A very chatty paint with me and my first ARTXSUN RUclips Video! This video is like a spoken word and painting crossover.
I’m taking a deep dive into the hard conversation of racism discussing the black lives matter movement, civil rights protests, diversity, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, social justice, excessive force by police, anti-racism, and what the phrase Black Lives Matter means. This includes real-time painting and time-lapse painting footage showcasing a variety of video angles. The piece is an 11x14” oil painting I’ve titled “Seeds: Black Lives Matter”. It’s a black art painting of a black power fist, covered in vines and flowers, with the quote “THEY TRIED TO BURY US BUT THEY DIDN’T KNOW WE WERE SEEDS” - Unknown.
My goal is to raise awareness, unity, and empowerment through this piece and video. I hope to spread hope and encouragement, even while talking about a tough subject. I really hope you all enjoy it.
