She had ONE glass of wine in France to celebrate. So back in the early to mid 70’s she called and my mom answered the phone. She finally blurted out: “Your GRANDMOTHER wants to know if you’re creaming your jeans waiting for Tom Jones!” My jaw DROPPED. I said I would figure it all out AFTER Tom Jones performed. A great cover! Not an imitation, genuinely make the song their own.
So that's what David Byrne was singing.
Never knew this took place. For a collaboration which probably began with the sentence "hey, wouldn't it be hilarious if...", this is surprisingly watchable.
I can't conceive this song without their voices...it's perfect
Tom Jones.. On one day he saves Earth from an alien invasion, on another day he reappears on RUclips to burn down the House.. LEGEND.

Felix Brown he's even before my time! And Im 56. My mom loved him and all those 70s housewives.but I didn't when I was a kid but by the time I was 18, I loved his soulful strong voice.
The handmaids tale season 2 episode 13
Never knew that Tom Jones and The Cardigans did a version of this song - much less that they collaborated.
