. And not all cards are the same. Many print runs are harder to paint than others * Use an easel if you have it. If you dont, put blue masking tape on the back of the card to elevate it. This keeps paint off the back. * If you do get paint on the back use Q tips to get it off. Wet one end and wipe, then use the dry end to dry it.
I draw on the computer, and was thinking about making the alter in photoshop, then printing it out, and slipping it in the sleeve in front of the real card. Anyone done this before? What where people's reaction at the local game store?
Hopefully it doesn't happen to you but had my etsy store banned recently for copyright of MTG cards, seems Hasbro is cracking down on anything to do with MTG alters/proxies. I mainly focused on anime full arts so maybe with the new set coming out being anime art style, even used non mtg mana symbols and different text for proxies. Love the alters you have done btw.
Thanks! That’s strange. If there were no copyrighted items on the cards (mana symbols, borders, artwork, fonts, etc.) then they can’t really have a problem with it.
@@TheNinjaTCG I guess using MTG or magic the gathering as tags was the issue not really sure but kind of sucks. Was a nice side business while it lasted.
@@TheNinjaTCG Plus in the past couple of months I've noticed some other people getting listings removed or fully banned like myself cause there used to be over 100k listings for mtg proxies/alters now around 20k.

@@Xarner No I would say there is no thickness difference. Unless someone is really scrutinising it.

Most players are ok with it
i know this is 11 months later but that water color painting reminds me of Rubinia Soulsinger
Oh, you're right! I had to go back and look at the original artwork. Looks like the one from Legends!
@@TheNinjaTCG yup. i use to have that card and i instantly thought soulsinger from the video
