At first I wanted to ask you what chords you disagreed with. Then I continued watching and hear/saw them, myself. ;-) Found at three changes right off the bat that didn‘t sound right to me, for example, the F# in the intro lick should actually be an F#m (though, to be fair, all he‘s showing is playing the F# bass, but if anyone slips up a bit, they‘d better be fingering a F#m and not a F#, else it will sound off). I could go on, but don‘t want to clutter the channel with my „holier-than-thou“ input. ;-) Just wanted to agree with you on this.

David, thanks for this instructional video. Here is my intro part of the song, which is a bit different than yours. Let me know what you think of it. 5 open notes on “A”. First 4 notes on “A” are fast (down, up, down up). After the 4th note, pause a second. Hit “A” once again. (Again, so far, all “A” notes are open) “E” note on the 4th fret “A” note on the 4th fret And I have a question for you. When you play the intro, you hold down the G chord. But why though? The 5th and the 6th strings are okay to hold down, but the first string has no place in the intro.

Yes, you are right that you play just the low E-string G note but I like holding down the chord in case I hit a few extraneous notes and I guess it is just part of my playing that often when I arpegiate notes I usually finger the whole chord. Just the way I do it I guess. There are many different ways to play it and I try to come up with solo versions that most people can grab onto and cop the feel of the song quickly but still carry the accuracy and authenticity of the original version - hope that makes sense. Like I said there are many ways to go about it. The way you listed it out is fine too - you want to find what sounds best to your ears as well as what is most comfortable for you to play. The G to Bmin in the verse should actually be D major and A major. The recording plays E major & B major. The B major also has an F# in the bass.
