Hey, hopefully someone can help me, once i have DL'd the plugins, i do not get the tab bar 'FFXIV Overlay Settings'?! Anyone help me out as to why, i have followed the video verbatum.
Hey great video, I was able to install and have it work so easily! I just had one question. I've been checking around all the settings and what not and I really wanted to see if I could extend the time before the encounter resets and starts back from 0. I was doing a trial and the boss had like a 20 second down time, in that time it split the encounter and started from 0 again. I'd really prefer for the trial to be just one big encounter in the DPS Meter. Instead of it being like 3 different encounters. Although it might have been because I was doing the Mog King Trial and it kept splitting because of the different phases with different moogles to fight. Since you don't just fight the Mog King. I was just hoping that I could have 1 encounter for the whole trial. Sorry if I wrote this super confusing, it was hard to properly write my question.
I don't know if you ever figured it out but, in case you didn't, go into your options and find "Main table/Encounters" and then click the "General" tab under it. There you will see something that says "Number of seconds to wait after the last combat action to begin a new encounter". Set this to whatever number you would prefer. I usually set this to 30 seconds.
I am having an issue where I cannot change what shows in the window, for example who is displayed in the overlay window, and I do not have the ffxiv settings tab in the plugins section. I did exactly what you did in this video and double checked to make sure all filed were not blocked. It just shows FFXIV ACT Plugin and the overlay windows but no FFXIV settings tab. Any ideas on what is going wrong? I want to have it just show my party but atm it shows everything including NPCs.
Followed your instructions to letter, but the info window didnt disapear when the encounter started. Turns out there was a hidden firewall popup that you had to click allow on, works now.
im using the same layout/skin as the one you chose and just ran my first dungeon with the meter. Is there a way to make it so that when you use LB it doesnt split the LB damage % for your personal % ?
3:30 what exactly does this do? I didn't do this the first time I downloaded it but on a different computer now and needed another video on redownloading it so I found yours, but I don't recall needing to do this. You should however, add some kind of clause about firewall settings especially when on windows, you'll most likely need to make a rule in windows defender firewall to allow notifications from ACT as this is how you get updates for the app, and firewall will block them if it's not allowed.
If you have enable click through checked you wont be able to adjust so make sure to toggle it off/on accordingly. I also noticed not all overlays adjust the same way depending on which style you choose. Lmk if this doesnt help. Happy to keep troubleshooting
