Despite the long long journey (I checked online and it should have been a 90-minute flight) this was a good start to your month in Vietnam. I remember eating tasty spring rolls in my local Vietnamese restaurant in London, so good! Wishing you both a wonderful stay in Vietnam, and looking forward to following your adventures there.
Excellent opening video you two and a nice little late evening taster of what is to come, the people, the cuisine, places to see and you guys getting the hang of the language and the local currency. Also, as always, love the interviews. Fun times ahead and looking forward to seeing and hearing what Vietnam has to offer. There's no escaping that balut right?!? 😂🤣😂 Cheers guys 🤩
Just a word of caution when in Hanoi city, there'll be scammers lurking everywhere to get your money, namely (the shoe man who dashes over and try to fix your shoe and ask to be paid, & ladies at tourist locations offering free incense, but upon lighting them, you'll be ask a donation!)😅😅✌️
I have never been much interested in Vietnam. But now since my favorite youtuber couple is there, i think it's time to get interested. Have a nice trip. Greetings to you both. 🙋♂
Cheers Göker! We both are pleasantly surprised about most of the thinks we have been experiencing here 😃 hopefully we’re getting you even more interested after this series 🥰 nice to hear champ 🏆 cheers!
Love you! ❤
Maybe your vids for Vietnam are already in the can and you are home, but if not, safe travels there. If French is in your language bag you will find the older people there speak French as well. One of the nice things about Vietnam is it is so visual, so I think it makes YTing easier and more vibrant. So I'm sure your series will be great. Best wishes.
Nice one :) haha my french is like my Thai 😅 not so good! Thanks for the tip though :D I'll be in Vietnam for a bit longer :D We absolutely love it now. Cheers mate!
I plan to visit Vietnam and Cambodia, early September solo. How many days do you recommend staying in Vietnam, and what city? I’ve enjoyed watching your videos, and hope you have safe travels.
Hey mate, good to hear you're coming over! I'd say a minimum of 3 weeks each... If you have that time. I also recommend to stay at least 2 nights wherever you are (even better 3) so you do not have to rush anything. For Vietnam; I'd spend some time in Hanoi (expect a busy city though) If you don't like cities i'd go to Halong Bay/ Cat Ba and Sa Pa/ Mai Chau/ Nim Binh in the North. Hoi An is super nice! Also check out the beaches there (or in Da Nang. There are many spots to check out to be honest :P I'll be somewhat a month in Vietnam and I do not think it's enough :P I hope you keep enjoying them :D any other questions just let me know
If you prefer majestic scenery, then you'll love the north. If you're more a beach bum, then the central parts of Vietnam (food is probably the best here of the 3 regions). If you like culture, tradition, and cool architecture then Hanoi (for a big city) or Hoi An for a small city. Also check out Da Lat...so much stuff to do in that city even though it's touristy...there are 2 big waterfalls in the area, take the olden day train to one of the nice temples in SE Asia, alpine coaster, the Maze bar, tea/coffee tours, clay city, etc.
Back in 2015, my colleague and I were scammed by a taxi driver taking us from the airport to the hotel at the city. He had overcharged us 3x more, we only realised when we took another taxi booked by the hotel reception back to the airport few days later. Taking a Grab was a better option, at least you know how much the price in advance and you got the receipt via email.
:p that’s a random question. I think it is scary because of the things he has said in the past. He is using fair and hate to position himself and knows how to move and steer groups of people doing it this way. In the past we’ve seen wars coming of the people with such leadership. He’s cleaver man, but I think it’s too dangerous to make him president of the Netherlands. I think it’s a shame that people don’t care and forget about the hateful things he has said. I only can hope he can prove to the world that he can be a good leader and try to be in peace with the whole world no matter what religion or culture ❤️
I always recommend foreigners whom aren't familiar with the food do food tours while in Vietnam. The best food tours I've seen have come out of Hanoi so do several to get an idea. You'll learn about how to eat the food properly and learn a bit more about the culture and history.
Nice one :) we didn't have organized food tours yet but we ate a lot of food so far we've never ate before and most of it is super delicious. Thanks for watching :)
Hi there, firstly, I would not get any cash out with your credit card as there will be high fees. Bring cash from Europe and you're able to exchange your Euros at any exchange office. Just compare a few offices before you exchange so you know you're able to get the best rate as possible. You're also can get just cash out at most of the ATMs with your Debit Card from France. Agribanks, Vietinbank and BIDV are pretty good.
This was in the heart of the most popular touristic area in the capital city of Vietnam. Clean, spacious rooms in Bukit Bintang would roughly cost the same would it not? Maybe even more 🙃
@ViolentCabbage-ym7ko if you can send me a link of a hotel room with a gym and sky pool in the center or Bukit Bintang for USD 30.- I’ll book it for this December 🤓
@@Chai_Travel literally just came back from there, need to queeu in the airport even if we dont have baggage due to online checking not working, there is no clear queeu lines, everybody can cut their way towards the boarding lockets, after that need another queue before immigration 2 times because the officer only one, this is the worst airport i have experienced, as South East Asian fellow I didnot expect this 😅
@@Chai_Travel Hanoi, when queuing this morning, there is 2 asian women brawl, i saw a western tourist girl videoing it,maybe later in tiktok the video appear 😅, omg what a mess

Hello,
Does Grab work well at Hanoi Airport ?
How much cost a Taxi from Hanoi Airport to Old Quarter ?
Thank you !
Grab works just fine :) it cost us just over 300K I hope it helps

$30 for a room that narrow? You can get a room with a hall, kitchen and swimming pool for that amount in Malaysia
This was in the heart of the most popular touristic area in the capital city of Vietnam. Clean, spacious rooms in Bukit Bintang would roughly cost the same would it not? Maybe even more 🙃
@@Chai_Travel To be fair, we have a skypool and a gym for roughly the same amount in KL. It's a steal bro😁
