Companies have only one goal: money. They don't care about social justice of any sort. If they think they can appeal to female gamers by including female characters, they will do it. And I have no problem with that. If you want realism you wouldn't be playing AAA shooters.

I am happily enjoying not buying this game. So far I've put 0 hours into it and I hope to complete 0% of the game. So far so good.
I'm about 0% through so far, it really does get good once you push past the %0 mark at about 0 hrs or so. I too am hoping for 0% completion in roughly 0 days or so if it goes well. IV had 0 enjoyment for my £0 so I'm pretty pleased so far. May even consider spending £0 on DLC.

Today R6 Siege is an extreme success despite abysmal preorders and player base at launch. Calling BFV a success or a failure right now is inaccurate and therefor an invalid arguement until metrics come out in the upcoming year

Mack enjoyed the third SP campaign, but again it is not about WW2, it is cosplay devs looking for inspiration in the movies - so this one has been inspired by the excellent french movie Indigènes. While I can easily recommend the movie, it is the nature of these background agendas that stop me from enjoying what would otherwise be a road less traveled.
Harlem Hellfighters, Tuskagee Airmen, Women’s Battalions of Death, Female Resistance, colonial (colored) troops. It is all force fed for the wrong reasons in a wrong way. We are forced to forget 90% of history and focus on the remaining 10%, often in a way that has little remaining resemblance with reality.

Yes, but like the movies, once you start using real subjects you’ll have to accept critical review.
Mainstream games are dumbed down, force fed narratives, that are more and more looking like the PC drivel that Hollywood is giving us, including the stuff that is being marketed as historical drama (more like hysterical brainwashing).
The big corporations are diluting the game industry replacing inspiration with special interest narratives and greed. Mainstream gaming as a new medium to indoctrinate the masses, together with all the other tools already in place. They control what we think...at least they constantly try to do so.

Bought every Battlefield game and DLC thats been released to date but gonna give this one a miss! I thought I might have to reluctantly buy it eventually despite the SJW crap, but doesnt sound like a great game anyway. So I'll take EAs advice and save my money :)

Sorry but if you truly have played every single Battlefield game, then you should buy bfv, I don't quite understand this particular review focusing on Historical accuracy cause at the end if the day this is a video game. I don't care how hard you try to make this feel like history when there is a chat where the n-word pops up so frequently or when players will t-bag prior to start of the match. This is a battlefield game. Things that make this a great bf game. Medics actually do their job and you WILL get revived more often because of the squad revive. Gun play and ttk is responsive and great. The fact that this is referenced to CoD is offensive in my opinion as I've played 10 hours this far and there ARE vehicles in this game unlike this review. I've had 4 thanks and 3 planes in one round most of the time there is 2to3. There is destruction and building. Not in cod. There is a revive. Not in cod. This feels like battlefield. It's way better than bf1. Feels like bf3 with a mix of bf2 mechanics. All in all a positive and very enjoyable experience. I 'd buy it again for this experience I've had thus far with 2 of my friends. Even if you are still on the fence. Get the 5 dollar trial through origin access basic if you don't have it already. Lastly, not buying the game because of SJW shit is just sad. That's not what makes this a game. Politics are shit but there was not one moment while I was playing did I stop to think of women in the game. Its NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. Making that one is just sad.

Because that's true to history, and if we retold the stories about him with white people that would be robbing his people of their history, as you progressives are doing to Europeans.

Less vehicles in multiplayer, fast gameplay, casualized multiplayer progression and weapon customization. If not for the war tapes sound effects this game would be called Call of Duty.
That's funny,another review I just watched said it had far more emphasis on vehicles than the last game.with one map having 7 tanks in total with customisable armour etc...

Why are there birds EVERYWHERE? If I as much as look at a bird funny it freaks out and flies off, but here they are in the middle of a battlefield.
EA would shit their pants if they had to make a game like RDR2, having the story focus on only a male character and being able to beat up feminist or deport Mexicans would have never made its way into the game which adds to realism.

First disappearance of space sims like wing Commander/Privateer then flight sims like Jane's series and Falcon 4, then C&C like RTSs, then Swat/Rainbow 6/original Ghost recon Real tactical shooters series and now Battlefield V :( Last hope for good gaming immersion Elder scrolls 6 is years away and who knows if it's not gonna be Fallout 76 type of disaster too. Maybe it's time to say f... you all and stop being PC gamer. Gaming has become mindless brainwashed shooting with no soul 90 % of the time.
There are titles out there that you can play, just not the big shiney AAA titles. You can play Post Scriptum for example if you want an immersive WW2 shooter.
Fallout 76 is not the main line game for fucks sake. People thinking it's the main series pisses me off.
I know why you're afraid with F76 on the horizon, but to be honest, consider two things. 1. It's not a main line game, like Hero2BDetermined said and 2. It's done by a new sub-studio of Bethesda.
Beth is busy with Starfield in the meantime.
Although even as a hardcore fan, I'm also a bit afraid, since while Skyrim was a great game, it was still kind of simplified compared to Oblivion and Morrowind. I just don't want them to simplify TES 6 even more.
But I don't think it's going to follow F76's route. It's highly unlikely.
76 is a disaster But in good type of way after playing it since launch the game was buggy as fuck but pretty decent. they can fix it as long as they keep to their promise and do frequent updates plus free dlcs. Fallout 76 has lots of potential to being something great.

Mack, you're fairly spot on with this review. Only thing I'd say is that the Conquest mode uses the entirety of each map and has a lot more vehicles, I've certainly seen 6-7 vehicles & aircraft on each side starting off on the larger maps. The Battlefield games have always required teamwork, at the very least within each squad, and that's one thing that can be lacking as some players focus on the run & gun/lone wolf style play and the pacing of the game doesn't really help with this.
I highly effing doubt it uses the "entirety" of the Map. If a Map has that Outline around it, that means YOU CANNOT GO THERE. That does NOT mean it uses the Entirety" of the Map! I bet that the outlined(playable) areas are like 1/2 the Size of the Entire Maps shown!!
@@VancouverCanucksRock I wasn't clear, I meant in comparison to the Grand Operations mode which splits maps into sections, moving from one to the next, and has less vehicles. Mack has played mainly GO mode in MP (from watching his streams)

TBH this game wasn’t even that bad and was completely fine. A video game is just a video game. It doesn’t have to be some thing you rely on to keep your hopes and dreams alive. It’s like a board game. Enjoy it for a little bit and be done. Don’t live for it.

To be honest I hated the SP in BF1 as well, it took me months to accept Dice’s version of WW1 including their forced all inclusive characters. The gameplay I enjoyed once I ignored it was depicting WW1. So it seems like little has changed with BFV, but now I have to ignore that it is trying (no it isn’t) to depict WW2. In fact we must conclude that the current generation of mainstream game publishers is incapable / unwilling to produce anything approaching historically correct in a big title. Niche games sure, but not the EAs and Blizzards of this world.
So I thoroughly enjoy BF1, if I ignore the tanks, huge emphasis on infantry carried automatic weapons, idiotic exotic weapons, “armored” aircraft and multi-cultural characters. I will skip BFVs SP campaign, as I have no tolerance for forced reeducation agendas, I will enjoy the MP once I get attuned to the BS universe Dice has created - it does old CoD better than CoD itself - I will forget the rainbow characters, I will forget the silly weapons and upgrades and I will forget the fantasy battles. No I won’t, the hate will sink, but it will be there just simmering at the border of consciousness ready to surface every time I actually realize it is supposed to be WW2 (no it is not, just like Dice explained it is their rendition of WW1).
WW2 has such a wealth of history, dramas of all shapes and kinds, the best and worst of what humans are capable of and the corporate pukes of EA / Dice have to recreate this to suit current industry standards forcing all kinds of PC agendas down our throats and ticking all the marketing boxes in an effort to maximize sales to the cosplay generation. Pox to them...
They are destroying games like BF removing realism and/or history step by step until these games are all arena shooters a la Overwatch and of course the next trend (well at this stage it is following old trends) Battle Royale.
I couldn't agree more, and i still love the old CoD titles until WAW, they always tried to get the main historical setups as right as possible and made mostly believable compromises. You do not have to give up the arcade/action style.

Ehh, lost interest in the Battlefield franchise after playing BF1 for about 100 hours. It just doesn’t really feel like the Battlefield I grew up with anymore, and BFV looks like a straight up expansion for BF1, so I’m gonna be saving my money here.
Twisted Films the game does LOOK like BF1 but is sooo much better. Seriously, if you liked BF1 (I wanted to like bf1 but really disliked the RNG gunplay), you’ll love Bfv. Fantastic battlefield game. Gunplay, visuals, animations, sound, and squad play are all amazing.
I've played it and I can tell you its NOT a reskin. Try it before knocking it. Feels way different than BF1 and more so beyond BF3
Peter Anderson That’s the thing, I didn’t really ENJOY BF1, I just played it a lot because my friends wanted me to join them. And sure, the game is decent fun, but it just kinda feels really casual. The core gameplay loop has gotten boring. After playing Battlefield games my entire life, I guess I’m just tired of playing the same type of gameplay over and over again.
Games like Squad and Escape from Tarkov are way more interesting to me these days.
I think what Peter was trying to get at was that BF1 is not BFV. Worth a try if you are looking to see a twist to the franchise as it embarks a different path in gameplay that's no grenade spam. Grand Operations is a different pace than standard game modes and is more of the focus than conquest. It is more casual than say Squad so take that for what it is.@@TheRealmOfTF

I like levelcap and jack frags but they caught me out badly with battlefront 2. Hard to stomach politics being jammed down our troats as well. I hope that no young people think this what ww2 was like this and i know EA will push the crazy cometics down the line. Its a bad time for games and movies and all we can do is weather the storm till they all run out of money

Yes there’s women but tbh the rest of the game is so immersive you don’t even notice. And yeah EA will push cosmetics but why is that a bad thing? Yes It’s micro transactions but as long as they are strictly cosmetic who cares? Plus free DLC. This game is definitely an improvement from battlefront 2 imo we shouldn’t let politics get in the way of our fun

Yeah, I see tanks rolling around quite often. It's not the game's fault if the tank players are bad and even if they aren't bad, it's possible that the other team does a good job at getting rid of the tanks. Played a game the other day where I was just getting absolutely dumped on by planes over and over.
2-4 tanks are still not enough for a battlefield game.
@@freddiemercury7783 Thats the most tanks we've had on a battlefield game. On the map panzerstorm there can be up to 17 tanks.... it gets crazy especially if you're hunting tanks with a stuka

I'm loving the multiplayer, hated the story mode. I don't like SJWs either guys but I think the worst thing about this game was the marketing. The multiplayer is fucking great though, I've seen plenty of planes and tanks in every game I've played. The beta was shyte I'll admit but if you liked battlefield 3, 4, you'll fucking love it. I don't know what game this dude played for nine hours but he seems like he bandwagoned on to the hate train for blue hairs, I'm all for that but I'm not all for the aspect of negative reviews on a really good game. I've noticed clipping issues when reviving and a few games disconnected but this game feels polished imo. No grenade spam either, no gas spam, NO random bullet deviation. The game ain't bad guys, not the best marketing but for though, don't call your fan base your bread and butter their uneducated cause their not buying your fictionalized blue haired bullshit.
If you want a good ww2 immersive game, go play Post Scriptum! It's muuuuuch better than this CoD clone.
