In the early 60's one of my Dad's employees was driving on I75 in Detroit and saw a woman and children with a flat tire. It was storming terribly and he stopped and changed the tire and .. A week later a huge stero system arrived with all of Nat King Coles albums. . With a beautiful letter of thanks for helping his wife. A class act.
That's awesome!
@@Skeeter123 wasn't it?
Was the child Natalie I wonder..
@@annmcconnell2099 I'm guessing it was. He said they were lovely kids. 3 of them but Dad didn't ask about them.
Not only an outstanding talent, but one of the classiest, most loved entertainer of his time.
His daughter did a duet with him on this song, after his passing. Technology is amazing.
Such a legend. Love his smooth silky voice. He was an American singer, jazz pianist & actor. He recorded over 100 songs that became hits on the pop charts. He is best known for "Mona Lisa" & "Unforgettable" but he had so many great hits such as "Smile", "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66", "(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons", "There! I've Said It Again", "Nature Boy", "Ramblin' Rose", "Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer" etc.
The Autumn Leaves
He told stories with that rich, beautiful voice. None better!
I have loved this mans voice for decades. So smooth and warm, he will be forever unforgettable.
Love Nat King Cole...his voice is unmatched in my opinion! Another great of his is Smile, The Very Though of You(my fav)❤️
I grew up in the 50's and 60's listening to Nat King Cole.
I have always thought of his voice as warm chocolate velvet.
One of my parents old school..
I used to watch them dance to this when I was young....
Not the raunchy stuff of today, but slow, holding each other, romantic. ❤️😎
Beautiful velvety voice.. Please do Elvis gospel songs - American Trilogy, How great thou art, Why me Lord, and many more. He was exceptionally good at singing gospel!
So smooth like melted butter, we need singers like this today.
His phrasing and timing are so perfect. So love this 💗
I used to watch The Nat King Cole show every week on tv. His voice was breathtaking. Sammy Davis jr said he was mesmerized by Nat.
Nat King Cole had such a smooth and lovely voice. Makes me want to go out and buy one of his CD's.
Nat became my favorite singer when I was just a little guy back in the 50s. When I was about 7 and 8 years old I would watch Nat's television show with my dad. I miss great music like this. Nat's music is what a guy puts on when he wants to snuggle with his lady on the dance floor.
Love this man so smooth, you’ve gotta hear Nat and his daughter Natalie sing this together ☺️Love your channel 💕
This is the best song of his
Also the best performance.done live on his TV show from the late 50s.also with a live orchestra.
you should make a reaction to the version with Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole. It is simply stunning. RIP both of them
Love this man’s voice. Reminds me of being a child of the sixties and my dad and uncle playing Nat’s music & the big band music. He sings so effortlessly and his voice is just beautiful.
Isn’t this the greatest - my parents always had music playing - Nat was one of my Mother’s favorite. Her favorite song of his was L.O.V.E. - he was so smooth.
He was wonderful. Beautiful voice and beautiful human being.
There was a remake of him and his daughter singing this as a duet, my 2nd ex and I would dance to it wherever we were. That was our thing. He died this summer and I cried, even though we divorced 25 years ago. BTW- NKC was my mom's favorite, we were raised listening to him.
Pure. A pure voice. Clarity. You can hear every nuance of each note. Effortless. Smiling. Just lovely in every way.
A voice like melting chocolate. Effortless and just so amazingly beautiful !!
look at the video of him and his daughter did that was a masterpiece the way they did it
I came here to say this!
He was my grandmother's 2nd cousin. He was an incredible voice!
What a Class Act he was. ♥️👍
His "That Sunday, That Summer" is the most romantic song ever....
Nat King Cole's voice is like velvety chocolate. He was so handsome,I had a huge crush as a kid, although he was gone by then, but those vocals. So many amazing songs!
Totally mesmerizing & exquisite.
Love this bring memories when I was a little girl my mom and dad singing and slow dancing to this in the kitchen.💙
This man..His Christmas collection is 🥰🥰 My grandma loved him and I still listen to him sometimes when I’m in the mood. Love him
Oh my gosh! Loved your reaction and hearing that velvet Nat King Cole voice again ❤️ Thank you for sharing 😊
His voice is like warm butter.. I love it.. I grew up on this..
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😘LOVE Nat King Cole🥰
Isn't his voice divine? Yes, please react to his daughter singing this "with" him.
I agree! They both have great voices!
@@mcneca1 And such a beautiful way of paying tribute to her father after he was gone.
This is probably my almost favorite of all time, it's my almost favorite because the one Natalie Cole did with her father's recording rates higher for me. Great video. Blessings
His smile could light up a Christmas Tree.
Nat King Cole was so smooth wit it
I'm grateful I grew up listening to this great. Others I remember that would be great to hear -- Louis Armstrong "What a Wonderful World" and Duke Ellington "I got it bad and that ain't good". There is a version of the latter song Ella Fitzgerald sang.
A voice soft as velvet!
100% class personified the voice is butter
You should also do Natalie King Cole, doing the same song. They did a mash up of her and her dad and it was beautiful.
Voice smooth as silk.🥰
Do you sing anywhere? You have a great voice.🥰
You are so funny🤣 I so enjoy watching your reactions Mr. Slightly Lightly!! Thank you Sir👏
I have been a Nat King Cole fan for most of my life. Because my grandparents loved him at first but then choir and then his daughter's album of her dad's songs.
My favorite songs of his are "Oh, it's only a paper moon" and "L-O-V-E".
And a super fun and probably lesser known song is Calypso Blues, where he talks about how much he misses his home country and the culture shock. For example, he gives you a giant list of things that 3 dollars would buy at home, and the two things you could get in New York.
You should hear the duet with him and his daughter singing this song.
Even just talking, Nat sounds like he's singing.
He does the best version of The Christmas Song.
Should do the collaboration of this song with his beloved beautiful daughter Natalie
He's so unforgettable
Smooth!
A legend! ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, the full package
Classic!!!
Oh yes. Love this song
LEGEND
Found your channel 2 days ago and been binge watching reactions. Just finished your “why, nf” reaction. And if you like bars, you def need to react to “Picasso, hopsin”
Also, watching your “can I get an outlaw upchurch and Luke combs” you should react to “radio jam, upchurch” or “alpha omega remix upchurch” if you havent
One of the best
Just so you know he is in like flin.Hall of Fame.!!!
My mom loved Nat king Cole. When i had my oldest son. She gave him the nickname Nat. I asked her why. She said my son had Nat king Cole eyes.
Now you know why there was a baby boom! It was because of romantic, beautiful songs like this one.
I see many people suggest tunes, but didn't see anyone mention
The Christmas song Chestnuts roasting on a open fire'.
So smooth…makes me want to dance slow and close mmmmmmmmm
Don't know if you already have done it but Dean Brody "Brothers"
AB you need to hear chubby checker this back in. early 60s
Now you have to follow up with him and daughter Natalie .... that she did recorded after he passed
He put the kool in Kool. Peace out.
Pls watch the version of this song with daughter Natalie Cole.
everly brothers very good
One of my favorite artists of all time. Stardust is my fav of all his songs. Another performer who is in that class is bill withers and Donny Hathaway. Donny Hathaway redid a song that nat King cole covered but I think Donny did the better version. Compare both of their versions of For All We Know
check out blackoak arkansas, when electricity came to arkansas
React to neffex gibberish, losing my mind
That would be called a “panty dropper “
