Dr jen if you're not fan of juicing just keep you're opinion to yourself. Juicing has helped alot of patients around the world regain their health back.

You can really tell she actually doesn’t know what she’s taking about.. the thousands of testimonies aside, literally juicing DOES detox you. Is it your “organs” yes at the end of the day. But! It’s the juicing that allows your body to repair and spend all it’s energy in fixing itself/detoxing

You are the first person I ever heard to say the things you discussed in your video and I couldn’t disagree with you anymore. I am a 42 yr old woman with type 2 diabetes and a very long history of high blood pressure. I have struggled with my weight my entire life and just recently within the last year I gained a substantial amount of weight 75lbs to be exact. (Long story short with that I had a back condition, lost the ability to walk, got surgery now I can) I watched a documentary called fat sick and nearly dead and it completely changed my life. I began my juice fast feb 12th today is day 58. I started off weighing 260lbs and as of yesterday I am 203.4 lbs Also if you’re wondering my doctor completely supports what I’m doing as a matter of fact just yesterday we had a virtual visit which she congratulated me on my progress and scheduled a order for new labs in addition to the old one which I am pleased to say I have reversed all my numbers my A1C was a 9 and now it is 4.3 my blood pressure is down to 127/78 I wish I could show a screenshot of the entire chart. It was amazing I’m not starving myself I’m able to walk an average of 7-8 miles every day. I understand this isn’t a sustainable lifestyle so I plan on reintroducing food back into my diet after I make it to my goal of 100 days. But in the meantime I think what you are telling us about juicing is incorrect and irresponsible.

I agree with you and CONGRATS 🎉 I watched the same documentary as well when I began my weight loss journey. I lost over 200lbs over a year and a half. No surgery, just trying to beat diabetes via PCOS. Check out Dr. Barbara O'Neill. She also talks about removing parasites from your body & how those parasites cause different health conditions. They're different levels to medicine. I also believe in chiropractic care too.

I agree with you I have heard so many incredible stories about people who did juicing and it changed and saved their lives everything in life has to be done with balance and if you first educate yourself on the ups and downs and don't and do,'s of juicing I feel it will be an awesome experience 😊

Wow...Dr.Jen... Thank you for putting this Juicing video out there. I've been juicing with whole fruits and vegetables for over a month. But I only drink a cup full once a day. One or two meals daily. It has given me energy. I've always looked for a cleanser due to suffering with Diverticulitis.

I juice on the weekends in addition to a well balanced diet which includes fibre and protein from other sources. I believe it helps me to get in more vegetables that I would be lacking in my diet. My skin is glowing and I feel more energized.

You are right on the money about juicing....we need to to eat our foods...our whole foods. Been doing readings that say jucing is not for every one....we we juice we remove all the fiber fr the whole foods.....not goods...pls read up on juicing...do not drink your food....chew your foods.....

By juicing I get the value of many veggies that I just don't get around to eating no matter my intentions. I do it as part of a healthy diabetic diet hospital dietitian gave me, plus lots and lots of water as Dr. Always says, limited carbs, as little sugar as possible.

I did a juice “fast” for one week because I had an issue with over eating. I wasn’t hungry. It was good for me to have that practice of self-control. But at some point you just want to chew on something 😂

I suggest you delve deeper into functional nutrition, preventative medicine, etc. In general, it will bring you to modern times with respect to nutrition, prevention, and optimal living. Its also extremely important to differentiate yourself from someone who is an expert in the field of nutrition as our scope of knowledge is vastly different. Speaking as a clinical nutritionist.
Juicing is rather complex and there are great ways to go about it; especially with respect to managing insulin spikes, etc. Youve likely covered this (i stopped 2 minutes in), but just in case, ill leave it here for those who also stopped prematurely.

I juice to get vegetables and fruits that my family normally won't eat spinach, beets , celery are a hard sell with the kids and hubby. The kids help me make the juice are excited to try the juice. Now the kids are excited to go to the grocery store and ask for vegetables and fruits normally they won't try.

I'm not really sure what juicing is?
I mean I buy some sort of fruit juice maybe 2x a year when I see it on offer. At home though I eat plenty fruits, I don't really see the point of peeling them and processing and then drinking? Why would that be better?
If anything, I sometimes freeze some and blend that into delicious cold sorbet thing cos it's so hot!
