Man on life support after attack near Metrolink station in Fontana

- A man remains on life support after being brutally attacked near a Metrolink station in Fontana. The assault left Ronald Barre, 58, with debilitating injuries as the suspect remains on the loose.
On Jan. 26, Fontana police responded to reports of an injured man at Santa Fe Park next to the Metrolink station at 16777 Orange Way. Arriving officers found Barre lying on the ground and unresponsive. He was in critical condition and appeared to have been severely beaten, police said.
The suspect or suspects fled the scene before officers arrived and they remain at large.

I hope they catch the perpetrator(s). But one thing that bugs me is why did the police wait almost 4 months for the public's help instead of earlier when the memory of possible witness(es) is/are still fresh.

You just can't catch a bus like you used to. I was born in San Bernardino just outside Felony flats. I left it for Texas fifteen years ago. When I crossed the Colorado River for the last time it looked like an open sewer. I never looked back.
