Angela, I just discovered your channel and I am so inspired!!! You are just a ball of energy. I’m getting ready to make my first real quilt soon, and I’m almost 70 years old! My mom was a quilter and I have been sewing all my life but this will be my first attempt at a quilt. Thanks for the inspiration
Quilting is one of the best things to do with a daughter....this one was one of the best shows!!! Your daughter is a doll and I bet you are beyond proud of her!! My daughter and I started quilting when she was 18 years old and we have had a blast!! Now she does crazy stuff for comicon!!! Awwww this was great...thank you!!!
I love how simple you made it all sound! and the interaction was so sweet. Next time I get hit with insomnia I won't be as stressed when I know that I could be creating something unique and personal as a gift (or for me!)

They filmed me squealing with excitement while I set up 3 sewing machines, 3 ironing stations & the design wall. It’s such an awesome feeling when your children want to sew with you!! This so much how it goes at my house trying to teach my two teens how to quilt! My oldest completed a quilt for her best friends birthday this year , (she actually gave it her her ) her friend loves it! My daughter is now completely bit by the quilting bug!

I have a 13 year-old and I feel this so much. My 13 year old did flannel rag quilts with her Pathfinder (like Girl Scout Cadettes) and loved it! She's been asking to make a rag quilt at home, but I might see if she's interested in trying some charm squares. Zero chance she would make it for her 11 year-old sister though!

Hi Angela, i'm the daughter of a make do and mend mother who taught me crafts from an early age (by 3 i could knit my first jumper). My mum taught me to sew properly by making clothes from clothes, embroidery, tapestry, macrame, leather work, wood work, etc. I am now 54 and no longer have that wonderful lady by my side, but i have the talent in my hands from all the years of playing with Mum's toys or tools depending on how you view it. Spending time like this with your baby, teaching her and encouraging her all the way, it will give her a lifetime of memories and gifts to her hands. It's a pity more mums didn't share their talents like that with their children and then perhaps there wouldn't be so many children that can't even thread a needle, never mind sew with it. Thank you Chloe for bringing a beautiful quilt to our screens and giving your wee sister the precious gift of a cuddle, every time she wraps her quilt around her.
