It's a ripper. I've always loved the sound of a 2 stroke. Yes, please share the camo paint scheme. Awesome build, as always. I see that you're monetized now, Awesome! I didn't skip an ad. 260K subscribers! You're smokin ! I sent a few pictures to your email of a few of the things I'm working on at the moment. When you get a moment, please have a look and let me know what you think. I don't do contests, so I don't have any outside opinions. Thank you again for sharing your work with us. Your channel production is getting really good! Well done, Ben! Have a great weekend and week! Cheers mate!
Hi Michael, the sound and smell is awesome. I will do the Camo scheme over the Christmas break and upload shortly afterwards. Monetized, yes, but there are creators on here sticking cornflakes up their nose and earning serious money 🤣 I didn't start this for that reason so I am happy doing what I do and continue to hope that I engage with viewers like you. I am blown away with the Subs and continue to pinch myself over it. Just hope it continues to grow and people don't get bored of listening to me dribble on😂. I have just responded to your email mate...love the painting techniques...that takes some serious patience and skill, so well done on that. Ben does a great job in tidying up and editing my videos...and removing any bad language used🤣. I am thinking about releasing a 'bloopers' video...what do you think? Thanks for your continued support mate, it is very much appreciated.
Hi Bill, and thank you. I cannot wait until I can bring this over to a piece of land I own and give it a real work out. Thanks for your continued support and hope you have a great weekend.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to you Tony. Your enthusiasm and joy throughout the project are truly evident in every episode. We deeply appreciate the time, effort, and care you've put into making it. Thank you again for your hard work and dedication! We'd love to see the Camo scheme too :)
Wow..Thank you...that means a great deal to me. I love your kits and have absolutely enjoyed every step of this build. So pleased that you are happy with the way I have completed this and hope that I inspire more potential builders to take the plunge.
Thank you Steve, much appreciated. I really did enjoy this build. Apparently so did HPI Racing as they are sending me a kit to build...not sure what it yet, but I must have done something right. Thanks also for supporting my channel. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Thank you...I have really loved this build and a little sad it is now complete, but looking forward to giving it a real test when fully run in. I will let you know my plans very soon. Have a great weekend and thank you for your continued support.
Only thing I can say is Wow, what a fantastic build. Congratulations Tony for your new child lol. Came out perfect, you really transmitted the satisfaction of building it. I will send you some picts when I finish mine. Take care brother and keep in touch. Marco.
Hi Marco and thank you. Hope you enjoy your build as much as I have. Did that part turn up?...tracking it, but not shown as delivered yet. Yes please send some pics when complete. Have a great weekend mate and thank you for your continued amazing support.
Tony... these videos were so helpful for me as I am building a hip 5b ,I was going from your video to my build on a few things.just wanted to say thank you... and hello from Plymouth Devon.... great videos too ..
Hi Dave and greetings from Essex. You can call it 'HIP' because it really is man😎 Mate you are more than welcome and hope my videos are helping you. What stage are you at and assuming you are building the 2 stroke, which engine have you gone with? Thanks for your kind words and hope you enjoy building this amazing kit as much as I have. Have a great weekend.
Ran a pair of these on the Castle BL set ups a few years ago, one buggy, one SC truck. Immense fun and, once hopped up, incredibly tough.... BUT an utter PIA to work on and I don't miss that aspect of ownership😂 I would be fitting some shock limiting cables tho as the shocks bottom out internally causing damage without them. Also, a killswitch is a must for any i/c RC. I have seen runaways and also experienced one myself, which ripped off the front left corner and bent the front of the chassis, which did have an extra support plate fitted as the kick up was a known weak spot....
Thanks for watching and commenting. I will look into that. I have also fitted a kill switch for that reason. Video 7 in the series. Don't want this running off at 50MPH😀
hi tony, nice to see the buggy finished. difficult to refrain from full throttle. i have built numerous tamiya trucks, king hauler, globe liner, trailers, etc etc i am sure you would enjoy building them as well since they are very similar to building the buggy and all parts go together well. i love some of the trucks available in germany, cranes and loaders etc.....where do you stop.
Hi Trevor....very difficult, but want to run the engine in as they recommend...even at 50% throttle it is scary fast...Looking forward to giving it a real run when the weather improves over on a piece of land I own...it is too fast for my garden. 10 acres should do it🤣. I love those trucks...there used to be a club near me that set up a complete scaled world where they had dozens of trucks, diggers etc all working and moving around this amazing little world. I took my Grandkids there last year, but they have now closed it...what a shame...I did a video of this in my events playlist. This hobby is addictive and as you say...where do you stop. The HPI Racing development team follow my channel and I have received really positive feedback from them. So much so, they are sending me something else to build...I have no idea what it is yet, but I must be doing something right 😀. Have a great weekend mate and 'Just keep building'😀
You've smashed it out of the park again Tony, brilliant job. Is the 86 the year hpi started? Have a great weekend bud. Edlit... Yes please on the camo scheme. Edit edit... End montage, brilliant idea 😊
Thanks Russ, I really loved building this kit and so pleased I managed to complete it to the standard I envisaged. HPI have done an amazing job on this and I can't wait until they release another similar kit. Their development team follow my channel and I have received really positive feedback from them. So much so, they are sending me something else to build...I have no idea what it is yet, but I must be doing something right 😀. Bens idea on the ending and he did a brilliant job as always. I will get on to the Camo version over the Christmas break and upload this soon after. Thank you for your kind words and super support, it is always very much appreciated. Have a great weekend.
@tonys_workshop excellent news Tony, I'm so pleased you're getting something new to work on. Your videos are fantastic and I've said it before you're becoming a Haynes manual for builders. Please say thanks to Ben again, and maybe a montage for the Tiger and other builds would be amazing.
I will ask Ben to look into this. I was also looking to release a 'Blooper' video of all the bits he has had to cut out..what do you think? There are some colourful language parts when things dont go right, so a tad worried about YT vetting 🤣
@tonys_workshop you really should, just stick a "quack" or something over the swearing, it would probably make it funnier, I'd like to hear how many "F" bombs you dropped when you were making the bridge for the tiger, that top brace didn't seem to want to stay up there 🤣
Countless 'F' Bombs on that and many other times of frustration😂. I will look into doing this with Ben to see how we can publish without offending. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Hi Tony, good job you didn’t glue them in as you wouldn’t be able to fit the camo body unless you had spares for that body? Excellent build, it’s going to give you hours of fun. How did you resit the temptation to give it full beans🤣 yep please film the camo scheme👍
Hi Aus...you are so right..that did occur to me post build. I will do the camo scheme over the Christmas break and upload shortly afterwards. I can't wait to get it over to my land and give it a real run round. I was tempted to give it some welly, but still running it and dont want to damage the engine...that said, even on 50% throttle it is scary fast...not 70MPH like yours but fast enough to give me goosebumps. Have a great weekend and thanks again for your continued support.

Hi Tony, The cornflake thing was very funny 😁 Yes a blooper reel would be great fun. Cheers!
Tony: Nice paint job and finalizing of all your hard work. You are ready to hit the sand dunes and go speeding down the road. Superb Job!!!

Congrats on the completion of your Baja. Can’t wait to see what your next project will be after the Land Rover.

Great build, looks good. I hope you've got understanding neighbours though!
Thanks Dave, much appreciated. Oh they know what I am like😀 and yes they are very understanding.

Hi Barry and thanks for watching and commenting. The Rovan is pretty much the same thing I think.
86 is the year HPI was founded
Correct. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope you continue to follow my builds.
I have 2 baja one electric and the another is gasoline engine
Wow! Which one do you prefer...I hear the Flux version is really fast? Thank you for watching and commenting.
