I spent 17 years looking for this song... I just listen this song once or twice when I was 13 or 14 old and just remembered the harmonica (I didn't speak English). Very times I looked for it, tonight I finally find and worthed effort ... Beautifull song, Thanks for the post!!

Diego Farías absolutely agreed! I just found out this gem! It’s beautiful, sweet, but melancholic and a with a little desperation and regrets as well. It’s lightly, but makes me feel a little sad and nostalgic. Listening with no-stopping in 2018.

I fell in love with a French girl in university, she had a steady boyfriend, we became really good friends and had a great 4 months but then she had to return to France.Before she left, she gave me her journal so that I can write her a farewell note, I wrote the lyrics of this song.She had already understood that I had so desperately fallen in love with her but these lyrics were my official love confession. After she left I couldn't listen to this song for a long time.Now whenever I listen to this I feel this warm gratitude and mellow familiarity filled with nostalgia.

Almost 20 years later i'm listening to it again and i am amazed at the amazing production, the lyrics and general beautiful musicianship. Man the Cardigans were really amazing. When PASTE magazine was still available they had a CD inside. It was about $10 back then off the shelf. There were a lot of songs/bands on the CD. This was one of them. Love her ending vocal.
