I really would love to see the new Mufasa movie and I have a feeling they are going to remake the Lion King 2 and were trying to set that up (originally, Scar was Kovu's bio dad but that was scrapped because it would have made Kovu Simba's cousin) with that film by having Scar and Mufasa be adopted brothers. It means that Kovu could be related to Scar but not Simba and have Zira be connected to Kiro's pride would be an interesting plot twist (could hint that Scar was in contact with them during the 2019 Lion King and perhaps he was going to allow them or was allowing them to be in the Pride Lands with the hyenas,)

I mean with Nuka and Vitani, I would assume they would have a bit of both of their parents characteristics (so I don't think they would be completely white in color since in the live action. Taka/Scar is more of a tawny color and if Zira is a white lioness I would assume it would be a mix of both) but with Kovu it would be hard to say since he isn't Taka/Scar's biological son so he could be either Tawny or White (depending how they want to reimagine Kovu as)

Cool video and theory! I originally thought Zira was one of the white lionesses from Kiros' pride. But nowadays I'm more inclined to believe that it's more likely that Zira is a normal-colored lioness in this live-action universe as well. To stay true to her original character. I believe she made a small cameo at the end of the 2019 film. When Simba was making Scar confess that he killed Mufasa, a lioness arrives just as the "camera" moves away from Scar and Simba and gives a wide view of Pride Rock. All the lionesses allied with Sarabi and Nala were already there, so the lioness who arrives later can only be Zira. She was taking care of Vitani and Kovu (newborns) in a nearby cave. Then she heard the commotion outside and went to see what it was. She couldn't participate in the final battle because she didn't have the strength, having just had her cubs and her lionesses were hunting.

Kiros also kinda reminded me of a male version of Zira. Zira could also be related to Taka's old pride or be a distant relative of him, hence why they look so much alike. Maybe a daughter of Obasi's brother who made his own pride somewhere else, in real life nature two cousins would still mate. Then later on they probably met up when Scar became King of the Pridelands. Was also very glad that Mads Mikkelsen voiced Kiros in both the original and Danish version, this guy is literally gold!

That would be kinda weird because she acts like a total fangirl about Scar in TLK2. Would it be normal for a sister to act like an obsessed fangirl about her own brother? As someone with an older brother, that comes off as really bizarre. Even a deleted scene had her daydream about being her queen (whether it’s considered canon or not depends on what you count as such). Even if it wasn’t a canon scene, it gives insight of how Zira acts about Scar alternatively. Kovu was initially gonna be Scar’s son but cut out because that would make Kovu and Kiara’s relationship incestuous. I can see her being one of the lions that fled after Taka and Mufasa did and somehow survived. Taking in Kovu could be similar to how Taka took in Mufasa.

I agree with the theory that Zira is related to Kiros and worked for him when he was alive. She has to be around Taka's age as well. However, I think they’ll change some things, she will not have any real connection to Scar. Scar was never a good leader, and while it might be heartbreaking to imagine him never having a partner, that’s part of what makes him a villain. It wouldn’t make much sense for Zira to seek vengeance for Scar. Instead, I believe she’s more likely to be obsessed with Kiros, dedicated to his legacy, and determined to avenge him since he was a good leader and Mufasa killed Kiros. She will try to take revenge from Mufasa’s son, Simba.

The lioness outsiders could have been Mufasa, Takas/Scars and Sirabis age at the time so when you think about it the lion most probably could have been Zira because if scar and Mufasa lived till lion king two if they weren’t killed why couldn’t zira have lived until then. Just my opinion

At this point I think Disney running with the live action theme wouldn’t be too bad, and I think it might be a good idea for them to make a lion king sequel that could be combination of “Lion king 2: Simbas Pride” and “the Lion gaurd” with the white lions being the outsider lions from the OG “Lion king 2”

Lmao Kiros had a giant group with 3 Males, (one was him, 2nd his son and third was the one whom he got killed), and with so many Lionesses, we never had a full glance on every Single of the Lionesses, so maybe Zira was in fact among them, just we didn't spot her.
A moral of lion king is: the outsider lions are cannibals. Kiros' had his lionesses kill one of his failed servants. Then he and his pride fought Mufasa & Taka/Scar Zira's lionesses were eating Simba's lionesses and she threatened to kill one of her own lionesses.

I think that Zira is a few months older than Simba. Her mother could have been one of the lionesses that survived the fight and she could have been pregnant with Zira at that time. Zira's father could have been Kiros or his son. This could also be the reason why she hates Simba and Mufasa so much: because Mufasa killed her father and grandfather/ father and brother. No you guys don’t understand. Taka was raised by his father to think that he would be king. But that was for the pride that his FATHER was already king for. Taka was never suppose to be king for “milayla” or the pride lands. Mufasa was the rightful king for the pride lands.

I got a feeling that we’re witnessing the start of Lion King Live Action Cinematic Universe because Mufasa sets up Lion King 2 (which will probably be called Kiara: The Lion Queen) This would set up a Kion series showing where he was in the events of the sequel (he leaves to join a new pride like lions do in real life but this time with his lion guard friends) I could also see another movie or series being based on The Outsiders with Scar at the lead showing the beginning of his deceptive behavior and reign of a pride, while also showing Mufasa and Sarabis pride growing (and ending with Nukas father being revealed which would be Scar or another Lion) And other projects that would come from these projects
They could bring this all together in a Live Action of Simba's Pride. They made lore and look changes before, so they could make Zira a white lion also as some of her other outsiders which would make the ending "we are one" even more meaningful, welcoming back the outsiders into a pride like the ones that they once got banished from, for being different.

These remakes are probably supposed to be retellings to tie in all canon stuff, make others canon, and give origin to different characters and whatnot. We might see whatever lead to the hyenas being sent to the elephant graveyard because they seemed to live just fine in the Pridelands yet Shenzi said lions and hyenas had been at war for centuries back in the first live action movie.

I've been theorizing on RUclips comments the idea of the Outsiders being the same white lions from Kiros group since I watched the movie last Sunday. Weird seeing recent video pop up on it... 🤷🏻♂️But hey, run with it. But yeah the theory was basically Kiros took scar in as one of his own. Basically a son. The lionesses considered scar the new heir to Kiros. When Kiros was killed, the lionesses didn't see Scar help in the fight. So to them...Scar became defacto leader of the group. Hence he was so revered by Zira and the outsiders in LK2. Mufasa likely never allowed them into the pride lands, since I guess they did kill his step-mom and things. When scar became king in the OG lion king, it wasn't shown that he brought these lionesses in, just the hyenas. When Simba took over, the followers of Scar (the white lionesses) were likely banished once again by Simba. At the end of the Lion King 2, it basically brings together all the lions including the white lion group. Simba had done something so huge even Mufasa couldn't bring himself to do, with the movie ending off on "Well done, my son - We are One" This theory isn't bulletproof, but it's my own headcanon to tie in lose ends from The new Movie and Lion King 2.
I was thinking this as I was watching the movie. Scar could actually be Kovu’s father in the live action Lion King 2 now since he’s not Mufasa’s biological brother. But because lions in the wild only live about 10 years, with lionesses living up to 15, at the end of The Lion King, Scar maybe had only a couple years left anyway and wanted an heir. So during his reign as king he went back to the outsiders and found Zira who held a grudge with Mufasa and his pride for killing her mother when she was only a cub during the events of the Mufasa movie. Zira had maybe another 6 years tops when Scar returned and decided to give Scar his heir to the throne. But things changed when Simba defeated scar the grudge was redirected to Simba.
Scar is darker in the animated films, but he was turned lighter to be sort of accurate to real lions with having a lighter mane to show he wasn't the more dominant. So it'd make sense for Zira to be one of the lioness' from Kiros' pride. Possibly a teenager like Sarabi, Mufasa, and Taka. I believe Zira could be an outsider of Kiros' pride. Also, I believe Nala's father is a rouge lion from outside the Pride Lands(I can't think of the spelling of what it's called in Mufasa.) And Sarafina was already in the Pride Lands.
i rewatched tlg and it reminded me of this, in an episode rafiki says that the outsiders are a pack of lions led by zira theres also the outsiders in mufasa, that may have became zira's pride after kiros died so basically zira could be one of the lionesses that then later took lead after kiros died, then got banished into the outlands for the murder attempt of mufasa (except zira got abandoned by the lionesses in tlk 2) just a random theory
Imagine how crazy of a killer duo Kiros and Zira would be if they worked together. I can see Zira being the type who would approach Kiros’ pride and not tell anyone until it was time to convince Taka to speak to them following the friendzoning. I think that's her mother, and Zira will be Kiros's daughter, and i don't think she is born in this movie yet, during the scene on the snowy mountains, you can notice that at least two of Kiros's females are pregnant, maybe one of them is Zira's mother, and since Mufasa won, he would have exiled the rest of Kiros's lionesses to the outlands, since they didn't respect the circle of life.
Is he really the good guy if he tries to kill his own brother after being friendzoned? Sure kinda dick-ish move for Mufasa and Sarabi to do that to him, but is that really worth killing someone over?? He’s arrogant and believed that Sarabi should have been his because he’s a royal. That’s not really indicative of being a good good guy, no matter how many times he saved someone.
I think this only works if they retcon Ziras history from a typical breakaway pride to the remnants of the outsider pride with no connection to Scar or things just get to contrived. I hope they do this for the sequel though.

while this theory could be possible, i find it unlikely just due to the fact that if this theory turns out to be true, by the time of Simba's pride (If Disney makes a live action of that) Zira would likely be elderly if she was one of the white lions. Assuming that all the Lions in Kiros' pride are all fully grown adults, A potential Zira would be 4-5 years at a minimum. Mufasa and taka not being fully grown in the movie making them around 2-3 years in age. assuming Mufasa and Sarabi had Simba not long after they were fully grown. meaning Zira would be around 5-7 years when Simba was born. add the 4 and 1/2 years minimum scar was king of pride rock, Zira would be 9-11 years old at a minimum when scar was defeated. on the assumption it took a year for he pridelands to come back to life, zira would be 10-12 when Kiara is presented. time jump to when kovu and kiara meet zira would be around 10 1/2- 12 1/2 at that time. skip another 4 1/2 years minimum to when zira would deem Kovu "ready" to kill simba, making her 15-17 years old during the battle. this age calculation is based on the theory that Zira is one of the white lions in Mufasa. Using the real life lifespan of lionesses at 15-16 years to calculate, Zira would very likely be approaching the end of her natural lifespan by the start of portion of Lion king Simba's pride where Kovu and Kiara are adults. (sorry for Rambling)
This was a great video. I like the theory. It's very creative and thoughtful, but not very likely. If this were true, it would make Zira at least twice as old as Simba and nearly three times older than Kiara. I just don't think she would have lived that long. 🤔
I have a VERY out there, but I think plausible theory. Please tell me what you think, even if you just say I'm crazy. During the fight with Kiros' pride, Sarabi finds a group of female lions and asks for their help. These lions it seemed then join with Sarabi and Mufasa to form the Pride Rock Pride. One of these females had a single cub with her. I think THAT cub grows up to become Zira. And before anybody says that cub was Nala, Mufasa and Sarabi did NOT have Simba until they were Full Adult Lions, and in the Mufasa movie, they're more-or-less teenagers. And Nala and Simba seem to be the same age more-or-less as well. I think this cub we see is Zira, with my idea being that she grows up knowing what Scar did, but somehow either takes pity on him or he somehow convinces her that he wasn't completely in the wrong. And once Scar takes over, because she grew up being the only lion that seemed to "like" Scar, he gives her special treatment compared to the rest of the lioness. And when Scar dies, she has now been basically brainwashed into thinking he was the True King, hence why see leaves/is banished from Pride Rock. Finally, if she IS this cub from the end of the Mufasa movie, then this would make her the "Perfect Age" of Lion to have Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu with their Age Gaps but not also not making her an "Old Lion" by any means. I know this is a lot, but with it seeming like Disney may make The Lion King 2 into a "Live Action" Remake in the near-ish future, Zira feels like the only "piece of the puzzle" missing and this idea of mine, to me anyways, seems like just the "Disney Surprise Villain" way to Introduce her and explain her in these Live Action movies' canons.

Zira was banished when Simba took the throne because she was part of the group who supported Scar, I doubt Mufasa would had allowed Kiro's sisters to stay, they were more wicked than him.

I’m sorry but you’re actually very wrong on multiple factors. First those two main lionesses have names and are kyros sisters. Second mufasa and scar are TEENAGERS in the movie while the white lions are full grown adults. Third if she was one of the lions that would make kovu the same age as simba and he’s not he’s just slightly older than Kiara. 4th the live action movies and the cartoons are two separate beings. Disney already announced this. They’re NOT CONNECTED!! 5th scar continuously asks sarabi to be his showing no interest in any other lioness. So it’s not necessarily possible for him to be with zira when he’s constantly focused on sarabi. So no she’s not a white lion

I don't think Scar loved Zira. I think Zira loved Scar, but it was one-sided. In the live action, Scar demands Sarabi to be his Queen and she rejects him. In a deleted scene in the original that was a part of the musical, Scar tried to force Nala to be his queen. Never once was it implied he loved Zira. I feel he was using her just to get an heir since Sarabi and/or Nala rejected him.
ok just gonna say... they're called the /outlanders/ NOT the outsiders in the second movie. not to mention they seem older than Mufasa and Taka ( being teens at that point while all the outsiders seemed like adults ) and Zira would have had to be either the same age or a little younger in order to have survived all of simba's elders in the second movie and still be able to fight well and idolize scar prior to his death. honestly i think it'd be more likely Zira was that young cub in the end of Mufasa. ( unlikely but who knows. ) the cub was the right color and had a dark stripe on its head, although to be fair most of the lions have that stripe to some extent lol. also if Scar had " fallen in love with Zira " he wouldn't have kept wanting Sarabi to be his queen when Zira was obviously still around, that doesn't make sense in a typical disney fashion imo.
@martinmatejka4190 they / are / outsiders but are referred to as outlanders because they are from the outlands, while simba and his pride are the pridelanders, because they are from the pridelands. if you wanna get real technical they're not really even " outsiders " in the general sense, because they were banished /from/ simba's pride meaning they were originally a part of their pride and weren't outsiders to begin with.

Cool video and theory! I originally thought Zira was one of the white lionesses from Kiros' pride. But nowadays I'm more inclined to believe that it's more likely that Zira is a normal-colored lioness in this live-action universe as well. To stay true to her original character.
I believe she made a small cameo at the end of the 2019 film. When Simba was making Scar confess that he killed Mufasa, a lioness arrives just as the "camera" moves away from Scar and Simba and gives a wide view of Pride Rock. All the lionesses allied with Sarabi and Nala were already there, so the lioness who arrives later can only be Zira.
She was taking care of Vitani and Kovu (newborns) in a nearby cave. Then she heard the commotion outside and went to see what it was. She couldn't participate in the final battle because she didn't have the strength, having just had her cubs and her lionesses were hunting.

Kiros also kinda reminded me of a male version of Zira. Zira could also be related to Taka's old pride or be a distant relative of him, hence why they look so much alike. Maybe a daughter of Obasi's brother who made his own pride somewhere else, in real life nature two cousins would still mate. Then later on they probably met up when Scar became King of the Pridelands. Was also very glad that Mads Mikkelsen voiced Kiros in both the original and Danish version, this guy is literally gold!

That would be kinda weird because she acts like a total fangirl about Scar in TLK2. Would it be normal for a sister to act like an obsessed fangirl about her own brother? As someone with an older brother, that comes off as really bizarre. Even a deleted scene had her daydream about being her queen (whether it’s considered canon or not depends on what you count as such). Even if it wasn’t a canon scene, it gives insight of how Zira acts about Scar alternatively. Kovu was initially gonna be Scar’s son but cut out because that would make Kovu and Kiara’s relationship incestuous. I can see her being one of the lions that fled after Taka and Mufasa did and somehow survived. Taking in Kovu could be similar to how Taka took in Mufasa.

I agree with the theory that Zira is related to Kiros and worked for him when he was alive. She has to be around Taka's age as well. However, I think they’ll change some things, she will not have any real connection to Scar. Scar was never a good leader, and while it might be heartbreaking to imagine him never having a partner, that’s part of what makes him a villain. It wouldn’t make much sense for Zira to seek vengeance for Scar. Instead, I believe she’s more likely to be obsessed with Kiros, dedicated to his legacy, and determined to avenge him since he was a good leader and Mufasa killed Kiros. She will try to take revenge from Mufasa’s son, Simba.

If this is true, than if Zira and her lioness are related to Krios and his pride, and if Taka found them, than why wouldn't he either lead them in attack on Mufasa and his pride, or just take them and go back to where his original pride lived rule there and you know what I can picture the scene lets says Mufasa, Sarabi, Zazu and the pride are relaxing when they see Scar coming with the outsiders behind him, which causes everyone to stand and when Scar reaches Mufasa.

Or even live anymore. Lionesses live up to 168-192 months, and I’m pretty sure that Simba and Kiara growing up is more than 168 months.
I think that Zira is a few months older than Simba. Her mother could have been one of the lionesses that survived the fight and she could have been pregnant with Zira at that time. No you guys don’t understand. Taka was raised by his father to think that he would be king. But that was for the pride that his FATHER was already king for. Taka was never suppose to be king for “milayla” or the pride lands. Mufasa was the rightful king for the pride lands.

I got a feeling that we’re witnessing the start of Lion King Live Action Cinematic Universe because
Mufasa sets up Lion King 2 (which will probably be called Kiara: The Lion Queen)
This would set up a Kion series showing where he was in the events of the sequel (he leaves to join a new pride like lions do in real life but this time with his lion guard friends)
I could also see another movie or series being based on The Outsiders with Scar at the lead showing the beginning of his deceptive behavior and reign of a pride, while also showing Mufasa and Sarabis pride growing (and ending with Nukas father being revealed which would be Scar or another Lion)
And other projects that would come from these projects
They could bring this all together in a Live Action of Simba's Pride. They made lore and look changes before, so they could make Zira a white lion also as some of her other outsiders which would make the ending "we are one" even more meaningful, welcoming back the outsiders into a pride like the ones that they once got banished from, for being different.

I've been theorizing on RUclips comments the idea of the Outsiders being the same white lions from Kiros group since I watched the movie last Sunday.
Weird seeing recent video pop up on it... 🤷🏻♂️But hey, run with it.
But yeah the theory was basically Kiros took scar in as one of his own. Basically a son. The lionesses considered scar the new heir to Kiros. When Kiros was killed, the lionesses didn't see Scar help in the fight. So to them...Scar became defacto leader of the group. Hence he was so revered by Zira and the outsiders in LK2. Mufasa likely never allowed them into the pride lands, since I guess they did kill his step-mom and things.
When scar became king in the OG lion king, it wasn't shown that he brought these lionesses in, just the hyenas. When Simba took over, the followers of Scar (the white lionesses) were likely banished once again by Simba.
At the end of the Lion King 2, it basically brings together all the lions including the white lion group. Simba had done something so huge even Mufasa couldn't bring himself to do, with the movie ending off on "Well done, my son - We are One"
This theory isn't bulletproof, but it's my own headcanon to tie in lose ends from The new Movie and Lion King 2.

I was thinking this as I was watching the movie. Scar could actually be Kovu’s father in the live action Lion King 2 now since he’s not Mufasa’s biological brother. But because lions in the wild only live about 10 years, with lionesses living up to 15, at the end of The Lion King, Scar maybe had only a couple years left anyway and wanted an heir. So during his reign as king he went back to the outsiders and found Zira who held a grudge with Mufasa and his pride for killing her mother when she was only a cub during the events of the Mufasa movie. Zira had maybe another 6 years tops when Scar returned and decided to give Scar his heir to the throne. But things changed when Simba defeated scar the grudge was redirected to Simba.

Scar is darker in the animated films, but he was turned lighter to be sort of accurate to real lions with having a lighter mane to show he wasn't the more dominant. So it'd make sense for Zira to be one of the lioness' from Kiros' pride. Possibly a teenager like Sarabi, Mufasa, and Taka. I believe Zira could be an outsider of Kiros' pride. Also, I believe Nala's father is a rouge lion from outside the Pride Lands(I can't think of the spelling of what it's called in Mufasa.) And Sarafina was already in the Pride Lands.

I think that's her mother, and Zira will be Kiros's daughter, and i don't think she is born in this movie yet, during the scene on the snowy mountains, you can notice that at least two of Kiros's females are pregnant, maybe one of them is Zira's mother, and since Mufasa won, he would have exiled the rest of Kiros's lionesses to the outlands, since they didn't respect the circle of life.

Sure kinda dick-ish move for Mufasa and Sarabi to do that to him, but is that really worth killing someone over?? He’s arrogant and believed that Sarabi should have been his because he’s a royal. That’s not really indicative of being a good good guy, no matter how many times he saved someone.
I think this only works if they retcon Ziras history from a typical breakaway pride to the remnants of the outsider pride with no connection to Scar or things just get to contrived. I hope they do this for the sequel though.

while this theory could be possible, i find it unlikely just due to the fact that if this theory turns out to be true, by the time of Simba's pride (If Disney makes a live action of that) Zira would likely be elderly if she was one of the white lions. Assuming that all the Lions in Kiros' pride are all fully grown adults, A potential Zira would be 4-5 years at a minimum. Mufasa and taka not being fully grown in the movie making them around 2-3 years in age. assuming Mufasa and Sarabi had Simba not long after they were fully grown. meaning Zira would be around 5-7 years when Simba was born. add the 4 and 1/2 years minimum scar was king of pride rock, Zira would be 9-11 years old at a minimum when scar was defeated. on the assumption it took a year for he pridelands to come back to life, zira would be 10-12 when Kiara is presented. time jump to when kovu and kiara meet zira would be around 10 1/2- 12 1/2 at that time. skip another 4 1/2 years minimum to when zira would deem Kovu "ready" to kill simba, making her 15-17 years old during the battle. this age calculation is based on the theory that Zira is one of the white lions in Mufasa. Using the real life lifespan of lionesses at 15-16 years to calculate, Zira would very likely be approaching the end of her natural lifespan by the start of portion of Lion king Simba's pride where Kovu and Kiara are adults. (sorry for Rambling)

I have a VERY out there, but I think plausible theory. Please tell me what you think, even if you just say I'm crazy. During the fight with Kiros' pride, Sarabi finds a group of female lions and asks for their help. These lions it seemed then join with Sarabi and Mufasa to form the Pride Rock Pride. One of these females had a single cub with her. I think THAT cub grows up to become Zira. And before anybody says that cub was Nala, Mufasa and Sarabi did NOT have Simba until they were Full Adult Lions, and in the Mufasa movie, they're more-or-less teenagers. And Nala and Simba seem to be the same age more-or-less as well. I think this cub we see is Zira, with my idea being that she grows up knowing what Scar did, but somehow either takes pity on him or he somehow convinces her that he wasn't completely in the wrong. And once Scar takes over, because she grew up being the only lion that seemed to "like" Scar, he gives her special treatment compared to the rest of the lioness. And when Scar dies, she has now been basically brainwashed into thinking he was the True King, hence why see leaves/is banished from Pride Rock. Finally, if she IS this cub from the end of the Mufasa movie, then this would make her the "Perfect Age" of Lion to have Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu with their Age Gaps but not also not making her an "Old Lion" by any means. I know this is a lot, but with it seeming like Disney may make The Lion King 2 into a "Live Action" Remake in the near-ish future, Zira feels like the only "piece of the puzzle" missing and this idea of mine, to me anyways, seems like just the "Disney Surprise Villain" way to Introduce her and explain her in these Live Action movies' canons.

First those two main lionesses have names and are kyros sisters.
Second mufasa and scar are TEENAGERS in the movie while the white lions are full grown adults.

4th the live action movies and the cartoons are two separate beings. Disney already announced this. They’re NOT CONNECTED!!

Kiros' Sisters died in the last fight. They died in an earthquake in a fissure in the earth. So that's rather unlikely.

She cares for her kids. But the idiots at Disney cut so many scenes from TLK2 that provide depth to TLK's hottest bad girl that you get a skewed, shallow view of her.

Here's an amazing thery. Since others say Mufasa murdered Kiros's son. If Zira is either his sister or his daughter, maybe she murdered Simba's son Kopa to get revenge on Mufasa for what he did to Kiros's son. Blood for blood🩸
Taka is not the powerful villain he once was i think one of the outsiders must be Zira i think Zira must have been in the new Mufasa movie

I think she may be from Kiros pride but I don't think she was born yet, after kiros died maybe she was the daughter of one of the females later down the line, and maybe she was told the story of mufasa and how they got banished from milele and THAT'S what built the hate in her. Milele was supposed to be Kiroses but he lost and the rest of the females where forced to live in the outlands ❗❗ 👀 guess we have to wait and see what Disney does with the next movie
I don't think Scar loved Zira. I think Zira loved Scar, but it was one-sided. In the live action, Scar demands Sarabi to be his Queen and she rejects him. In a deleted scene in the original that was a part of the musical, Scar tried to force Nala to be his queen. Never once was it implied he loved Zira. I feel he was using her just to get an heir since Sarabi and/or Nala rejected him.
ok just gonna say... they're called the /outlanders/ NOT the outsiders in the second movie. not to mention they seem older than Mufasa and Taka ( being teens at that point while all the outsiders seemed like adults ) and Zira would have had to be either the same age or a little younger in order to have survived all of simba's elders in the second movie and still be able to fight well and idolize scar prior to his death. honestly i think it'd be more likely Zira was that young cub in the end of Mufasa. ( unlikely but who knows. ) the cub was the right color and had a dark stripe on its head, although to be fair most of the lions have that stripe to some extent lol. also if Scar had " fallen in love with Zira " he wouldn't have kept wanting Sarabi to be his queen when Zira was obviously still around, that doesn't make sense in a typical disney fashion imo.

@martinmatejka4190 they / are / outsiders but are referred to as outlanders because they are from the outlands, while simba and his pride are the pridelanders, because they are from the pridelands.
if you wanna get real technical they're not really even " outsiders " in the general sense, because they were banished /from/ simba's pride meaning they were originally a part of their pride and weren't outsiders to begin with.
