That is correct. No All-pass filters. The input eq wasn’t necessary in this Tahoe. I’m totally familiar with the Audison and Hertz products. I did work for them for 4 years. lol 😝

I didn’t use the Axxess piece in this vehicle. Several of my sources told me that it wasn’t compatible.

I didn't see a close up of the amplifier in the video but I just did a 24 with Bose and it worked fine. However, I know it does depend on the RPO code of course. Great job either way though!

No not really. The sound deadening is thick enough to cover the gap. Good question.

They take a lot more abuse in the car.

The alpine is a nice unit halo unit. Most of the manufacturers on the market offer a hi res now. So Alpine isn’t your only choice.

If your question is about the ability of the Audio Control to set your crossover. Yes it can. I would probably steer to towards a Helix DSP. They’re more reliable when it’s all said and done.

@@lancesautovlog Thanks I am in a lot better position now-- after visiting 6 car audio stores in Albuquerque, I finally found a shop with an owner who is passionate about building great systems, extremely knowledgeable and will personally sit down with you to listen to the system to go over everything and make adjustments after installation. I simply don't understand why every shop isn't like that!!!!

Any and all the DSP’s with high level inputs on the market will allow you to use the OEM volume knob. If that the question your asking.

It seemed to good for the customer. It could handle more power than what the customer wanted.

It’s pretty good verses a numbers of brands on the market. There are a few more features that I wish it had. Maybe a global EQ.

Yeah! The C10 is awesome truck!

I honestly don't recall the brand that it was. I used for the impedance that we are looking for to get the output from the amp. It worked out great!

What model & year is the vehicle? Are you keeping the OEM radio or replacing it? If it’s stop does it have a Bose, infinity, JBL or any type of upgrade audio package?

Sometimes that will happen, but most amps have a very low current draw.

They are both very good DSP’s. The helix to me is a slight easier to tune. The Arc is bridgeable and the Helix isn’t. The Helix conductor is very nice, if you’re into a digital controller.

The way I would set your unit up would be the following: 1: Left front Mid & Tw (Hi pass 500Hz @24 dB Link) 2: Right front Mid & Tw (Hi pass 500Hz @24 dB Link) 3: Left under seat woofer (Bandpass 300Hz @ 24 dB Link to 30Hz @ 24dB) 4: Right under seat woofer (Bandpass 300Hz @ 24 dB Link to 30Hz @ 24dB) 5: Left rear (Hi pass 300Hz @24 dB Link) 6: Right Rear (Hi pass 300Hz @24 dB Link) 7&8: bridged to the center (attenuate the level) If you find this helpful you can send me a donation to my cash app.

The customer was on the fence in regards to mounting it. They wanted the option to remove it when they needed to.

Their stuff is pretty good. It’s very simple, but doesn’t offer any advanced features. If you need all-pass filter or built in load resistors they current don’t offer it yet. It’s a nice to the price.

Several of my customers don’t favor the stock system.

The new Bose audio communication for the most current platforms for GM trucks is a lot more complex then the past. So far Metra’s interface is the only aftermarket solution and seen to be the answer for most. The epicenter in conjunction with the Metra interface and nice solution for those how play content that lack Bass in the original recording. So that is the nature of using the 2 products together.

A wideband speaker is very useful in a lot of cases, but generally will not have the crispness of a tweeter due to its design. There are few retailers that offer a 3D printed tweeter and midrange combination for that location. That may be the solution you are looking for.

Honestly I would set my crossovers, then play it. In most cases a proper crossover setup will prevent you from blowing them. You can also reduce the output if they are struggling.

The unit is ok. I updated the unit a couple of times and it seems to be ok. I’m going to try another unit soon.
