Does that hertz dsp play hi res through Bluetooth? I want a dsp with hi res compatible Bluetooth since I use tidal on my iPhone. I don't want to have to use a cord to my phone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ✌🏽 Thanks in advance.
No the Hertz DSP doesn’t offer a Bluetooth audio input. You can take a Audison B-Con High Res Bluetooth and take the analog output into the Hertz S8. The phone would be the volume control.
Nice 👏🏻 ver helpful , i would like to ask you a question, i have audio control LC7i. can i use LC7i out to this DSP input ? Is it ok or wrong? What’s your opinion?
I wouldn’t like to change my head unit that’s why I used LC7i . Now my sound system connection is Lc7i 4 output to one 4 channel Sony es series amp for 4 component speakers (front&rear doors) & lc7i 2 output to kicker mono amp for sub
@@niyasnazz If your Sony ES amp is current then it has the ability to do Highlevel input and has a low level out to run a subwoofer amp. So the Audio Control isn't really necessary.
hello there I have a question I want to add system to my factory head unit in my 2012 Acura TL I’ve doing research on the hertz DSP do I need an lC7 to catch signals or is the hertz DSP capable of summing the signals ?
Hopefully you will see this... Quick question for you - I noticed that when you were setting the input sensitivity that the test tone was inaudible. Was this because you disconnected the output or does the app do this? When I attempt this same thing, the test tone (sweep tone) is barely audible and does not respond to volume control - I have been assuming that this is a problem. Thanks.
Can you raise the low pass on the front midrange higher than 3200htz? It doesn't let you go any higher thaan thaat on the app. My front mids can play well up to 5k or so.
I get that but it looks as though the front mid dropdown (at least on the app) will only go lowpass around 3200, the higher selections are grey'd out. The rear mid woofer dropdown allows the mid to be played much higher, that is strange to me. I cant reach anyone at Hertz so I appreciate your info, great vid btw
I dont own the unit yet, before i buy it, i want to make sure i can run the x over up high enough. The demo mode on the mobile app stop the mid from playing any higher than 3400htz, the higher values are grey'd out and not selectable on the app. I just wanted to confirm I can run my front mids up higher than 3400htz where the app limits you. I hope the pc software allows you to get closer to 5k. Thats all im trying to find out
Finally a video from installation to to tuning. All videos that I've come across about only talk about the software of dsp's no real real time test. How good is the hertz compared to helix ?
Awesome work
Thanks.
Great video. That was funny, I know how you feel about the epicenter 🤣
Tell me about it
Excellent ! Thank you very much
Thanks

The LC7i is designed for summing signals in most cases. The Hertz DSP has 6 high level inputs, so a LC7i should be needed. What type of vehicle is it?
Kia seltos

Do you know which audio system is in your Acura? Bose? Alpine?
@@lancesautovlog ELS system
The Hertz DSP would work without using the Audio Control LC7i. Arc Audio has a nice one as well.
@@lancesautovlog thank you so much appreciate your quick reply

The unit will mute the outputs when it's doing it.

This system was a 2 way, the tweeter is only playing 3200Khz and above. The mid is playing 3200KHz to maybe 80Hz.

The Hertz is a super basic unit. The Helix is way better.
