Hibiscus palm and elixir pour femme are on my list for summer! I have the travel size of elixir currently. One of my favorite fruity fragrance of all time! Thank you for introducing me to Scherzo and jazmine Sambac. Bought these based on your recommendation! Gorgeous fragrances! You must try midnight Jasmine by Pearlescent. It’s a deep boozy honeyed plummy Jasmine which is SO unique! I think the bottle design is also right up your alley. We both have a love of gorgeous presentation as much as the fragrance I feel lol!

I once put on the Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold at the Heathrow (London) duty free shops, got on a plane to San Francisco, and could still smell it when I was leaving the airport (13+ hours later)!!!
I've got 3 that I've gotten great compliments from: My current signatures, Prada Luna Rossa (original) and La Femme, both get me a lot of "wow you smell really good" comments. Another, and kinda shocking, is CK Obsession. I'll chalk this one up to it playing nicely with my body chemistry, it's very 90s but with my body turning most things to syrup its sharpness seems to round out. I don't find that I like it on other people and I've had people be surprised when I told them. My next up purchase is going to be Kalemat by Arabian Oud. Knowing the notes my skin tends to eat and the ones it tends to crank to 11 I think it will be a solid pick and I hear it's a compliment monster so I'm quite excited.
I had to click when I saw an Aerin there as I've routinely found them expensive under performers. I haven't had that experience with Jasmine Sambac though I love the scent.
On your recommendation, I have purchased Hibiscus Palm, Lune Féline, Gris Charnel and I could be happier. ( not to mention Rouge Malachite, Santal Blond, and the Black Orchid which I used to not stand, but somehow in recent months I can see it in a whole new light). Just AMAZING! Cannot thank you enough. I also bought Scertzo… blindly bc it’s not sold in the US, so I found a site in Italy and took the plunge. To me, it is so oud dominant, and the florals are so screechy, along the lines of Delina, which I hate with a passion. So, it’s sitting on a shelf for now, I will revisit in the fall and see if my nose wants to make friends. I also bought Cuir Curcuma after watching your Affinessence video and I love it to death. Planning to buy Santal Basmati, my sample is almost out. Watching your part 2, I was surprised to see a Glossier scent. My daughter bought it, and I thought it was florally pleasant, but now I want one for myself. I did not know that person to person, it shows up differently on skin. Pretty cool. Roja….. thé sample blew me away and I decided to get the extrait version as I struggle with scent longevity on my skin in general so lighter versions disappear on me very quickly. But man, what a gorgeous scent! Worth every penny. I have my wedding anniversary coming up in June and that’s what I expect to get 😂😂😂😂

No no not smoky like incense (I really dislike this note and only on occasion like fragrances with it). By the fireplace is smoked wood in a similar way to by the fireplace 😊

Ahh my bad, clearly my head was elsewhere... The thumbnail is now updated. And yes the few times I've worn Parisian Musc I've been told I smell good :D Another great one is Musc Noir from Narciso Rodriguez, that one I've received even more compliments on. The only drawback is the poor longevity.

I want to tell you how much I appreciate all of the wonderful videos. I had been out of the perfume world for more than ten years! I am only 37, but I guess I let myself go after having kiddos. Argh! Anyway, because of your reviews, I ended up ordering the MfK Baccarat Rouge 540 set of mini sprays with the gold case. I got it today. I have also ordered various discovery kits from other houses you’ve mentioned. It’s so funny how I can now appreciate the difference of niche vs designer. This is a fun new hobby, and I can’t thank you enough for your honest reviews.
@@jusderose you need to backlight the shots where the perfume is spraying with a hard light source, like a spotlight or the particles don't pick up the light from the camera's POV. And if you have the room, move yourself and the camera further away from the backdrop :)
@@jusderose You have more room than me, trust me. The room I film in is MINISCULE. Tough to get the look I would ideally want but we make the most of what we've got for now.

Tabit by Tiziana Terenzi smells similar to Scherzo to me, it's just a bit more fruity and bold! The bottle and packaging is also unbelievably opulent.

Ahh my bad, clearly my head was elsewhere... The thumbnail is now updated. And yes the few times I've worn Parisian Musc I've been told I smell good :D Another great one is Musc Noir from Narciso Rodriguez, that one I've received even more compliments on. The only drawback is the poor longevity.

I want to tell you how much I appreciate all of the wonderful videos. I had been out of the perfume world for more than ten years! I am only 37, but I guess I let myself go after having kiddos. Argh! Anyway, because of your reviews, I ended up ordering the MfK Baccarat Rouge 540 set of mini sprays with the gold case. I got it today. I have also ordered various discovery kits from other houses you’ve mentioned. It’s so funny how I can now appreciate the difference of niche vs designer. This is a fun new hobby, and I can’t thank you enough for your honest reviews.

@@jusderose you need to backlight the shots where the perfume is spraying with a hard light source, like a spotlight or the particles don't pick up the light from the camera's POV. And if you have the room, move yourself and the camera further away from the backdrop :)
