    Most of the information in the video might work for you, but it not actually a way to double your FPS like stated in the title.
    It would rather reduce your FPS. A quick search for a reddit optimization guide would probably help more.
    - Keep Volumetric Clouds on Off / Medium, any higher setting lowers FPS quickly on planets
    - Low Latency Mode in NVIDIA Control Panel causes issues for some players, leave it off
    - Also set your Power Management Mode in the NVIDIA CP to Prefer maximum performance, unless you are on a Laptop that is not plugged in.
    - Optimizing your windows would probably help a lot too, but please don't touch anything in your registry unless you know what you are doing.
    Windows optimization would be things like enabling Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, Using the correct Power Plan, Turning Game Bar off, Turning Game Mode on, Disabling not needed startup apps
    Putting the Shader Cache to 10GB is correct and will help.

    • @infinitespace239
      @infinitespace239  5 месяцев назад

      For the love of God don't turn game mode on, google it and you will see difference in tests when it is turned off. Everything else is for lower power machines.

    • @Nipeno
      @Nipeno 5 месяцев назад +1

       @infinitespace239 Game Mode just pauses Windows updates, restart notifications and prioritizes CPU and GPU resources more for games and takes them away from background tasks.
      Some games get better 1% lows with it on, some games have slighty lower Avg FPS, it depends on the System and the game. If your CPU can't handle the game and background tasks at once, prioritizing the game will help.
      Apart from the 10GB Shader Cache, anything in the NVIDIA control panel doesn't make a huge difference as long as its using the standard config.
      Anything mentioned in your video won't help if people are running their System on the "Power saver" power plan, which was not mentioned in the video.
      I'm not trying to come at you, I'm just trying to help people improve their experience in the game.

I found this also gives 10/15 fps boost (hit the button above tab) then type r_ (hit tab 3 times) then set enable full gpu sync to 0.. also I found to fix micro stutters I use a program called process lasso (it’s free) I run a 2060 laptop and game works well enough to enjoy and play

      Did you try the control panel setting to 1? As I have had fellow citizens who said it was already on 0 but when they changed it to 1 it also has a gain .. I just tried it on both settings to see if there was any difference and for me 0 gave me about 10/15 fps boost .. as for process lasso it basically disables all the cores running for the same process(you can do the same thing in windows ) but I’m not technically minded so process lasso was easier to do (with the help of a YT video) 😂

      @@infinitespace239 Max performance can indeed be set in the NVidia control panel, but you are correct it is less optimal if you have that in the global setting. However I would recommend setting it in the NVidia control panel for the SC executable itself. That way, after you quit, the system will switch back to the global setting = less power draw and less heat/noise.

    • @infinitespace239
      @infinitespace239  8 месяцев назад

      @@skullhqx You could do that, but still it does not do anything for game, at least in my case. How about your 4090 ?

    • @skullhqx
      @skullhqx 8 месяцев назад

      @@infinitespace239 It won’t do anything with your GPU, max performance is something for the CPU, where it is forced to have as little downclocks as possible, busses are kept to the maximum speed, etc. When the CPU load is highly variable, this should give a noticeable performance increase. If the load is already high, but not variable, it won’t make much difference. So, in effect this setting doesn’t ‘cost’ much effort, as you can make it application specific in the NVidia control panel. When playing a game, you want max performance and if the game is already ‘flat out’, it won’t make a difference for wattage and heat anyway. But if the game has a variable CPU load, it will give you always the best performance possible. I’m all for saving power, but not when I need my system to run at peak performance. This setting takes care of that, while if it is not needed (when not playing a game), it can be made to switch back to the global default, saving power.

  • @sarpo99
    @sarpo99 8 месяцев назад +2

    To be honest yes your settings are helpful but you are already playing with a top spec pc. Even you can affrod a 4k monitor. so why dont you focus on lover spec pc's so how to get better fps on lower spec computers. I would easily get smooth fps if I had 4090 and 4k too.

    • @infinitespace239
      @infinitespace239  8 месяцев назад +1

      Actually you would not. Game is still in development and you will have same experience with 1080 and 3090 full of stuttering if you don't do this what I just did. If you have low spec Pc do everything that I did just disable planet volumetric clouds and lower resolution to your native. You will see difference. Test it and report back.

    • @skullhqx

      @@infinitespace239I run a 4090 and I can confirm what you say that SC doesn’t really benefit from it that much. My rig runs slightly faster (@4K) than yours I think. Usually up to ~100 fps during quantum jump. Lowest is 30-50 at say New Babbage. Gsync does help a bit, but it will stutter from time to time. Atm SC just can’t really be stutter free. As SC isn’t graphically optimized yet, a 4090 isn’t a sound investment atm. Then again, I also play other games like MS FS and DCS World in VR and in such case the 4090 is a lot faster compared to my previous 3080Ti. Cheers o7
