I've actually just bought this and thought I'd look on RUclips to see how other people had set theirs up - your video was *so* helpful! Really great tip about removing a bit of the arm of the monitor - my desk is the same (not very wide) width as yours, so I'll definitely be doing that :) Thanks so much for the video!
I was actually think about the distance between the monitor and laptop and thanks a lot you mentioned that you can take a piece off it where the monitor is to bring them closer
here sending my full support to you, and thank you for this content of your video, i learn a lot and i can get some ideas from this video, yes i am new in youtube, but i need to know more and i need to learn some ideas, and now I'm here sending my full support to you thank you and God Bless
Hellooooo! I think you'd be totally fine. I used it with a 16" mac pro for a bit and it weighs around 3kg. the 17.5" might pop over the edges of the tray a little but it'll be barely noticable in my opinion. Let me know how you get on.
Great vid i bought myself one after watching. I’m actually currently trying to make one of the arms shorter and the allen key bolt isn’t budging. Ive put soo much force into one that it ended up being stripped, and the other I’ve even tried using an impact driver and a hex bit. Did you have any sort of trouble or got any tips to loosen them? Specifically the screw that attaches the arm to the pole(the others are fine)
Hey Jamie, definitely don’t force anything. You don’t want the bolt stripping as getting a replacement would be annoying. Have you made sure you have an Allen key at both ends of the bolt?
Thanks for the great video! Quick question, I am trying to remove one of the arms for the monitor and It's impossible with the tools that came with the kit, did you use another tool by any chance?! thanks in advance!
Hello i just got this and some other gear for my setup! Thanks for the good review, its a good video! I have 1 question, how do i rotate the monitor mount part so i can have the monitor vertical ect. My monitor is half a centemeter wonkey on it, and i need to rotate it slightly, but i cant figure it out.
Hey Joel ... it should be ready to rotate. This might sound silly but ... I just use my hands and rotate the monitor clockwise. It doesn't need any adjusting of nuts and bolts etc.
🤷🏼♂️ Try using something to add a little resistance maybe? Like a roll of tape around the main support and tighter the arm either immediately above or around that? That would give a little more resistance so it won’t drop down anymore.
Very! Actually had to buy it a second time after selling it off when we moved away. Now we’re in a new house m, bought a new one and set it up exactly the same.
Hi, Rich: can one actually TYPE on the Laptop with this system (I don't have a separate keyboard and just use my laptop)? Or maybe are laptop trays just meant to view the laptop monitor? Thanks from Canada~!
Hey! You can still type on your laptop with this set-up, but it won’t be very comfortable for your wrists and elbows. I would definitely suggest combining this with a desperate keyboard.
Are there any videos showing the full setup? These videos say Setup but then show 10 seconds of it and do not show how to setup the damn thing. Pretty useless videos.
Really good idea for the Velcro and attaching the external drive never thought about that.

Hi Adrian, hope you’re well!
Thanks so much for checking out the video. Glad you found it useful!
I am looking to buy this laptop/monitor mount and so happy you reviewed it. I think there's only one other video but this was very helpful, thank you!
Thanks Vince! Glad I could help :)

Yeah, exactly.
Thanks for checking in everyone, what do you reckon? Still more I could do?
Just brought it, its a great monitor arm thanks!
Awesome stuff Mello!! Hope it treats you well ✌🏼
Great video! Just ordered one of these too. One advice I’d give to free up even more space on the desk would be an under desk keyboard tray.
Cheers man 🙌 good tip too!

Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏼 All the best with your channel 🤘🏼
Thanks for helping me man.
Anytime 🙏🏼
You have the same IKEA table that I have 😅. So, your review fits perfect to me and gives me an idea what I'll have with this stand. Thank you!! ❤
A match made in heaven!
@@RichMaciverPhoto 😂absolutely
good review bro. im just about to buy one. only one advice, make a one-two sec break with transitions of the audio :)
I like it the way it is. A 2 second gap in audio sounds like eternity.
Great review keep going man :):):)
Thanks Nik
Fellow Scotsman here. Wondering would the laptop tray comfortably handle a 17.5inch 2.5kg laptop?

I was only able to get one out, I stripped the other arms screw trying to get it out.

Oh maybe I used my own set of allen keys? I can’t quite remember! Good luck, let me know how you get on.
How much further can you pull the monitor close to you? Looking for something that I can push to the back of my desk and all the way forward.
Hi Richey, I could pull it all the way towards my face if I wanted.
My unit arrived today and I'm struggling to take of the arms off to make shorter any ideas
Have you got a set of Allen keys?

@@RichMaciverPhoto oh ok, i couldnt get it to rotate. Must be me being silly and that its just stiff ahaha
I have a 23.4 inch koouri monitor that supports 75x75 ves. When i tighten all of the screws, my monitor keeps dropping down. Can u please help

back of my monitor does not have the 4 holes to attach the stand. is that means I need to buy a new monitor? thx
HI Rhee, there's different types of mounts and it sounds like this one doesn't fit your monitor.
You might be able to get a mount converter.
Can you move the laptop tray/arm or does that not move?
Yup, it moves around freely.
Are both arms the same length? could you please tell me the measures? thanks
Hey, I think they’re about the same length but I can’t exactly remember to be honest.
Still happy with it?
Very! Actually had to buy it a second time after selling it off when we moved away. Now we’re in a new house m, bought a new one and set it up exactly the same.

Watch this for leveling the laptop tray: ruclips.net/video/MR_q3oBJT_Q/видео.html
This is actually super handy!! Thanks Michael.

Sorry you never got what you were after dude. You can pause it at 09:09 for a full view. Hope that helps.
